Summary: Ed and Winry have gotten married and know have a young girl called Marissa, aka Mari. But when Winry is killed and the Military wont say what really happened, Marissa is set on a journey. Even as the things in the shadows watch your every move..

Prologue: Before

“Dawdy?” A small blonde haired girl asked. Her name was Marissa.

“What is it know pumpkin?” Edward asked his 6-year-old daughter has he picked her up and placed her on his lap. Marissa looked up at her father with her bright blue eyes, just like her mother. Winry Rockbell, well Wirny Elric know. It had been 6 years since they were 19 and had gotten married. Marissa looked down at his pocket and grabbed the small pocket watch that Ed had gotten when he was 12. Ed gave a small laugh; it was hard for Marissa not to pick up shinny things.

“Whats dis?” She asked, staring at the watch, with the same eyes that Winry would use. Ed picked up the watch and looked at it.

“It’s a pocket watch Mari, it tells time. See?” Ed said to his six year old daughter as he pointed to the time that was moving. Marissa could daze forever at the watch, just like her mother. Winry looked up from her book. She smiled as she ran her fingers threw her hair and focused back on the book. Mari looked up at her mother and hopped of Ed’s lap and on to Winry’s. Ed got up and walked over to Winry and Mari and sat down on the ground next to them.

“Watcha reading mommy?” the blonde girl asked. Winry looked up from her book and looked down at her blue-eyed daughter.

“An automail magazine sweetie” Winry said. Mari looked up at her mother and father with a look of curiosity in her eyes.

“She doesn’t know what automail is yet Win” Edward said in a low whisper.

“I know, but she’ll learn soon Ed” Winry replied, “Remember, she is our daughter after all. Daughter of the Fullmetal Alchemist and his mechanic, she’ll learn quickly,” she quickly added.

Mari looked at the magazine with a dazed look in her bright blue eyes. Winry got up and left the magazine for Mari to read, and headed to the kitchen. Ed followed her has he looked back to see his daughter reading the magazine with wide eyes. He gave a small smile as he put his arm around Winry’s tiny waist. Winry looked from Ed to Mari, she smiled as she snuggled up closer to Ed and watch their daughter play around with Den.

To bad those days where limited

3 years later.

Alphonse put his head on the table. Ed clenched his fist together. Tina looked down at the two nine year old girls.

One had golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She wore a black sweatshirt with a green tee shirt under it and blue jeans. The other girl had dark brown hair and green eyes. She wore a blue long sleeved tee shirt, and wore blue shorts. Her name was Riley. Riley tugged on her mother’s shirt. Tina ignored her and walked over to her husband, Al.

Alphonse looked up at his older brother, “Brother,” he began, “What are we going to do know?” Ed looked at Al, tears in his eyes.

“There’s nothing we can do Al,” He said looking at his daughter Mari. Mari looked up at her father.

“Daddy? Whats wrong?” She asked. Ed looked down at Mari. Holding back his tears, he took her by the hand and led her into the living room. Mari looked up at Ed, wondering what the heck was going on.

“Mari, something has happened” Ed began. Mari looked up at him with her bright blue eyes.

“Mari, Mom’s dead”

OoO. Winry’s Funreal.OoO

How’d the heck did we wind up like this?

It was a warm summer night. A purple streak dazed across the sun, which was now setting.

Nothings wrong just as long as you know that someday I will,
Someday, Somehow, I’m gonna make it alright but not right know,
I know your wondering when,
You’re the only one who knows that
Someday, Somehow, I’m gonna make it alright but not right know,
I know your wondering when.

It was around 70 degrees, and a light breeze swept threw the town. If only this never had happened.

Ed and Mari stood off in the corner. Mari would not let go of her father. No matter what for, she wouldn’t let go. Who could blame her? It was her mother’s funeral after all.

Now the story’s played out like this, just like a paperback novel,
Less we write an ending that fits, instead of a Hollywood horror.

Ed walked over to the grave, with Mari at his side. Holding in his tears, he stood there next to her grave. Mari couldn’t hold it in any longer. She burst out into tears and hugged her father’s leg. Ed looked down at Mari and patted her on the head. She looked up at him, but tears blocked her vision. She took her sleeve and wiped them off. It was nearing sundown and the funeral was over. Ed stared to head back to the house, but Mari stayed behind.

She looked at her mother’s grave, tears still in her eyes.

R.I.P

Wow...*sniff sniff* That was sad, in a good way. It made me wanna cry, although I didn't but still. Haha. There were a few spelling mistakes in there, but that was still good. So I'm guessing this is a one-shot? I have no idea if it is or not, but I loved it. Bravo! & Well done!
