I've got glasses too... Have been Wearing them for 6 years by now! It's all because of reading.

Erm... Ppl actually say I look better with glasses, but wearing them is reall tiring. The problem is that I can't see anything without them. Mom joked that soon I'll have to wear binoculars instead, but hopefully I've got super-thin glass in my glasses. Despite it all, I just want to see (at leats sometimes) the world, which is not bordered by glasses

I'd rather get smaller glasses to look intelligent. I used to have bigger lenses, but got progressively smaller ones as my prescription changed. People say I look smarter now, but it might also be because of my age.

But, do you know smaller glasses makes my big gogo eyes go smaller. Now that I don't like! I prefer with my original eyes. Still people can't be greedy.

Sure you look smart...but are you? Dang, there are soooo many people i'm stuck with in this prision of a high-school that is worse, even than that. Up to the point where they endure pain to look hmm dare i say, 'cool'. but how the hell can you look 'cool' when you're wincing in pain?

Contacts for me. I have the soft ones yet I'm not allowed to sleep in them. I used to have glasses, then I kinda lost them. o_o;

Contacts aren't that bad. Like Thievesvinegar said, just 4 seconds to put them in and 2 to take em out. Plus you really forget they're there.

Well, you could say that I'm kindda smart too but still I prefer to glasses in a medium size. It's better to be called a grandma than to have your eyes look smaller.

I practically have 20/20 vision (good band by the way ) which is surprising considering my heritage.

My friend doesn't want glasses and is practically blind in lessons, so I ahve to tell him what's being written on the board and projector (when he's actually bothered to take notes), I would definetly have glasses rather than sufer like that lol.

though, i kind of wished to have glasses....fake glasses that don't hurt your eyes or not even damage the pupil just a bit. though...having sunglasses just isn't the same...maybe i should get those glasses thats a sunglass when its to bright and regular glass when its not so bright..those converting ones..that would be awesome.

I only wear them at school though when I can't see. Otherwise I can cope without. Some don't even know/forget I have them... although there are times when I don't recognise people....but most know that my eyesight is horrible anyway.
I just hate the way I look with glasses, makes me look like a teacher.. by brother is the only one in the family who isn't near sighted and of course glasses suit him*growls*.

*nods* Glasses are very "intellectual look"-ing. But I think I'd enjoy them more if I could actually see with mine. Of course, the fault's with my eyes, not the glasses, so I can't complain.

I've never had glasses and I don't need them I'm glad because I'd probably forget to take them off when I go to sleep.

that happens to me a few times every week.....around 2 or 3 i'll conk out on my books, fully dressed and with glasses on, or when i get tempted to just, you know, "sit/lie on the bed for a few moments," i'll doze off and when i wake up 2 or so hours later, i'll know what happen

how do u wear a contact lense anyways? plug it in to ur eyes?

Well, you open your eye very wide with your fingers, and you just put the contact lense on your eye.

just be grateful that the hard contacts arent around anymore.....

i have hard contacts....but considering the irritation and pain and how i look without glasses (raccoon eyes), i haven't touched them in almost exactly a year. the last time i put them on was when i got my highlights redone last december. they're probably sitting in a crusty pool of saline, plotting revenge on my eyes when i attempt to put them on in another week or so. pain aside, they seem to be easier to get out than soft ones; you just pull the corner of your eye and blink them out....

I dont hate mine yet, I got them in about May this year.

Yeah lol, my freind next door had them, i got stuck at the bottum of his eye it was so funny, but my soft ones got stuck under my eye before BIG pain when it happens

Well i usually wear glasses now but i went through a time when i wore contacts all the time as well. so now i guess i do a little of both. it really depends on what i am doing, b/c sometimes glasses can be a bother, like when i went to play paintball and the kept fogging up in the mask >.<

once i fell asleep in my contacts and woke up almost late to class. when i hurry i usually just throw on my glasses and go. took me a while to realize why i couldn't see very good with my glasses on ....

i went out and got lasik done. but back in day i used contacts exclusively until i went to college and found out that osha regulation prohibit contact in labs. that and as a smoker you are more likely to develop sabatius (sp?) cysts... oily deposits inside my eyelids no thanks....

Glasses... They're ok, but I've had them since I was 3, so they're rather annoying.
I don't them because they tend to be broken in Gym class. Actually, today they were bent from a volley ball hitting me in the face. I've never fallen alseep with them on, as far as I can remember, but who says I won't. Heh

so do i....not only do they distract from the big bags under my eyes, i've been wearing glasses since 1st grade and my face feels really naked without them. the downside would be not being able to wear my sunglasses (i have to put on contacts first).

I can't wear contacts. The first time I put them in I had to go to the doctor to get them out and they told me I couldn't wear them because of how my eyes were shaped.

nope, i have to take them off and give them to sensei. but my eyesight is terrible so i have to find the blob i'm fighting and try to block the blurry punches and kicks.
