Plot Summary: Echizen Ryoma is a young tennis prodigy who has won 4 consecutive tennis championships but who constantly lies in the shadow of his father, a former pro tennis player. but it's about tennis, and friendship, and it's great. if u buy the DVD's (from ebay or somethin) b careful cuz the grammar is horrible so if u arent good at english with grammar and stuff it may b tough 4 u.

but anyways it's a great show i got into it cuz well.. i like anime and i play tennis. the characters are all cool cuz they have their own little styles of play and its mainly about Ryoma Echizan who is a kid in High school but hesa first year student who is better than like evryone else. and they play thru tournaments enduring all sorts of things. the tennis in the show looks amazing i was surprised when i first saw it.

So if u r a girl that likes anime guys (freaks) WHAT. lol
or if u like sports anime's or just wanna get into a LONG series than this is 4 u. It's got good music too.

Tenjou tenge has not that great of music. o yea the jap voices are excellent it's got a lot of funny parts in it too. lol

YEAH!! finally a Tenpuri fan!!! I LOVE Tezuka! I abhor Atobe! (he should die and be denied all mirrors and flowers! that will teach him!)

yeah, a tenipuri thread! i finally caught up to anime-otaku's subs, 131! i love all of them except for kirihara. creepy bastard. and kabaji ("oosu.") i do feel a little pedophilic though because they're all in middle school (even if they look like high schoolers. seishungakuen, hyoutei gakuen, yamabuki chuugaku, they're all middle schools)! middle school in japan goes from 7th grade to 9th grade though, so i feel less pedophilic with the sannensei, like ooishi and tezuka XD not to say that kaidoh and ryouma don't still get my love.

PoT is the only series that i don't mind tons of shounen-ai pairings in....i kind of like ooishi/eiji, ooishi/tezuka, ryouma/momo, momo/kaidoh, kaidoh/inui, ootori/shishido, and.....i can't think of the others. i used to be strictly canon-het XD for het kamio/an is cute. sakuno is SO annoying. that cheer she made up, S-E-I! G-A-K! U can say! se-i-gaku! was annoying. and the constant "....ryouma-kun...!" tomo-chan is kind of funny. the ichinensei trio have their funny moments, especially horio, but the whole "deta! boomerang snake!" or "deta! momo-chan-senpai no dunk smash!" gets on my nerves. just TELL the opponent, why don't you. i love their impossible better-than-pro moves

my favorites would be....hmm. like i said, i like them all, minus kirihara and kabaji. well, hottest are tezuka, ooishi, kaidoh, ryouma (pedophilia! aah!), kajimoto (jyousei shounan's captain), yuuta, ootori (from hyoutei), and saeki (from rokkaku). cool but not as hot would be kamio, shishido, jirou, hiyoshi, sanada, and davide. davide's puns are awesome but you have to understand japanese for it to really be funny XD i used to dislike atobe and his "ore-sama"-ness but he's actually not so bad, after the training camp and rikkaidai matches.

tenipuri music is pretty good too! i like "flying bicycle" by ryouma and momo, "minna koko ni ita" by ryouma, "cross with you" by atobe, "honey bee" by kentarou, "meramera" and "wonderful days" by purutabu to kan (which is the band name of atobe, sanada, oshitari, kirihara, sengoku, shinji, and kamio), "perfect game" by kamio, "white line" by aoya (tezuka, fuuji, ryouma, and ooishi's band). and the endings "keep your style" by masatake fujishige and most of all "kaze no tabibito" by fureai.

eew, sakuno. i thought sakuno/ryouma was cute for a few episodes, but then she really started to get on my nerves. and then i abandoned a het pairing in favor of a shounen-ai one, ryouma/momo! yeah, i thought Hell was freezing over or something. i just think it's really cute how momo and ryouma interact, and i realized that sakuno and ryouma just don't =P her voice bugs me, and that one episode early on where he supposedly shuns her bentou by saying his "mada mada dane" line and she's crushed and runs off wailing in the wind (something along the lines of "ryouma-kun tte BAKA!! sniff")...bleh. i can see the possibility of a relationship though. the episode where after she gets her racket re-strung and he takes her to the courts was kind of cute.

you should follow the rival players! they're pretty interesting, i love rokkaku....do you not like atobe because of his match with tezuka? how far have you watched up to? i kind of like tezuka and atobe's relationship, it's nice and subtle

i didn't dL anything by kap to bin, just because it has inui and kaidoh and momo and eiji in it, none of whom can sing! i like purutabu to kan though, even if mr. leadsinger atobe gets a little off tune sometimes. the first time i heard tezuka sing, i couldn't tell it was him at all

cosplay creeps me out so i think watching tenipuri with live people would creep me out more XD even if most of them DO look a lot like their characters but if i ever find a friend with it, i'll watch it! do the people sound like the real characters?

Yeah, I can't stand Atobe Becuase of him Tezuka left! I still Download all the eps. The chibi eps are the best. But that last one where some of the guys were girls was quite disturbing.

