From Rose's baby appear the Gate which swallows Ed who flys towards the world on the other side of the Gate. He appears in the early 20th century London. In the middle of chaos, Ed escapes from the Zeppelins' assault on the streets. About the same time, Dante invites Gluttony to eat Al to obtain the complete Philosopher's Stone. Al suffers the assault of Gluttony. However in the world on the other side of the Gate......

I agree with you about the returns of these characters. And Archer didn't have a lovelife IMO, since... just look at him! The way he behaves, the way he looks... Either he's asexual or... he's asexual. (I really love him, though. That guy needs love)

*second rant* Why the hell has the story moved to WW2 now (incidentally I'm studying the causes of WW2 in history class), again it seems stupid. but I guess all will be explained. Think any other characters will be in 20th century as well. Maybe this could be a return of Hughes!! (I'd punch in my CRT if that happened). All I hope is that they don't **** up the last few episodes. (Man 'm too stressed out atm, ahh well I've put Radiohead on and that should cheer me up).

Well there have been theories......It could be that you lose your memory after a while of going through the gate, or that the FMA world isn't real (I hope that isn't the case), but I guess we'll have to wait and see Only 3-4 days left until we get Episode 50 subbed, and that will probably have a lot of revelations, as I'm betting 51 will have some big set piece fight or twist like most last episodes.

About Gluttony eating Al for the stone. Doesn't that just seem like the dumbest idea for Dante? Gluttony is already a borderline dissenter now. Although I assume Dante will tell Gluttony that she will revive Lust with the stone to make him obey. But still, give Gluttony all that power? Can he use that power himself without alchemy? We've seen people use the faux red stones without alchemy....

It's really repetitve to be bashing the Archer thing over and over. I think it's unanimous that him coming back was a bad idea and poorly designed. He looks stupid, especially with the gun in his mouth. Please die Archer so we don't have to look at you in the movie.

i didn't like the bring archer back as that cyborg thing at all. it doesn't fit the setting. i mean, automail limbs are one thing. but that just looks all too futuristic to match the hagaren realm at all. could just be me though -shrugs-

yeah, i kinda liked the trigham brothers and their return in the series was actually to my liking, rather then annoyance.

Envy was Hohenheim's son right?? Well, Hohenheim made the first homunculus 400 years ago, and i guess u could assume WWII is 400 years before Ed and Al's time.

When I heard about the plot twist in 49, I was a bit skeptical, but after watching it, am interested in how they will wrap all this up in 2 more eps.

Never was a good idea, he looks SOOO lame! Especially when he has that ball turret popping out of his mouth, how does he eat? And what about his love life?

It's definitely WWI. WWII is a bit later. Quite a bit later, actually. Been doing research. I wonder if Hohenheim will die...And what is Armstrong doing? I thought he was supposed to lead a rebellion against whatever personel is left in Central. Or at least create a load of distractions.

Is it just me, or is Roy suicidal? Knowing Pride is a homonculus and yet going on ahead anyway? Is revenge for Hughes getting to his head? Either he's going to die or something else bad happens to him or Hawkeye. Or maybe Roy actually has a plan instead of charging head on. Kidnap Selim? Would he really try that?

And then theres Al lying on an array...And then the revelation that Gluttony is supposed to eat Al.

Just ten or so more hours to wait before we find out all this...

I suggest they/Al will use the p.stone to get Ed back to the "real" world..

Lets clear this up now.
WW1 - Europe 1914 - 1918 from what I remember fought almost entirely in Europe by Europians and their allies/current and ex-colonies (eg Aus, NZ.)
WW2 - Europe and the Pacific - 1939-1945 fought by Europe, America, Australia, NZ, Russia, Japan and several others. Ended in Europe when the Russians and British forced Germany to surrender, later when Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed Japan surrendered.

FMA is almost certainly set in mainland Europe, for a start a lot of the names are of German or English origin or similar, plus the map shows no oceans. Also Ed going back to 20th century London. Though I don't think it's set in England, and the land (eg mountains) doesnt match up.

rough conclusion of important plots in ep.50

1)the energy for alchemy is cased from "dead lives of people in our world".
with this point of view, there is no equivelant exchange.
it needs more energy from other side of the gate.the enegies are lost lives of our world.

2)both world is different,(mainly with a direction of science) but have almost similer structure, so there is similer people in both side.
(there might be "Al"-like one somewhere)

3)"Ed"-like guy in London is not seemed a son of Hohenheim.it's still unclear thier relation.

4)Hohenheim said "Everyone have a gate in thier mind, by using this, one can go to the other side of the gate."

5)"Ed"-like guy might be dead, because zeppelin fired and falled down to him.
(at least injured. but i think he should be alive for the next epsode. it's still unclear)

6)(with someone's life?unknown but somehow ) Ed can go back from the gate to his original world.

7)Wrath was taken his (Ed's) arm and leg by the gate.He can't stand up any more.

8)Envy was homunculi of a son of Hohenheim and Dante.he died in an accident.
Hohenheim tried to transmute him but it faild. His face is simler with Hohenheim.

anyway, a summary from what ive seen and guessed:

-behind the gate, ed dies because a zeppelin crushes into him.
-dante changes the behaviour of gluttony, he now is a freaking ape-like homunculus... u can compare him to EVA-01 Berserk Mode when he absorbed shinji-kun into his core...
-Dante opens the gate, wrath and envy standing before it.
-gate takes wrath /eds arm and leg behind the gate.
- envy sees edward coming from the other side of the gate , calling him (the first time i guess) "Edo".
- Fighting between Envy - Ed , envy changes form into Marcoh, Trisha, Hughes, Roy (that was too funny XD before roy, ed punched envy into his face which was first envy, then marcoh,hughes, even with the face of trisha ed hit him... but then roy. Ed smiling, saying something like that's what he was wished for so long and gives envy-roy a hard hit into the face XD
but then the face becomes like hohenheim(young), and Ed stops calling envy "hohenheim...".
then story about envy being son of dantexhohenheim, see posts above for that.
then Envy stabs Ed... large amount of blood coming out of him... Al is extremely shocked, he only says "nii-san..." and Roze's Eyes change back to normal called Ed's name like back in episode 41/42. the episode fades out with a zoom into ed's eye, which fades to black... like they always do in anime when a chara dies ^^U

so ed's supposed to be dead now... ;_;

Actually Envy tranformed to ...

Dr. Marcoh, Hughes, Trisha, and Roy.

to fight against Edward who just returned from the other side of the gate.
Envy want to disturb Ed's mind with forms of his friends/mother.
this is similer way when Envy killed Hughes.

But when Envy transformed to Roy's face,
Edward said "This face is the easiest one to beat !"

And then he said "show me your true face!"

so Envy transformed to his true face.

I think we could keep a hope that he could be saved somehow,

for example, Hohenheim, in London, will save "Ed-like" guy
so soul of Edward can go to the other side of the gate again...

from this reason, I guess "Ed -in London" didn't die.
