Immortal: it was a o.k movie but to much special effects.

I too recommend SAW and SAW 2. Very good...The Notebook is also a very good movie.

The Descent, I thought it was really good and it made me jump all the time.
Then again I did watch it at a mates house and he has surround sound

The Forgotten was too heavy with all the flashing lights in Boogeyman, but had some parts where it made you jump.

Watership DownOh yes, but I suppose it was quite concentrated within the UK. Quite violent for a childs cartoon but I love it. They made it into a series a few years ago but it was awful, so check out the original film.

Anyway, I like Kung Pow: Enter the Fist and Shaolin Soccer a lot. They are awesome ^^
For gore, you could try Ichi the Killer. Even the edited version is constant blood.

Aah, I've got Ichi, by the end I was cross eyes as I had know idea what was going on anymore.
