Alright I felt like testing your writing skills and seeing if we can make a seemingly good story.There's no rules, so I'll let the next person start off.

It seems quite a shame that no-one ever responded to this. I can't exactly say I'm qualified to start it out (I've been lurking here for weeks but never posted any fics) but if nobody else will I'll give it a shot!

Here goes:

*Knock knock knock*

Alphphonse looked up from Transmutation of Earth and Earth-like Substances, Vol. III to the small clock on the bare desk. 2:37 AM? He was startled, thought the shock was muted by it having only an empty metal shell to run through. Having no human tiredness to remind him, he'd lost track of time. Where was his brother? Ed had left their small dorm in Central Headquarters early that afternoon with a vague comment about a quick errand. He should have--

*Knock knock knock*

"Sorry!" Al jumped up and ran the short distance to open the door. "Yes?"

It was Lieutenant Colonel Mustang.

"Hello, Alphonse." He paused. "I don't mean to worry you, but..." It didn't help; he could already see the worry in Mustang's own face.

"What?" Tension edged into Al's voice.

"If your brother was going to do something extremely stupid, where would he go?"
