I've been craving some fanarts of younger Edo/Aru. Could you please do me the favor? That would be awesome, and it would be my pleasure to rate it.

My picture is comming slower than i thought *gloom*. I was working on it today at 1:00 A.M. (really tired but i didnt realize how much) and i had just finished Ed. I looked at my picture from a distance and realized that, though his body was evenly proportioned, his head was about four times the size it was supposed to be. It was scary...

Amazing! You should take up a job as a commisioning artist. You'd be swimming in your earnings in no time.

Cheez_n_ Maeve: If you drew your own avatar than I really can't wait to see how your picture's gonna turn out. = ] (Bigheaded-Ed talk gave me a scary mental image though...)

Y'know what... I get questions like that a lot. And I often go on essay-ish tangents about hints and artistic style/technique, to the point that I repeat myself in new ways every 500 word spout. (Yeah, I write too much. My brain just spills things messily.)
It's really late, and since I'm lazy, I'm going to link you to the last person I
preached gave advice to about art, anime stylization and anatomy.
Read the Comments on here.
And one thing I can say right here in answer to your question about books- don't you
dare even touch a 'how to draw manga' book. They're crap. Pure, utter crap. All of them.

Youre right all the books ive seen are crap! But i just thought someone might have a good one... anyway. That thing you tried to link me to did not make sense. It had nothing about drawing someone.. anyway I hate rammbaling (I know how you feel about preaching...I do it all the time)

That would be cool if you could teach me!! ^.^ . But I'm not much of a free-hander i'm more of a reproduction artist. And I usually just have issues with angles.

GGGGGHHHHHHAAAAA!! I hate angles!! but i love to draw.

How did it not make sense? I said to look down in the comments I gave as advice to the artist. Pretty much the cardinal rule of drawing anime, or any cartooning style at all-
Study realism and human anatomy first!I know how easy it is to think you're just 'special' and don't really want to be 'serious' with your drawing, but that's lead to the laziness of most attempted 'artists' in anime fandom, that 'it's just for fun, so the hands dont need to look like hands lololol'/ using chibis as an excuse for lack of skill, etcetera.
Trust me, though, it actually gets a lot easier after you have done the other styles first, and can then try for your own. Otherwise, you're stuck with only being able to do mediocre tracing work, and can't hold up a drawing under your own steam.

Actully befor I watched anime I loved to draw real people and got kinda good at it. But then I looked at this book my brother had and got hooked on anime. So.......

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......!!! I drew some for you that you requested on my thread, but you never commented! Made me think you hated it terribly. If you wanted more you could have always asked... You're more than welcome to re-request a drawing, of course you'll have to wait a while, but, it can't hurt. And even though I won't always post them up immediately, I
will get to them eventually. So don't doubt!!!! I'll repost them anyway.

Al and Winry.

Ed and Al, younger. Messed up a tiny bit, forgot to add the rest of Ed's shirt on the right side. Can be fixed if you would like me too.
And you could always ask for another drawing...

Just like Popogeejo... I like how Toby-chan speaks.
Regarding people who draw for fun, we'll always see those kinds of people. Sometimes it's fun just not being serious about it, it's like unwinding and feeling just really good. We can't really blame them for that. But she does have a point though when being able to make good drawings. I remember the first time I made a decent anime drawing. I was so shocked and happy about it. I can't take anything fun such as drawing seriously nowadays, too much other more important things to do, and it's not an excuse for me having craptacular drawings.
Anyway, back to topic.
I'll try my best to practice again once school's over. Just 2 more weeks and it's summer here! I always wanted to make a child scene of Winry, Ed and Al.

This thread started out good, but haven't received any fanart close to a year, and now attracting spam post that are responding to someone's post made nearly a year ago. (Some of these people who made the posts nearly a year ago are long gone and not here to see the responses one year later.)
Hence, instead of attracting more OT posts, I'm closing this thread. Sorry!!
If anyone has requests for certain drawings, instead of letting artists coming to this thread, (which hasn't happened for nearly a year now) please go to currently active artists' threads, and make your requests there. ^^
