FMA, it had alot of deathes in it. And it's the only one that made me cry.

Probably Cowboy Bebop. Fullmetal Alchemist is really heart wrenching, too. Both are the animes I started out on and fell in love with (I'm majorly obsessed with both,) and I think they're the only ones that can make me really cry. I've teared up at a few others, but those two make me really cry for a bunch of different reasons. I get so invested in the characters; it's kind sad.

Last Exile because I was sad at what happened to several of the characters, okay to most of the characters. Hack Sign because I was really depressed that I gave up so much time watching it.

Sorry I don't watch anime that is like that.

Wolfs' Rain was the most depressing anime in the entire world.
I cryed all night after the last five eps.
I sort of miss that anime...

PEOPLE! THE MOST SADDEST ANIME YOU WILL EVER WATCH IS THE ANIME SERIES CALLED AIR!!
This anime is SOO SAD!! OMG! THE HALF OF THE SEASON MADE ME CRY IN EVERY EPISODE!! WHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! It's seriously sadder than Fruits Basket, SERIOUSLY!! It focuses around these three girls, each with different problems. The main one, Misuzu, is the saddest! She's always alone, even from her mother. She doesn't have any friends and if she ever gets close with someone, she has these attacks of sudden crying. And as it goes on, Misuzu eventually have pains in her body and the person close to her will die too! Kano, the second girl, was kinda sad. Not sad as the others though. She always wanted to go to the sky to meet her mother. Minagi, I think, IS SO SAD! Her mother was pregnant with her little sister, but the little sister died. Her mother couldn't take her death, so she pretended Minagi was Michiru (the little sister) and that Minagi never existed! Later, her mother accepts Michiru's death, but only forgetting about Minagi and that she never had a daughter!! (okay, I'm kinda gettin' spoilery...) THIS ANIME IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SAD!! IT MADE ME CRY!! WHA!! IT'S SO HEART-WARMING!! IT'S A MASTERPIECE DUDE, A MASTERPIECE!! GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW!! WHA!

Yeah... and I don't get the ending... Is it like a never-ending anime or what? Ooo... I think I'll start a discussion on that...

FMA is d saddest most depressing anime i've evr watched;-; d ending(of d series and d movie) was so sadTToTT i don't want it to be over yet, the ending's too depressing.... thank god for d ovas!!!TTToTTT

X the movie... it was strange and had a very depressing ending...

I'd have to say, in this order...
1. Neon Genisis Evangelon, just because Shinji tends to be so depressed and whiney,and for so long(get over it!)
2. Ghost in the Shell- because it gets pretty deep, and the saddest episode I saw was when the touchcoma(however you spell that) meets the little girl who looks for her dog. I reveal no more for fear of inadvertantly making a spoiler!
3. Gungrave-which totally seemed sad to me, what with the betrayals and stuff...but it was still a really good series. I totally thought Brandon Heat- the younger version, though sometimes the older version too- was totally hot.

Also, I don't think that FMA is that sad. I actually thought the ending was kind of hopefull, but not depressing.

I saw the finale of Chrno Crusade yesterday, and it made me cry. XD;; It actually succeeded in topping FMA sadness, which I used to think was impossible.

And Grave of the Fireflies couldn't let me sleep!!

Yeah, Wolf's Rain is sad - what kind of paradise was that? But hands donw, the saddest is Grave Of The Firefliers. The aggressor's people suffered too.

FMA and the last ep of DBGT were pretty sad

I've never seen Grave of the Fireflies yet =\ I'll have to try an' see if my brother has it... But the saddest one i've ever seen was the japanese version of FMA ep. 7 with Nina... And in Trigun where Legato goes bye-bye.

Elfen Lied had it's moments...

As of right now, its Wolf's Rain for me. I finished watching all of that series last night and wow, sadness.

FMA is still the loneliest anime i've ever watched...lots of bloody events...

Welll... I'mma go with Full Metal Alchemist for now until I see some others, it had its truly sad moments.

Now the ones I think were depressing are, Evangelion because of the wacky ending...

The strange ending of Wolf's Rain although was good it had a strange ending...

and a couple of others who I can't remember...

Grave of Fireflies, of course. Then Elfen Lied, or Wolf's rain. I thought that Trust and Betrayal was pretty depressing too.

I agree with Grave of Fireflies (Hotaru no Haka) it's SO SAD, that reach a point where i can't get even more depressed and start to feel pathetic >_o

loveless i dont watch these kinds (i am not girly!) i didint see it all but it is sometimes really gloomy especially the first theme song it makes you think.

chrono crusade, i makes me depressed and the ending of it is so sad. chrono and rosette died at the end..it make me cry a little bit. but it was a good anime.

i think either fma of the rurouni kenshin oavs/samurai x... maybe not, i dunno.

Saikano is said too! Sukisho was a little sad, but not one of the saddest...Samurai X too.
