I'm new to myspace,I haven't even been on long enough to be in forums. But from what I hear it isn't that good. I pretty much only have an account to watch videos,and anime.

As for myspace, I think I have one but I ignor it for the most part unless I want to rant.

i have a myspace profile, it makes it easier to keep in touch with my friends since they are spread out all over the country. but im not addicted to it or anything. i mean, i come here more often then i do myspace

but there are alot of things on there that really upset me, like the stupidity of people bacically one of my "friends" (in don't like her much ) got a bulletin asking to post up her phone number for everyone to see... and she did, with her area code. we b*ched about it for a couple days but it's things like that, that make myspace a real troublesome(sp?) and annoying place

I have one, but I didn't make it for any special reason, in fact a friend of mine ask me if I had one, I was like "A my..what??" I didn't even now what they were, so I made one out of curiosity and I have never used it since.

I have one. I like it. It gives me something to do while I'm bored, but I'm not one of those freaks who use it to meet strange people or showcase illegal activities. Basically, I use it to keep in touch with friends and try out/keep up to date with bands I like or potentially like.

I started one, but I never update it...I see so little point to it as I'd only want to communicate with my friends.

Some of my friends have a myspace and thinks its a cool way to stay in contact.
For me I thik email is. Because what if your friend isnt on?!

I don't like how people hate myspace because of that. There are some cases where it was not avoidable since they were tracked down and such, but whoever is stupid enough to meet up with someone is myspace is just... stupid. Also, that is why you lie about info on it or set it to private so no one knows your info. If someone is your friend in real life, they will already know your personal info and don't need it broadcasted on the net.

Also, that is like saying you hate the internet because people can be harassed through it. Myspace is a part of the internet, I do realize, so the broader category should be even worse, ne? It's just how you use it.

I'm joining with the older kiddies here and saying MySpace blows. It's part of the Internet, a VERY PUBLIC domain, where a pedofile with a sick fetish for hardcore bondage will do ANYTHING to meet a child and take him/her away for their sexual pleasure and then decapitate and dispose the carcass and head in two seperate locations.

Also, it's an excuse for people who don't update their blogs regularly and just want people to listen to their crappy music on the front page. God....damnit.

Wha? Everyone I know uses it fairly regularly and changes songs, bulletins, posts etc. They don't just do that front page song thing. It really is used to keep in touch and talk to friends and not just so pedophiles can rape you. People can and still do use chatrooms, but I guess no one pays attention to those now that MySpace is all over the news. Like I said, if you enter false information, and don't want people knowing your face you can set it to private. And if you're still worried about someone seeing your face and that's all since it's private, you can have some character/celeb image as your main image and pics of yourself that only your friends can view. Not that hard if you think about it.

Although it has to be noted these girls spoke to him on msn, so how did he get their e-mails to talk to them? Also, +18 are sleeping with those 15 and under all the time and its not even noted. Not that I don't think the guys a perv.

I do have a myspace, and I do use it. But it's not the best site on the web. There are so many better ones.

Besides, I only use my account to communicate with my friends. It's really not great.

I have a Myspace only because e-mail and AIM is screwed up on my computer, so it's the only way I can stay in contact with one of my friends who moved.

My profile is set private so only people who know my last name can view it.

I hate MySpace because I don't want to get into a situation when some guy wants to sexually harrass me! I do not understand who in the right mind would allow their kids to have an account when there are sickos out there waiting to rape them.

I prefer Xanga over MySpace. Xanga has better protection. (I have an Xanga account.) I know MonsterEnvy prefers Xanga, too.

People can sexualy harrass you anywhere. As you walk to school or even on these forums.

God dammit, why? Why O God does it always go to rape with you? Every fu*king topic and situtation, always turns out 'rape' in one way or another. --- D ) I highly dout that any guy would want to engage in sexual advancements on you.

Also big fu*king deal that parents let their kid use myspace, or any other group affiliated website. Its their choice, and their choice alone.

phoenix dying, you should tone down your language a little. As well, I don't think condoning suicide is such a good idea, because if anything actually happens, it might stay on your conscience forever. If you really feel that it all needed to be said, then that's fine, but you couldn't have made it a little less harsh?

I have one, but I only made it after one of my friends sentme one of the invite things. (Plus, she was moving to Germany, and it would be hard to contact her other than myspace.) But most of my friends are bands, so I have no problem about it..although I'm hardly ever on it.

I have no idea why reading other people's entries about their lives is so much amusing.

I used to have a Myspace a couple of years ago before it became really popular. A friend of mine invited me.

I kept getting invites from lots of weird people (guys mostly), and invites to vanity groups as well. I just ended up deleting my account after a while. I'm on another community type thing which is much less annoying.

That's odd. I am not invited by many people, especially weird people I don't know. The worst who's invited me is this girl I don't really like, or some random band with bad music has tried adding me. And no one has added me to a group or anything... I guess my myspace is just very boring and unappealing so people don't add me Ahh, the perks of being a wallflower.

I've had a MySpace for over two years now, but I never understood the great appeal or charm.

Facebook is a better way to connect and stay in touch with people, me thinks. I just like how the layout and overall view is more clean without any flashy GIF backgrounds found on MySpace.

I took one look at the main website and I automatically decided that I never wanted to associate myself with the website. The end.

Plus, there's been so many media coverage on MySpace in the media claiming identity theft, murders, whatever. Makes me want to associate myself with the website even less.

Another perk of these sites is to voluntarily do the investigative work for companies and other such vested interst groups!

Haha I have a myspace & am on it constantly. The main reason being that i like to be in contact with my friends after school. Seeing as how majority of them live a good 20 - 30 min drive from my house, & i cant talk on my cell before 9 myspace = teh ....zu

Once again, I had no idea something like that could have a sexual orientation.

Anywho, I loathe Myspace not because of the floods of complaints of "sexual harassment" on there [as that could happen anywhere, and you have to be pretty freaking stupid to open yourself up like that anyway on there, since the majority of these complains come from people who give out their name, address, pictures of themselves in next to nothing and other random crap and honestly expect no one will notice], but because I see absolutely no point in having one. There's absolutely nothing wrong with using it just to stay in touch with friends [as I know people who use it just for that purpose and that purpose only], but otherwise...the random mp3s, pictures, bright yellow backgrounds with pink fonts and sparkly names carry no appeal to me at all.

That and it's just a popularity contest. I have a friend who cried because her friend dropped her to number four [from number one] on their "top eight" when they promised to be number one on each. Haeh?

And these movies make Myspace pages as their sites. WTF? You had enough to make the movie to begin with, surely you have enough to buy a freakin' domain name and make the place look nice.
