Personally, this is probably one of the best things to hit television, especially directed at younger children. As much as it's fun, children actually learn from it, which is pretty hard to find in a TV show lately, unless it's on The Discovery Channel, or something.

Oh yes!! Another reason why this is great; n00bs like me who have spanish roots but over time have forgotten simple words and phrases in the language learn from Dora. Also it can be used to learn different Languages! I think they have this French Dora in which you learn English.

I have a kid who just adores Dora. I've taken him to see some of the live shows too. Although, I like Dora, but I'm liking Diego more, and it's not really all that educational. Well except for the learning spanish part, and he usually forgets what he learned right after the show. Disney's Little Einsteins is way better, as far as education is concerned. Dora and Diego are a lot more fun to watch. " Backpack, Backpack". I love that song!

Who cares how eduacational it is, it makes me feel smart.

umm...Dora...the songs are really sticky...although I don´t watch it...too early and I go to school...XD
But I must say that in here, kids learn english instead of spanish(duh...it´s the first language in here...XD), I wish I could see it in english someday might be fun!!!

I think this show is so annoying.My sister used to watch it all the time.She had DVDs of it,and would watch it all the time.

I do think it could help children learn, safety(like wearing seat belts) and other important things like that.
It is important for kids to watch cartoons that educate them.

The only reason I hate this show so much is because I would have to watch it all the time when I baby-sat.

I didn't really like this show but my older brother tries to annoy me by forcing me to watch this,looks like its crappy but it sure is a safe way to educate younger children properly,why me? I'm still fine,the kinds of songs I listen to aren't really that of a christian,why?
