I like the idea of a schizo GreedLing. o_o Even if it's pretty unlikely, since Ling willingly gave Greed total control over his body.

Maybe Greed would do something that Ling violently objects to, deal or no deal. Then Ling would try to grapple control away from Greed to prevent him from doing whatever it is, even to the point of *gasp* suicide. The drama...

One thing too....Father said to bring Ed and Al to Wrath's place. Is Roy still there?? So, if they bring them to see Wrath, they may run into Roy, though that's unlikely, but you never know .

I do want to find out where Hohenheim is going.....(sigh)....if only the day would come...too long to wait!

I'f Ling's soul is still in the balance, then that mean's Bradley's former self is in a similar situation, albeit it's been stiffled for years. Schizophrenic Gring could be an interesting turn of events.

Envy's out of Gluttony's stomach now (Gluttony is toast, in my opinon). When's it going to change back, eh?

And when is Hohenheim going off to?

Scar too Mei Chang and Xiao Mei and jumped into the water after creating the dust bomb (I think). I think eventually Ling will get control over Greeds body.

It could indeed. But Ling voluntarily gave his body to Greed, while Wrath grabbed control forcibly from Bradley. This might've permanently damaged/crippled the original soul beyond redemption, who knows?

Gluttony is not just toast, he's dead meat. He's dead meat on toast. I just wonder how his death is going to tie up with the whole "swallowing snakes" thing from Dante's Inferno, if I remember correctly. Perhaps a lizard falls from the ceiling and whacks him on the head, hence giving him a fatal concussion. Or not.

I like that thought. lol maybe the series will end with King Bradley back to King Bradley and not Wrath. lol I'm jumping light years a head.

Roy and Riza had better be in this chapter or I may go mad... XD I don't think that all three of them can be stuck with Bradley; at least one of them will have to escape to keep the story going.

I wouldn't say USELESS against Gluttony. It was his flames that got eaten, allowing Ed and Ling to survive inside with the torches.

Edit: Oh, but didn't Gluttony already eat Envy? I mean, he just basically puked out Envy, Edward, and Ling. While not the cause of his death (if he really is, indeed, dead this time), they probably contributed.

I have a feeling Ran Fan will come back into the spotlight soon, but not in the way people want. Remember, she has no idea what's been going on since Gluttony went mad, and thus no idea of where anyone is. I imagine she'll try looking of Ling, but run into other troubles of some sort.

And every chapter that clicks by is another chapter closer to seeing the face of the deadliest of sins.

Another question: is why Scar and Mei use alchemy ?

yeah...that is a good question....my guess is that the alchemy they use is somehow different from that used by Ed and Al, and thus not affected by Father's anti-alchemy. However, that begs the question of how is Mei and Scar's alchemy different?

I think that Greed/Ling will die and give Ed and Al his Stone...I don't want it to happen, but I think it might.


If he doesn't do that, he'll probably join ed and Al.

I just feel bad for Ed, it seems that whatever his dad is and whatever powers he has are not genetically shared or Ed would have his limbs back already (unless they only activate when he gains a certain height! ).

I hope I'm wrong tho', and Arakawa sensei manages to find some other more coherent and surprising way to kill off Gluttony within the punishment method.

They use Rentanjutsu (art of making potions/elixirs), which is different in some point from renkinjutsu (art of transforming metals, alchemy). Apparently Father brought Renkinjutsu to Amestris, but someone else from Xerxes (Hoho? Saaa...) brought Rentanjutsu to Xing, which, apprently, Father doesn't know of/can't control.

There's a post in the chapter 55 thread where someone explained it very well.

No, really, fanboyisms apart, keeping in mind how the topic of "racism" has been appearing between hommunculi and humans, I hope that Lingreed will join Ed and Al, somehow proving that both species can live together and don't need to fight to death.

And aboutthe racism issue... It's been since the beginning, with Envy and Lust saying humans were lower/sad creatures... "oroka" I think was the word.
And Roy and Ling have called them "monsters" many times. And that dialog between Envy and Ling, priceless:
Envy: "I'll never be defeated by such a low thing as you, human"
Ling: "Don't underestimate us, hommunculus"

(or sth like that, I don't have the chapter at hand U)

And Roy and Wrath's conversations as of late... I hope this topic comes out more and ends up showing that both of them can live on without needing to hate/fear the other.

4 days until Chapter 56!!

I really hope we at least get to see Roy in this chapter. I also really want to see How Havoc is going @_@ I refuse to believe he's become totally useless to Roy's cause.

I think this chapter might be a lot more talk; the last chapter was mainly action plus also I have no doubt that Bradley will want to mess with their minds. XD I also think at least one of the characters will have to escape eventually, to keep the story going. Unless Arakawa decides to focus on the Homunculi or Roy's subordinates for a few chapters, which I doubt...

Well, let's take some things into account. We know that the Homunculi's plans are in their final stages (Chapter 13), and that the North is going to be the next place to strike. Now, in every other situation where they've caused mayhem, one of the Homunculi has been present somewhere to oversee the Chaos. So, Lust is dead, and Greed, Envy, Gluttony, and Wrath are all in Central, thus leaving only two fellows left...

I want to know where Hohenheim was going. This "X" is of interest to me.

Actually, I don't doubt that. I can see it happening... well, probably not for a few chapters, but only 1 ~ 2 chapters (arakawa is good at cliffhanging us.)
