I think it's very interesting to watch Roy and Ed always arguing and competing (*cough*FULLMETALVSFLAME*cough*), because even though they're both good guys, they don't always get along. XD

Envy VS Ed, and Ed VS Russel are somewhat different kinds of rivalry, but both interesting to watch all the same to me.

Ed V Envy was the only major rivalry on a personal level.
I don't get the Al v Wrath one atall...they even were friendly in the movie.

Lust's daily battle Gravity is my personal fav...

The two involving Kimbley are vendettas, not rivalries.

If you include manga, Mei and Ling are political rivals as a prince and a princess, I think.
And, it's not a friendly kind. It's a deadly rivalry.

[spoiler]For a moment in episode 31 or 32, Al was really mad at Wrath because the latter's got Ed's limbs. It was really short, but in a way it was sort of like a rivalry.

mustang vs pride at the end was just too cool

it was really sad too. it totally ripped my heart up when mustang got beat up like that. *sobsobsob* i may have also voted for other to say scar vs lust... but that was kinda, ishy and not really a rivalry?

i love Roy vs Ed... i find it hysterical. It's so much fun to read...

@Tombow: That rivalry makes me sad... i love them both so much, i wish they wouuldn't fight like that. Although, it did make me laugh when Mei and RanFan got yelled at for fighting...

Ed versus Roy has to be my favorite.

Kimbley vs. Martel.

[spoiler]I like this particular rivalry, not only because Kimbley makes things so splodey Wheeeee! Ae likes splodey and Martel is, after all the snake lady, hee hee. (*sees all of your disaproving looks* Whaaa~t? She is!), who she is. They did, after all work together in the Ishbal massacare, and the fact that Kimbley turned traitor to Greed and Dorchet, Martel, and (I can't remember his name...), really makes this one a good rivalry. Though I have to sort of agree with Void. It is sort of a vendetta.[/spoiler]

Ed vs Envy - Ed never wins, but it seems these two have nearly equal strength. So, it was interesting to watch.
Envy vs Greed - Envy`s "escaping" tactic! That was cool! I`m dreaming to make a "gif" of it.
Ed vs Russel - very funny, indeed.

EdxRoy Those two have way too much pride which makes their rivalry quite interesting.

I'm going with Roy vs Ed because being rivals means you just want to be better or surpass each other. That's what they do.

However, Envy vs Ed is more on a enemy basis because they absolutely hate each other with the intention to kill, not really surpass.
