I made it during the week of finals (I was bored, so I sketched...) I colorized it and redid it on my computer, but I wasn't satisfied with the flat look, so it got completely redone... thus came about the finished product - my new avatar!

Arrgghhh!!! I just wrote a very long compliment to all the drawings here and my comp went jammed and.. and.. I had to wrote it all over again!! NGAAAHH!! X(

I was going to go through and comment on everyone's artwork, but in summary, I think everyone's artwork that I've seen is way better than mine and I'm so jealous ;_;

But I will link another one I guess... It's one I called my one-hour drawing, because I was trying to see how well I could draw in one hour or less. (And it's still crappy)

P.S. Toby, that's really good but creepy in a cool way.

Cool, Celes. I can't seem to work any blending or gradient effects like that. Technology hates me.
The structure is still a little flat and off-balance in your picture.

The most I can seem to do is slap on a few coats of airbrush and hope it comes out looking kind of cool in a haphazard impressionist way. My latest thing is this doodle of Heiderich and Noa, lazily and incompletely airbrushed. I now notice that her prominent eye looks flat and as if it's at an odd angle on her face.

@Toby-Chan - You "corps" drawing before had very eeriely sterile and cold feel to it, but the painting made that one really comes alive!!
What a big difference!! I'm curious to see how/what you'll do next with that one!!
And, I like your Noa better than the movie Noa!!
Your Noa has lot more characters, IMO.
She looks and feels very Gypsy, very human, and beautiful!!

You always have such nice words to say, I don't know how you do it. But thankies very much, it means a lot since I dislike my own drawing style but I do always try to put as much life into the eyes as possible generally.

Since I have been encouraged, here was my second-to-last one that I drew a few weeks ago. Definitely my cleanest.

Alchey, that's not bad at all. Way etter than my first and last attempt at Ed a year ago.

I think you did really nice job with your Ed!!
The face is nicely balanced, with really nice job on his eyes, and nice job on hairs, including that cute antenna, and nice details on the zipper, too!!
I like it very much!!

@Celes-san - That's so beautiful!! Very nice, clean and sharp drawing, with sleek hair & the bodylines, and excellent coloring job with the touch of shadowing & highlighting that are very effectively applied, IMO, and I love the simple body pose with coquettishly leaned head with those expressive, confident eyes!! And, I love the whole color scheme, with the beautiful skin tone of the lady, color of her beautiful eyes and matching lip color, and complementary dress & choker, and the gorgeous wine-color background that seems to compliment her very much!!
And, I like your sleek lettering, and IMO the whole combination makes that a very stylish, and artistic drawing!! I love it!! (Whew, that was mouthfull!! )

Anyways I love your drawing (is it okay to call it that?) I like the nice clean rendering. And I love how you did the skin-highlighting. It looks really natural. I like your use of colors too! It really gives the drawing a warm feel. But what I love the most are the eyes. They seem to sparkle and look almost alive! Great work.

Oh i liked your one hour drawing too! It's so cool you can do that in one hour. All that I can do in that time is a stick-figure

Woot! I finished the pic of my mum and me! (both younger haha)

My hair was once indeed naturally blonde. Unfortunately, my mum dyed it black one year for halloween and it never quite returned. Tomorrow is my Baccalaureate and I am printing this picture on photo paper, signing and framing it, and then giving it to my mum. She has no idea. Shhh!!!!!

Wow! Lone Wolf, that is an excellent picture. I really like the fire! However, the ground and the person seem a little flat compared to all their surroundings. If you add some deeper shades it should help with that problem. Other than that, good work.
