Laurell K. Hamilton is a wonderful author. I read her Meredith Gentry series...

I need to read some classics...

@New
YAY!! Wow...but it's great when you love a book that much. Watchers is pretty beat up. Poor thing...

Chiyo: We're reading The Canterbury Tales in Middle English. It was horrible when I first started, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn't so bad. The professor has us read aloud as a class sometimes, and I've started to pick up that accent as I read it to myself. >_>

Ed'sgirl89: I started reading the Anita Blake series last summer, but once I got to...Blue Moon, I think it was...I just couldn't do it anymore. Hamilton's style got on my nerves. What got me through the early books was the plot and the mysteries, but I found that both were lacking the more I read. And I wanted to throw stuff at Anita for making such a mess of her relationships. >_>

Sometimes when I hag around at Times Square, I will have a sit and read for hours at BORDERS...

By The Way, Borders is the largest bookstore in Malaysia...

I was a bad girl and went to Waterstones, they have a 3 for 2 on books and I just can't compete with that temptation. Think I am going to read 'The Alchemists Daughter' first.

Before I really didn't read books but this year I have started to. I've noticed reading is not boring, it's funny. At least when you can choose a book you'll like. I've decited I'll read much books next years.

I normally only read manga or FMA novels but sometimes I'll find a good "real" book

I only read manga and other anime related stuff, If I can. I will read stuff that I have to though.

I've read a few non-manga books, but I can't say I liked all of them.

I LOVE to read; it is my passion (well, writing is, but reading comes with it). I read more than a book a day and spend my Algebra and Language Arts classes reading (which drives people insane, considering I still have a 99 in both classes).

I read a lot. Of course, nowadays I'm distracted by Hagaren, but oh well. I read anything from
self-help books and fiction to scientific theories and essays. My record was reading 30 or 40 books during a week.
It was during summer break, I was bored, and there was nothing to do. Absolutely nothing.

Of course, I got very sick and dizzy. I kept seeing thousands of tiny red dots floating down.

yes yes yes! i do!
To Kill A Mockingbird is an amazing book.
MUST READ.

I read lots of manga. Does that count? tongue.gif

Just kidding! I read an avarage amount of books. In fact, every person reads at least 2000 words a day. Just a random fact.

I read a lot of books. Nineteen Eighty-Four remains my favourite one, though. I'm currently reading Das Kapital.

I read books, manga, even newspapers and some magazines. I love reading so much, that when I was in third grade, I got glasses because I read practically anywhere - which means also in places like moving vehicles and in the dark. I have a lot of favorite authors - J.K. Rowling, Lemony Snicket, Tamora Pierce, Garth Nix, Nicholas Sparks...to name a few.

Right now I'm reading "Sabriel" by Garth Nix, and loving it. happy.gif

Nineteen Eighty-Four! I loved that book. Freaky, in a sense, but good. Try Margaret Atwood's A Handmaid's Tale, it's of a similar idea, but the style is different.

I love reading! Mostly fantasy and science fiction, and books with lots of action. Romance novels bore me to no end. Has anyone tried Terry Pratchett's Discworld series? It's wonderfully insane.

Remember, Big Brother's watching...

I read all the time, but when I was a kid we only had 3 channels on TV and the internet didnt even exist. ( I know thats hard for some of you to even conceive... smile.gif ) So, we had books. I am currently reading 3 books.... and yes, I have read all the HP books.

Some of my favorite authors are Michael Crichton, Steven King, Issac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Michael Moorcock, etc.

Interestingly enough, the name of the hero...or morle like anti-hero, in Michael Moorcock's best series is, you guessed it....Elric.

Yes, of course I read. I love reading. Big sci-fi/fantasy fan. happy.gif
I own several hundred books and only 16 of them are manga XD

My favorite book ever is Watership Down, by Richard Adams. It was one of the first (non-picture) books I ever read.
I first read it when I was about seven years old, and I still love it :3
xxlittlebirdyxx
I love reading XD

I got banned from it once. ROFL!!!

For as long as I can remember, The Lord of the Rings, was my favorite book, hands down, no contest. I also considered Harry Potter really good, they're probably the first books I really got into, but they were definently not as good as LOTR.
But damnit, the 7th Harry Potter book has really made me think. I don't know...Deathly Hallows definently comes in second, if not first. It's wracking my brain, I just can't decide!

I really find it hard to start a book, and get into them. And have only read about 10 in my whole lifetime. Not including books at school, you're forced to read them. I have started many books, and just quit at the 5th chapter or whatever. Mum always told me to read or I wont do well in English.
When I pick a book up. I read a couple of pages, and start to daydream whilst reading it. So then I have to read the page all over again. It happens all the time, and gets frustrating, so I just dont do it anymore.
henk
