<Edited to add polls. ... Just because many posters expressed that in the thread!! ^^ 02/25/07 ~Tombow>hi i'm new to the forums so i thought i'd start with one of my fav characters

how do u like hawkeye's hair done? do u prefer it tied up when she is working or do u prefer it down when she isn't working? i can't decide.

being a rabid hawkeye fangirl, i think she's incredibly sexy either way, but i think i like her better with her hair down. it sort of shows her other personality, the natural riza outside of work and war. not to say i don't love the hair up and military riza, i just think that the hair down is prettier for her

I like it better up. When it's down, she looks like many other anime characters. The hair up distinguishes her. Plus it stresses her no-nonsense personality.

hehehe, welcome to the forums, ongm... i hope you drop by the royxriza thread :,3
i like her hair either way as long as it's not short like it used to be (boy's cut). although i like seeing it down w/o the clip... it's better to see it on rare occasions since it makes it more special.

hair up= serious, down to business, will fight-and win
hair down- much more lady-like, i'm sorry about using this meaning of soft, feminine, and girly. I know being lady-like isn't only about that...but in this context it is.

With her hair up, she's a fetishist's [wet] dream. Seriously.

I like both, depending on the situation. She looks very professional with her hair up, more alert. With her hair down, she IS more feminine and prettier. Not that she isn't pretty with her hair up either! It's so hard to choose . . .
I'm sure Roy would agree and have an equally hard time choosing!

Up, otherwise she'd really be a Winry-clone. (vice versa)

Seriously, I really prefer it up.
And somehow this whole thing reminds me of Lady Une and her split personality...

I agree. ^__^
I personally like Hawkeye's hair both ways but when her hair is up, she has this professional aura around her that is so...indescribably distinctive.

Hmmm... makes me think about Rose... if she pulls her hair in a ponytail, won't she be a female version of Ed?

(I'd like to see her doing something with her hair, though)

me too, i don't want riza's hair in a ponytail... makes her look... too common, too ordinary. i dunno, i guess i too have seen too many anime girls in ponytails...

I guess... it's not only a question about how she looks..; her hair up is more convenient at work... she wouldn't be able to shoot properly if her hair was waving in front of her eyes constantly.
I like both. And of course she'a smart blonde, like me

but my hair is 99,83 % of the time down.
(hmm, imagine her in Sailor Moon hairstyle?

Riza looks fine with hair up (at work) but when she's with Roy (not at work) i think her hair down looks better (especially when Roy's hand is touching it)

I hated her hair in the earlier episodes when it was boy-short (like Ross's) But as it grew I actually came to like the kick-ass bun-ponytail thing, it gives her personality and doesn't make her look so much like Winry O.o

-with Roy on non work day:DOWN!!DOWN!!!DOWN!!! <3

I, for some odd reason, kind of liked her hair in the beginning. It was militaresque and made her look young and cute. I admit, is was boyish, but it was different amd realistic (as in fitting for her occupation). Bu yeah, long is good too(down!).

Up/down/short hair doesn't matter.. Up, sexy and dangerous Riza appears.. Down, Riza turns into some sassy, gentle and beautiful lady.. Short hair, tomboyish yet strict and cute.. Riza's still as pretty in any style

I still prefer her with her long-hair down..

Either up or down, it looks good either way, but personally I didn't like her with the short hair. I love it when her hair is up, it makes her look like someone not to be messed with. But when Roy's around, I'd prefer it down. She doesn't wear her hair down a lot, so it's kinda like something to look forward to...?

I like both..the up hairdo distinguishes her and shows Hawkeye's 'official' side,
but in her down hairdo, Hawkeye seems a lot less stiff, so we can see her relaxed side.
The short hair, though, not so much.

I definitely like it better down. I also liked how long it appeared in the anime.
P.S. I don't think she looks like Winry, other then the fact that they have the same hair color.

Riza's pretty, whether her hair is long or short, or done up or down.

It's like each of her hairstyles shows different sides of her, like her serious, no-nonsense, I-demand-respect (XD) side is portrayed by the bun she usually wears, and her more relaxed, gentler side is revealed when she wears her hair down. And when her hair was short, she gave me this impression of a young woman slowly blossoming into a strong heroine. XDDDDDD And it did show her youth back then, seeing that she was younger when she had short hair.
I'm sure Roy wouldn't mind either way.
