I would have to say for me its FLCL, Zatch Bell, and Dragon ball GT. I used to really love Naruto, three years ago when it was strictly in manga, and everyone I knew said they didn't like it now all of my friends love it:D Haha I guess thats the way it always goes though:P

Meh... The worst animes for me are Dragon Ball and Please Teacher. T_T I was able to tolerate DB until when I was 5 or 6 but now... T_T For some strange reason, I just dislike Please Teacher.

I had a deal with a guy that he SHOULD watch Fullmetal Alchemist because, you know. But he won't watch it unless I watch this anime that he recommend me (as Equivalent Exchange); 2x2 = Shinobuden. He claim that this is a very funny anime, and it does had high rating in anime info and ANN.

I always hated that the charcters were essentially the same--same ludicrously ripped physique, same face, and the single differentiating characteristic--the hair.
Just never could get past that. Even with the impressive roster of talented voice actors over the years.

Yeah. I was fairly old when it started, I think I was about 20. And I'm a woman, and I just don't think it's the sort of premise that really appeals to chicks--I've never met another girl who likes it. But there's a first time for everything, I guess.

Hmmmm, I'll admit it. Godanner is really bad. I hate giant robot anime's because all the plots seem to be the same. The only one's I could ever stand were Neon Genesis Evangelion, Eureka 7 and Gravion Zwei. There maybe more but mosyt of'em aren't that good.

But we're off topic now. I'd say that Yu-Gi-Oh was one of the worst. Along with Giant robots, the 'card game' anime's were kinda boring. Though, Yu-Gi-Oh had it's comedic moments and such.

Worst anime ever - alright, I don't think that can be too hard. Ai Yori Aoshi. Easily. The summary sounds fantastic, and the idea is as original as its possible to be ("there is no such thing as an original work of literature - there's only one story." - Thomas C. Foster), but once I watched it... *shudder* I wanted to scream...

The worst anime is probably something so bad we've never heard of it.

mei's better judgment is telling her that she should let this Washu-Popo vendetta go, but it's unfair to place all the blame on Popo. From what mei has observed, he did not "start it"--rather, this has been an ongoing struggle (lasting for some time) to get Washu to behave in a rational manner...rather than declaring her undying, 12-or-13-year-old love for a fictional character who is twice her age in a way that aggravates those of us who are concerned for her mental and emotional health. Maybe we're being nosy; perhaps we should just butt out of her deluded fantasies. While it's her "choice" (as someone had put it earlier) to act like a nonsensical child who is constantly experiencing a "sugar high," it's also Popo's choice to point that out. Granted, he and Abstruse Eulogy (as Washu had claimed earlier) have used harsh words when conveying their confusion as to why Washu would want to act like a nonsensical child on sugar high. However, rather than placing the blame on those two alone, Washu (and those who encourage her to constantly act in such a manner) should step back and actually read her posts and ask: Does this look like a sane person wrote it?

On n00bishness: A n00b may have all the trappings of someone with good grammar and spelling, but it shows when they have the spirit of a n00b. mei thinks that is what's happening in Washu's case.

mei started watching Excel Saga some time last year, and couldn't get past the first episode. That generally means that she doesn't find it appealing in any way, and she doesn't see any point in giving it a chance to redeem itself. If anyone disagrees and gives mei a good reason for picking it up again, say so and she'll consider watching a few more episodes.

I only act childish because Washu (If you've ever seen Tenchi Muyo!, is childish when in her 12 year old personna.) We are very similer (including our birthdays are the same date) and I admire her. She is an excellent character for younger people, such as myself to admire, especially those who have been wronged many a time, such as yours truly. As for Kakashi, I am very fickle. Before Kakashi I loved Roy(I was 11). And before Roy, it was InuYasha (I was 10). Though, in Kakashi's case I can admire him more because unlike Roy, he does not have, as my friend and I put it, 'loose morals'. And now that I look at him, InuYasha's a hobo. (No offense to Inu-fangirls/boys.) I also act so peppy because I try to be optimistic, but trust me. I am not blindly optimistic. Meet me offline, I am very non-chalant. Tombow says to try and stay polite even when others aren't to me. I'm trying to be the nicest I can,(especially to new people, which is why I do my best not to over-react and snap back at people. (Which often happens when I defend myself, such as a situation that happened today at school.) When people insult things that others like, it may make them feel like the person themself is being insulted. Such as my case. We should have a thread for this kinda stuff. Is there any way to stop being a n00b? I do not think it is such a title to be proud of.

