Aren't you getting slightly off topic? mellow.gif
Tombow
^^ I agree. happy.gif
I like getting back to discussing the content of episode 47. smile.gif

(And, I'm semi-forcefully bringing Molecular Alchemist out of role playing thingy with me... Unless she/he breaks loose and goes back in...biggrin.gif )

*totally isn't off-topic*

This has gone too far now.

You hurt a tree! How dare you! Now I say Archer dies a gruesome death. And if any of you Archer-protectors try to stop me, just remember that I have the power to ban. smile.gif *gives a Seta Soujiro smile*

I'm kidding of course.
Seta Soujirou~! ♥

Err...sorry. laugh.gif *scratches head*
Guess I got a bit carried away....hehehe

<ahem> Yeah, uhh....episode 47....OH! Isn't Sloth the only humumculi that thinks that by killing the source of her memories she will get her own life. I mean, isn't that why she wanted to kill Ed and AL? And if Ed could transmut his arm into a gun....why didn't do it soo many times before, like when dealing with chimeras....it would have been soo much easier to take down a pack of chimeras with a machine0gun arm like in this episode, than with the blade-arm that he usually has. Just an afterthought....

O_O....Yes...Ed turned his arm into a gun..I totally forgot, yet I love it!!! It was awesome! And I agree...Why didn't he do that before!?! He would have totally kicked butt with it.

@Ed-Al-Win Fan - About Winry, like others had posted,
Are you sure that was really Winry?? smile.gif
Ah I see...Now that I think it over that does make you wonder about that...lol tongue.gif

I think they allowed Ed to turn his arm into a gun to demonstrate how much further he's come along in his alchemy. When they had some of the battles before against Col. Mustang he always seemed to come up short. I always thought that for some alchemist prodigy, he always seemed to get beat on by everyone, either due to lack of experience or power. I think this is the way they are showing that he's not the Ed we have come to know and he's something more now. Winding down, so I guess we'll see smile.gif

Another episode in which Al was dumb as hell. The other one was episode 24, Bonding Memories, when Al stupidly ran away and say stupid stuff like "I don't care what happened to him anymore". Idiot, Ed cares so much for him and he has to go and do that to Ed. Poor Ed in that episode, by the way.

OK, and this one, he was dumb because Ed was just trying to take care of his past sins and burden for BOTH of them when Al had to stupidly jump in and took the bone from Sloth and threw it out the window, interrupting the process. His brother was already hurting enough when he had to do this, he didn't have to add on to the pain by delaying it.

lack of bullets, perhaps?

When Edward transmuted a new hand, he did so out of a gun cartriage, bullets and all. If he'd have made a gun before, where would the bullets have come from.

And I agree with everyone who said Al was stupid in this episode.

Ah, I apologize for going off-topic. ^^; We'll save the fun and games...erm, battle for later. Of course the true battle will be at the Episode 51 after party...

Anyways, on Al. I agree he was quite annoying in the beginning of the episode but I don't really blame him much. He's still young and loved his mother very much. Even though Sloth was just a homunculus I don't believe Al could really help but feel as if that was really Trisha.

Oh and a question. I'll have to rewatch the episode but did Ed lose his automail arm after transmuting Sloth into ethanol? Or is my mind and eyes just playing tricks on me...

Umm, I don't think so...he didn't have his automail arm in the beginning of the episode, and that's why he made the arm with the gun....of course, that's if my memory's serving me... But I'm pretty sure that both of Ed's hands were still here...he clapped them together to make her turn into EtOH.

@Nepharski: Good point about the bullet supply....I just assumed that Ed could transmute bullets, but I guess he would come out owing too much in the end. smile.gif

But if Ed can shape his hand into a gun now..... he should just run around with some ammo and start blowing things up! He'd be like...the terminator--well, at least until he runs out of bullets. Then he'd just be Ed-out-of-ammo....

Yeah, I'm on the same boat. I got frustrated by Al while I was watching the episode, but later I kind of understood about Al's feeling for her. smile.gif

BTW, this is OT to pslcks/Plscks:
I noticed your sig saying the following...

Please note that the name appearing is a typo, it should in actuallity appear as Plscks not pslcks, you may not see a big difference, untill you stop accepting it as just letters and actually try to read it for example, Plscks(Pul-scks) pslcks(piss-licks), damn typo. So to recap, as stated please note the note untill I figure out how to change it.

You can try posting on changing ID name thread, and see if they can change it for you. smile.gif

Al? stupid? O_o Okaayyyy, let's not forget his soul is stuck in an armour which means he can't even feel. He's more to pity than to find 'annoying'. I thought the hospital episode was great and was glad he said that to his brother. I know that, yes, he was wrong, but I thought he was just too left out and that Ed had the role of the 'better brother'. They made Al the innocent, following little brother and I couldn't stand that so what he did was a way to affirm and express himself to me. He was confused after the all Barry accident and, to me, Ed was the stupid one. Yes, go tell your brother that

'You're lucky you got so big without drinking milk'

when he is obviously in a crappy mood. Oh well, Ed is not good in everything, certainly not with his mouth (God that sounds wrong O_o).

And in this episode, he was confused and, like someone already said, he loved his mother so yeah, think about it : normal reaction but I bet people are still gonna call him 'whiny' like Wrath.

He lost part of his arm when he made her explode (transmuted it into sodium), and then before transmuting her into ethanol reformed his arm from the ground.
