Welcome to our board, and welcome to the fanart forum!!
In case you will not go back to
Ed-Al-Win Fan's art thread and read my reply to the question you posted there, I'll repost the answer to your question here...
...The picture on the side is called
avatar, and picture on the bottom is called
signature.
For
avatar, you need to have the pic on your computer, or on the photo image hosting account, like the free account you can get on
PhotobucketYour avatar must be no bigger than 120 pixels by 120 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 100 KB. With file type of either gif, jpeg, jpg, swf, or png.
For
signature, you need to have the pic on your image hosting account.
Max size is 500 pix wide, and 300 pix high.
Once you have your pic(s) ready, click on
My Controls on top right side of this page, then
Click on
Edit Avatar Settings for avatar, or
Edit Signature for siggie, both under
Personal Profile on the left side of the page.
Then, edit in the address of your pic, or browse and pick the pic file from your computer.
(Once you get this far and have further questions,
post it and ask on Welcome thread, and I can answer it on that thread, so that we don't spam this thread with unrelated topic further.

BTW, you can find info on
how to post avatar/siggie, and other many useful info on posting on our board in this
awsome posting guide to all new members (especially new members) .

(It's also a MUST READ for all new members.

)
Oh, and to post your reply WITHOUT other people's post that is unrelated to your post showing up as quote on your post, click on "
ADDREPLY" at the
bottom of page, instead of
REPLY buttons on the right side of this page.
Yeah, and after I spend so much time writing this post, I hope you will actually read it!!