Hm, while I agree with you, Nugget, on some accounts, I don't all the way, and here's why: Pokemon was marketed for a younger age bracket - the "tweens" - and you know what? They hit it right on the nose. So while some of us more "sophisticated" anime watchers don't like it, there are plenty of young kids who *do* like it, b/c the story, art, etc. is more suited towards their own tastes. Maybe not for everyone - nothing is ever perfect - but for the majority, I mean.

I'm still holding out on that acidic lake filled with radioactive salmon, though.

That's because the un-edited television version is aimed at little girls who are like, 7 and under. Something like that. In my opinion, it's okay. If they made a newer version of it, with like, better graphics and stuff like that it might be better. But when anime's are 're-mastered' like that that, the editors always make the same mistake. They change the origanal voice actors/actresses. They did it with Pokemon, they did it with Tenchi, it's the same mistake everytime. And when that happens to old shows that were made in the 1990's and such, it's really a pity. Because if you're like me, watching 'Pokemon' and 'Tenchi Muyo!' as soon as you get home from school when you're 8 years old, it feels like they're real people that you grow up with and then they change them. It's sad.

I've come to realize that usually I hate any anime that has to do with outer space, space ships, ect. The only one I liked was my first anime rated over 5+. Tenchi Muyo!. All of the Tenchi series were awsome except GXP. I used to watch it all the time when I was in 2nd grade. I also hate DBZ GT. I liked it when Puahr(the little blue and white cat that was always with Yamcha) was in it. She was sooooo cute! I liked Dragon Ball.

Ayashi no Ceres was CRAP. i stopped watching InuYasha cause it got stupid after we stopped seeing Sesshoumaru.

Maburaho was GAY. Samurai Deeper Kyo was also CRAP, cause kyo had the same freaking voice as the pharoah from YuGiOh(yes i'm a dork)!! And it was basically Samurai Champloo all over again.

Eureka Seven just didn't catch me at all, i don't want to watch another mech anime.

And then theres, YUGIOH GX, the biggest peice of CRAP know to men AND women, i hate that show with a passion.

When they stopped showing episdoes of Pokemon with Misty(my fave character) and brought in May and her stupid broter, I immediatly stopped watching pokemon.

Vandread was the gayest anime yet, more MECHS! And stupid chicks that i didn't like.

InuYasha used to be okay.

^I didn't like their voices at first either but they're not so bad once you got used to them. They're actually pretty close to the original IMO.

One Piece- Because they are ALWAYS yelling. And it's extremely long, so it makes it difficult for a new watcher to catch on and catch up to events. And the voice actors scare me...

Pokemon - I LOVED Pokemon. That is, until they decided to add to the original 150 Pokemon Species list. Now I have no clue who is who's evolved form. And Misty left, they added two completely amusing yet stupid characters in her place, kept the man-whore Brock, and Ash hit puberty.

Inuyasha - The same as One Piece; too long. And the ending wasn't exactly satisfying. Plus, the characters (especially Kagome and Shippo) are soooo annoying.

Yu-Gi-Oh! - There were FIVE episodes I could stand to watch. Other than that, NO. I refused to watch it. The battles usually lasted for at least three episodes, and it took forever for anything to happen. (And their eyes; they look TOO big... XD)

DBZ - It was okay, but I never really paid much attention to it. It was more of one of those anime series that came on after school and I ended up watching it while playing in the floor or something when I was younger.

Cowboy Bebop - I just don't like it

There's a whole list, but these are the ones that bothered me most.

I could never like DBZ. It was just too annoying. But I do love Dragon Ball. Goku's so much cooler when he was drawn in the short, fat little way . Pwahr is still my favorite though. She's so cute.

I like the storyline, yet its rather confusing because each episode is something different and its based on each character that's in the story and its told in different ways.... I was watching it and was like uh..... wtf....

If you want the box set by all means do what I did and spend 40 bucks at Best Buy.... but I DON'T reccomend it unless you like the feeling of utter confusion.
