Might as well get this thread started since the episode airs in about 45 minutes. (In Eastern time, anyway)

Good episode again. Al had two fight scenes.

The end with Al was good for a laugh. The episodes seem to be jumping around a lot more than they used to. I think the best scene was when Al and Ed went back to Izumi and "forced" her to help them. Also, I really liked the Ishbal stuff with Lust and Gluttony. Gives you an idea of how the original masacre got started. The introduction of Dante seemed really random and out of the blue.

I really liked the scene with the ishbal. It really gave insight into what really happened, and I really liked the part where Riza Hawkeye hesitated because she didn't want the whole rebellion thing to start again. I am not sure why izumi is continuing to protect the child Wrath, but she is finally helping the boys. And what now with Greed? I can't wait for next weeks epp.

'Seemed' being the key word.
I always liked this episode. Especially the start and the ending part with Al. Good little laugh there. Wrath's voice still kind of grates on my nerves, but I can live with it. Still pleased with Greed and the rest. Everything is beginning to pick up... (as if it ever slowed down) and the episodes get better and better. Can't wait for next week.
Oh and yes FMA is on next week. While I have no idea what in the world that weird CGI anime thing is, apparently it's only thirty minutes long and will air at 12:00 EST. Which means no conflict with FMA. According to the official schedule FLCL will dissapear from the line up that week for that... thing. All other shows remain on schedule.

I always liked this episode a bit....things really begin to take off in it. I still prefer the Japanese Wrath to the English one, but that's minor. And of course some of the changed lines...but oh well

. Al is great in it! I love the end, hehe. And so we meet Dante...................

That was Dante's theme.
I thought it was funny how oddly drawn Ed was when he was on the ground, his right arm was longer then his left x.X;;
And yay for not going anywhere with strangers! XD

: Among the ruins of the city, there is a game only children can play. It is called “Otokoyo”; a game of hide-and-seek. But whenever children play this game, one by one they would disappear into the blinds of the buildings… The story begins when a boy enters the world of Otokoyo, to find his missing sister.

"My teacher told me not to go with strangers" Perfect line. They just had to do it.
Anyway, When Yoki got killed, I thought Riza had shot him, until I noticed the litttle lines. At that moment, I was like, "Good job Lust!", until the miltary started shooting at random. Through when was the last time you saw Gluttany make pow noises?
(Is it just me, or is the name for the next episode, "Al, Captured", sound stupid?)

Dante looks like such a nice old lady. But looks can be deceiving....
So I guess that since Al's being kidnapped, does Greed want him for the same reasons he did in the manga?

Stupid? I don't know about that. Could be better, lots better? Yes. I think the Manga chapter title that kind of fits in with that Episodes timeline was better.

Yes it was a great episode and it answered a lot of Questions too.
The question that was bugging me the most was what happened to Al's body. Since Ed's arm and leg weren't destroyed I know Al's weren't ethier. And now we know Al's body is floating somewhere behind the gate. It also answered the question how would they use the phoulosifer stone to restore there bodys? Now we know there going to force open the gate to get Al's body back. As for Ed's arm and leg....... Lets just say Wrath has a beating coming!

Another great FMA episode! That scene with Al was great! "I decided not to go with strangers". XD The way he said that was great! Dante is on the scene. And Father Elric is mentioned. Dante...well, I won't spoil.

The line that Mustang said to Riza, "Clean that stuff off your head.", seemed a little cold. He didn't seem too concerned that someone threw a rock at her! Maybe it is just me...
Can't wait to see next week's episode.
Oh, and to be off-topic for a second, I can't believe that AS is putting Neon Genesis Evagelion on THURSDAY NIGHTS at 12:30 AM!!! I won't be able to see it, cuz I work! >_<

you can really begin to see a change in al's demeanor in this episode. he is becoming more jaded and serious than he was in the first season, and much less innocent and naive.
this was an intense episode. all the upcoming episodes are pretty intense, pretty much all the way to the end of the show.

well the events of all the characters are coming to a head, and soon everything is going to be exposed.
the secrets, all of them, will be revealed. and there are a lot of them.
this particular episode was intense. that squirming officer-turned-refugee was brutally killed, al was kidnapped. and it looks as if mustang had to scorched a group of rioters. wow.

It was funny, with the possible exception of the female, the members of Greed's gang sounded kinda nice. I expected them to be a little more, I don't know, thuggish. That was most polite kidnapping I've ever seen.

- Presumably, Greed's not gong to kill Ed, though he has the chance. I'm guessing that he wants Ed to do something for him, and is going to force him by threatening Al's life.
- If Dante created Greed, she must be even older than she looks. Hmm...
- Archer seems to have some weird obsession with Kimblee. I wonder if there's a history between these two.
Don't spoil me, though. Just musing.

Finally, some fighting. And Al came close to ripping Wrath to pieces a few times.
But I would say the best scene was when Yoki got 'shot'. They all started to wonder why there was no gunfire, then Gluttony made his improv gunfire noises.

The Yoki getting killed scene was awesome, I love those 2, they're so cool. It took me a bit to realize those were Lust's fingernails, but Gluttony's gun noises were good for a luagh. Al's little don't talk to strangers line was pretty funny too.

I feel a little silly asking this, but...
Fuhrer King Bradley. Does he have two titles, Fuhrer and King, or is King actually his first name?
adamclark
Oct 26 2005, 01:20 AM
i think its a comglomeration of several titles: president, fuhrer (a german title for a dictator/president, that's what they called hitler), and king.
all three are very different types of rulers. i personally have been confused over which he really is. i think it's one of the continuity mistakes in the story.
i bet the manga doesn't make those kinds of mistakes.
just think of him as a military-type dictator. one that could be overthrown, hence Mustang's ambious claims.

I think it has something to do with how Kimblee can make things go boom and Archer's love of war.
Fuhrer King Bradley -> Fuhrer is his title in the military, King is his given name, and Bradley is his surname. So if he weren't in the military we would call him King. Cool name imo