Tezuka's voice actor is my all time favorite! I can listen to him all day!

And the musical??? Well they really look like them. Do they sound like them? No not really. Especally Tezuka! That guy can not sing! But I like it anyways. I do like the Ryoma actor. And Fuji is the You Got Game theme singer.

Then I take it you haven't seen Tenpui Live! That is with the actuall voice actors. there is this one part that they play the game. It is most interesting.

And Cap to Bin songs are ok. Even though most of them can not sing. They are "Fun" songs. But of course I prefer Aozu songs! Have I mentioned I love Tezuka???

I made a thread about this anime agesss. Ago, which showed my pessimism of the series. But after actually watching it, I have found it very enjoyable, despite the impossible shots (I mean it hits the court and rolls across it ), and broken wrists (maybe this does happen in reality, but I've yet to see a game with it ). Anyhow overall a very enjoyable series.

lol yea the impossible shots are funny but cool...i mean some of their special shots are actually real

like yomas AMZAING twist serve ... i can do that, and oishi's moon thing ITS JUST A LOB..... lol nd eiji's quick reactions those r real lol just hard to do...

But my favorite guy is Momoshiro.

ahh! i just started watching the american senbatsu training thing, starting at 136, and i've decided that saeki is the hottest PoT guy. i used to think that ohtori's gray hair was cool but saeki's is all silver and black, and when he rolls back his sleeves....ahh. and he's so nice! there's nothing to dislike about saeki

I haven't seen much of this... I started to watch because I heard of all the bishonen guys in it Yes, I'm shallow.
I do like sports in general and always have. I really can't say much about it since I've just seen a few episodes(well it's few when you consider the length of the series). What kind of catches my attention is how the 14&15-year-olds seem so mature and adult looking and the 13-year-olds really a lot younger... it would be okay if maybe one was a little short.. but all of them??? What kind of growing spurt happpens in between that one year?
I just keep on looking at Momoshiro and Ryoma and wonder if there actually is just a year age diference between them...
Yeah, I like the characters(what I've seen uptill now) too(besides Ryoma...sorry ) and my favourite is Momo-chan.

The guys in Seigaku is pretty much all very likeable. My fave would be Fuji, Tezuka, Ryouma, in no particular order. My fave pairings are Fuji/Tezuka, Fuji/Ryouma, Tezuka/Ryouma. Heh heh.

You really shouldn't fight over Tezuka, there's lots more fans and it would be hell to fight all of them for him. And Tezuka's reserved for Fuji anyway...or Ryouma. I didn't watch the anime but I read the manga till vol. 25

@Kihaku: Yep. Manga is ongoing. I'm not sure about that progress of the Jap version though. I'm waiting for it to be translated to Chinese which is always a volume slower at the very best of times.

Sakuno is plain irritating. I wouldn't mind knowing more of Ryouma's father. He's still good though he's such a lech now. Eiji/Oiishi is also one pairing I support. Golden Pair has such a nice ring to it.

About Sakuno... well she doesn't have a big part anyway, so I don't suppose it really matters if she's a little bit more on screen.

I read the first two eps and random eps from here and there. Especially ones involving Ryouma and Momo (yeah.. my favourite couple)
The first time a burst out laughing was the part of the tennis game going into an "alternate relaity"... most comments about Ryouma and Momo were funny too... and well...too much to mention.
Yeah.. I read ep 10 Yup that part was good too ...(pink bubbles are the symbol of hate ) but the part with Momo and Ryouma's father.. and the bikes...(which was hilarious in the anime on it's own) was the best part .

Prince of Tennis has a lot (and a lot) of incomprehensible miracles.
I also kind of liked (and found it hilarious) the part how a 13-year-old kid has a well trained body that rivals that of a grown man(and former tennis star). (Who do you think actually won that "contest"?)
I guess Momo started training when he was young He also eats a lot so I suppose he got a lot of protein to build his muscles . Still.. He's just a kid (I have to constantly remind myself).... Also it makes me wonder how well trained the other tennis players are

Well that I have had a look of how she is in the Anime , now I just think she's an annoying brat. Yeah... it's funny though.. I haven't really read much of the manga, but I think in the anime Sakuno's crush is more obvious there than in the manga... and that too gets more screen time. Also I think Ryouma is meaner to her(maybe not on purpose).. but I don't know.. Unfortunately in the anime it makes her seem even more pathetic (please get a life girl, don't waste it whining after Ryouma) and when they show her playing tennis... *sighs* . How much have you read of the manga? I've read very little, but I suppose Sakuno does seem a little more likable.. I guess the anime almost destroys the idea of Ryouma/Sakuno and forces to pair him with other characters, who he actually talks to and has a connection with (like Momo for example. *holds up banner*).
Also apparently Ryouma didn't think that his "date"with Sakuno was any of that sort, but playing tennis with Tezuka was "something like that". I guess she's pretty much air to him. It's kind of said, but Sakuno could leave the stalking to Tomoka. She´s much better and funnier at it.
