After reading Toby-chan's "pity party" and watching a couple random FMA episodes really late at night, I felt true sadness (or maybe just sugar-induced) for random people/minor characters that horrible things happen to. This can be taken seriously or humoursly (Canadian spelling!), but who less-important people do you feel empathy with? Or who don't you?

A couple of mine:

Anyone who Kimbley just randomly latches onto and turns into a bomb.
The guy Dante killed when Hoho was dying in her flashback. (I want his backstory!)
Anyone subject to Hughes' pictures.
Anyone subject to Armstrong's muscles (aaawkward).

Those are mine for now. I randomly get others when I watch different episodes. Anyone else?

XD. How about that poor crazy masked guy in the beginning of the movie who just dies. What about HIM?

What about the pooooor chimeras Scar killed?~

Anybody who's eaten by Gluttony.


Oh, and that one shop-owner that Envy stabbed.

Oh I liked him. Felt bad for Mr. Uranium Bomb.

Anyhow I felt bad for the random Ishbalans that got killed the night Martel and co. attacked. Also the little kid who got his mommy sliced up by Barry.

.___. So many poor pitiable innocents.

Howbout all the people in the Philosopher's stone. Gotta suck for them.


[spoiler]Or the Envy tumor-people on his true form in the manga. Yeesh. What a non-existence.
And don't forget all those poor Nazis in the Beer Hall Putcsh.

ahh i felt really sad for lewjon. that episode left me with an empty feeling inside... *sobsob*

and i also feel sorry for rick and leo's mom, and winry's parents.

Now here's someone you just have to feel a little bad about. The Fuhrer's son in the anime. Selim, I believe that's his name. He just wanted to help out his dad but that'd didn't go so well. Poor kid...

Martel, I felt sorry for her, dunno why

Any of the chimeras who didn't make it through the transmutation process (that can't be a plesant way to go) and any of them who had to sit in the same cell as Bido for 14 years. (Sorry anyone who likes Bido, but the guy's still a mental case even if he's a cool one.)

I feel sorry for the trees that Russel and Fletcher used. They exploded into millions of tiny, blue, red water-soaked pieces.
And for the people that have to inhale that stuff.

But they apologized so that makes it all better. (Those tree-huggin dirt worshipper alchemists...)

I feel sorry for Karin (was that her name?) That evil bastart of a Majhal didn't even believe her!
"Karin is young and beautiful" I would have sooo slapped him!

Jean havoc i cant say why because i dont know how to do the little spoiler thingies but that guy has gotta rough and thats why i love him

i kinda feel bad for the fuhrer's son

I feel sorry for the random maid that Gluttony was holding hostage to get Marcoh to reviel what he told Ed and Al in his note. There's no way she could have gotten out of that, and having your skull crushed by Gluttony's chompers is a messy way to go.

Speaking of people who Gluttony ate, I feel bad for the priest in Lior who stumbled across Envy, Lust and Gluttony at the wrong time and was thus eaten.

I just think that would be a really, how should I say this, sucky way to go.

Also I felt bad for Lydia, Lujons wife/fiancee. First she starts to turn into a hunk of stone, then Lust steals her man, then Lust kills her man and finally she completely turns into a hunk of stone.

Ohhhh I hate that panda!!!

I feel sad for Lujon, Lydia, Karin, Ishaballans, people stuck to Envy, Selim, Kimbley's human bombs, the people Gluttony ate. There are more just too many to list. Poor, poor peeps.

Hmm..ok..I felt sorry for Selim at the end of the show.......Evil Bradley!! Who does that!?..(well..obviously he does)

I feel sorry for Manga!Havoc........poor guy can't walk anymore..T_T. And anime!Havoc....poor guy can't get a girlfriend..

I also felt sorry for those trees...poor things, used to clean-up a mess made by the alchemists. hehehehe....

I feel really sorry for [this is really random] Scar's brother. Because he died for Scar, and Scar still doesnt care about him.... That was my most random crush ever for five minutes....

But Scar is still cool.

First, Selim! He is on my like list from the start and Pride's gonna pay if I ever catch that one-eyed son-killer!
That a bird Lust killed, not much but think about animals!
Hughes! I miss him so much!!!!!!!!!

I know this is a stupid one, but all the people who believed and relied on Cornello and then when Envy replaced him and the military came, they all.....went poof (more like splat).....and I felt bad for them...

all the English dudes that die in the atac of London, and Alter-Ed, he didnt had anything to do with anything but he got crushed by a zeppelin (still, its a pretty cool way to go)
and lets not forget about jockey! and and all the people that die of that bizarre disease in the anime chapter of lusts medic
oh! and the rabbit that ed and al eat while in that island! poor thing

Lyra. She may have been powerhungry and things, but she didn't deserve to have her soul stolen. That was nasssty. She's also not a particularly important character, just her body.

[spoiler]How about manga Maria Ross? First she is accused of a crime she didn't commit, then she has to fake her own death and flee the country. She cant even let Denny or her parents know she's alive.

And dont forget both anime and manga Denny Bloch. In the anime, the poor guy was heartbroken when Maria flirted with Hohenheim. In the manga, Armstrong mentions that Denny is very depressed over Maria's "death." [/spoiler]

And then there's Gracia and Elysia Hughes. Their scene at Maes Hughes' funeral was heartbreaking.

There's also poor Nina. She was Shou Tucker's biggest supporter but he turned her into a chimera so he could remain a State Alchemist. Ever after all he had done to her, she still tried to protect him when Ed was beating him up.

Yes, that part was very sad... poor Nina...

I'm not sure that maria qualifies as 'less important'... hughes' family defnitely doesn't. Brosh, though, is a great example of an unimportant character whose woes get little page time.

Nina is most definitely a 'pity party' and not a '(less imprtant!) pity party' character...

The girl that Lust almost kills in front of Marcoh was pretty upset. Evil women with nasssty fingernails threatening her when she was just bringing flowers to her doctor isn't a great experience for any young child...

I added them to this list because they really aren't major characters (as much as I hate to admit that about Maria and Denny)

I feel bad for Nina and Elysia (poor little girlies).
I also feel bad for the animals that were used to make chimeras and the bird Lust killed.
oh yeah, and that whole town that got petrified or rock-ified or whatever.

I feel bad for the random security guard who gets half his head chopped off by Barry in the early Manga.

And like some other people said, [spoiler]the people stuck to Envy[/spoiler]. ewwww

...I know that Havoc isnt really an obscure character but I really like him, especially in the manga [spoiler]I felt so bad when I found out that he couldn't walk anymore! [/spoiler]

And all the other random people that just die. You dont know who they are, they just...die.

I have to agree with many of these but I've to bring this one couple forward. You all remember a couple from beginning of chapter 17? You do? Good. But what makes me pity them is because Riza steals their car (though she says she uses it because she's in the military...) and later it gets eaten by Gluttony. (Or should I feel sorry for the car...?)

Barry's real body (manga). That's something you don't want to go through

The legless grandpa from episode 16 and his grandkids. I feel for them!

I feel sorry for those soldiers who[spoiler] almost got destroyed and got destroyed by Pride in chapter 60-someting.[/spoiler]
