Aherm, anyways, it's hard not to like this anime, it's full of lots of things common in high school ('cept for cross-dressing. ). It has drama, romance, humor, what's not to love about it? Hikaru and Kaoru are mine!*shot*

What's the point in that? Ourans only recently finished, no need for a petition yet, if ever. The manga is on going and BONES can make up original content if pushed (although results may not be pretty, see FMA ending).
I'm pretty confident a second series will be made without people having to ask.

Yeah, I don't think there's a single role where Vic's voice could work in Ouran....except maybe as little extras with one or two lines. Actually I was just trying to think of who Travis Willingham (voice of Roy) could play if he were to be casted in the dub, and originally, I was somewhat leaning towards Kyouya because he's another dark hair and eyed 'cool' character, but then I was having a hard time imagaining it. Didn't even think of Tamaki (pretty much because he's such an eccentric guy) but you know, you're right. Especially during the scenes when Tamaki gets all overly dramatic and deep voiced. *easily imagining Roy's voice when he did the 'I LOVE DOGS' scene for those scenes* But if he could pull off Tamaki when he gets all "omgsquee<3" is another matter...

Omg, Sonny Strait (Hughes) as Haruhi's dad would rock so hard. XD I would lol every time.

Travis would fit Tamaki's role, since Tamaki is very much like Roy. Of course, I don't exactly see Travis squee-ing like he does and acting all overprotective of Haruhi, but I'm sure he'll pull it off. I'm not too sure about him doing Kyouya though. Kyouya is quieter than Roy.

I actually see Caitlin doing Renge. XDDDDD No other voice actress comes to mind. Perhaps Laura Bailey (Lust/Tohru Honda/Primera), but Caitlin would fit the role more.

As for Vic, I also can't think of a good role for him to take in an anime like Ouran. What about Kyouya? Then they would be best friends here...while in FMA they're rivals XDDDDD At least, that's how I see it... And what about our protagonist - dear, sweet Haruhi? I'm thinking Colleen Clinkenbeard...but then again, she's probably got a lot on her plate right now, what with One Piece, Tsubasa and xxxHolic...

For Hikaru and Kaoru, I thought of John Burgmeier (Dorochet, Shigure from Fruits Basket) for one of them. The only problem would be finding someone who sounds close to him or whoever will play one twin.

Season 2...depends on what BONES has in mind for whatever may come next in the Ouran anime. *shrugs* Who knows? There hasn't been any news anyway about them discontinuing the anime.

And maybe Honey-senpai should be played by a little girl. I'm sorry, but there really is no one that I can think of (besides the one that plays Alphonse, but I forgot his name) for this character, it's just that no one has a voice like his.

I'm pretty sure the twins are played by the same person in Japan. (usually identical twins in anime have the same voice actors - i.e. Amiboshi and Suboshi from Fushigi Yuugi. Fraternal twins or twins who just have very different appearances tend to have different ones - i.e. Kagami and Tsukasa from Lucky Star and Suiseiseki and Souseiseki from Rozen Maiden.) I'll check wiki tho in a bit to be sure. But I don't see it being a problem in the dub if they just get the same person to do both...whoever it is they choose.


For Haruhi...ya know I just don't know. For a while I thinking Laura Bailey, but I wonder if she'd find the right voice for such a role....


And Honey, if in Japan he has the same voice actor as Momiji from Fruits Basket....maybe the same English voice actor who did Momiji would work? XD


edit: Holy crap, the twins aren't voiced by the same person. O.o (Yoshinori Fujita as Kaoru, Kenichi Suzumura as Hikaru) Could've fooled me! I mean, I noticed some slight differences, but I thought that was just the voice actor changing his voice slightly for each boy. Such similar voices, holy crap. o_o;;
Either way for the English dub they can still use the same voice actor for both. >.>

I've heard the voice actor for Momiji in English...it could work...or Brina Palencia, who did Nina.

I think the twins deserve separate voice actors, so their different personalities can be properly defined. And it will be hard on one actor doing them both. Of course, if that one actor is particularly talented...

Eh...I dunno. With the twins. It would be so hard to find similar sounding voice actors. I don't even know how the Japanese did it.

We have another problem with the twins too. In Japan, voice actors all record with each other, so that way they can ad-lib or build off each other's energy. In America, they record in separate rooms. They're going to have whoever does the twins, if indeed they choose 2 people, to record in the same booth, because alot of times the twins speak in unison, and it's far too hard to get get the right unison out of voice actors that aren't even in the same room or recording at the same time.


Also hoping they pronounce all the names right. =/ If I hear any "Ha-ROO-hi"s or "Ki-oh-ya"s or even a "Hi-kar-oo" or "Mi-tsu-ku-ni" I may hurt something. >>

At Animethon Vic Mignogna revealed he wants to play Tamaki.

Something tells me he won't get the part, but you never know, he could come up with a voice that actually suits Tamaki. Or he might get casted as another character.

Yeah, Vic wanted the role of Tamaki. We really never know though - he's an experienced voice actor and he could probably pull off Tamaki's voice if he wanted to.

There was even a video on Youtube showing him cosplaying as Tamaki, with the Ouran uniform and a rose. XDDDDDD

Though I'd like to hear if other actors/actresses are eyeing certain spots in the cast too...

He doesn't have the right tone. Takami's voice is very light and "educated" while Vics voice are slightly heavy and common sounding. He's more suited to the son of the Yakuza.

I'm not sure which female voice actors work for Funi but I know they did Gunslinger girl, That show had some voice actors who could probably play upper class types if they put some energy into their roles. Henrietta's handler would make an okay Kyouya and Catlin Glass (Winry, Triela, Lo-pan) could ether play the bitchy girl from the first ep or possibly the chick with the POWERFUL MOTOR.

Vic can be Kasanoda! "Bossa-nova-kun"... XDDDDDD Plus, Kasanoda has a personality not too far from Ed's.

But Vic's Fai-voice is light...though Fai isn't as quick to show emotion as Tamaki is.

Some Funi voice actresses in Gunslinger Girl are Caitlin Glass (Winry, Souma, Triela), Laura Bailey (Lust, Tohru Honda, Xing Huo, Henrietta), Luci Christian (Wrath, Psiren, Chun'yang, Rico) Monica Rial (Lyra, Dante, Sakura, Angelica) and Alese Watson (additional voices in Furuba, Claes). Though I've heard Caitlin may be directing...then again, many people have juggled directing and voice-acting; she would make a great Renge.

TRIVIA: The girl from the first episode was played by Michiko Neya in the original Japanese - the same actress for Riza.

You never know with Vic honestly. I didn't know until Animethon how many different roles he's actually been in (LOL, HE WAS BROLLY, WHUT.) So it's bets not to jduge him just by his Ed voice. I doubt he'll get the role tho. Just gut feeling.


A girl as Kyouya? I can't see FunI doing that. While I can agree that she might work, FunI doesn't often cast females as male characters, especially older ones. The only one I know of them doing that was with Wrath.

Enter Hunni sounds good. They didn't call him "moe" which is a blessing but he uses "-chan" which sounds stupid...
And don't know how but they made Tamaki kind of unlikable. He seems smug instead of blissfully ignorant.

...I'm 5 minutes into the dub. No. Vic is annoying...and seems to be trying waaay to hard. It sounds like Ed trying to seduce someone. And Kyouya's voice seems to deep for me. Greg Ayres did good as Kaoru, but Hikaoru sounded too grown up. Greg should have done them both. Haruhi sounds...too girly still. Hunni is a sorta yes, Luci is great, and has a kidish voice, but I would have loved Momiji's dub for Hunni. And Mori- ...I have yet to hear him utter a word.

I watched the original Japanese series a little over a year ago, and really enjoyed it.
The other day I decided to look around for the dub out of curiosity... oh dear.

It's terrible... and I don't understand why the opening theme was changed into English too. It wouldn't hurt to keep the Japanese song like others have done, the English one sounds really amateurish to me.

oh wow, this is one of my very favourite anime I prefer japanese version but I hope I will get to download the english version as well because it doesn´t have subs and it´s nicer to make videos of eng dub versions or raws since I am currently working on fanvidding these are good news

It's a fantastic series though - one of the few shojo series I like. I love how it doesn't take itself too seriously, things like parts of the school being pink and purple make it all the more hilarious. Haruhi's great as well, but I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't realise she was a girl until it was revealed at the end of the first episode.

I didn´t realize she was a girl either she really did look like a cute boy
