Unfortunately, I'm poor (LOL) or I'd already have every single FMA-related thing I could get my hands on. Right now, I only have the first volume of the manga (T.T), a necklace, iron-on patches of Ed, Roy, and the logo, Ed and Al chibi keychains (squee!), among many pictures saved on my computer. Only 2 more years until I can get a job...then my room will be packed FULL of FMA merchandise (and all the other anime/manga I like...). I also really, really, REALLY enjoy fanfiction and fanart....

And, alas, the insane part of my obsession is my imagining and fantasies that I can travel to their world at will, and that I can help them with all their troubles and save them from the tragic ending they have in the movie (When it comes to all the tragic and sad things that happen in the series, I bawl like a baby. Especially the ending to the movie...which I won't say, but it makes me bawl at just the thought of it.). Heh...I really have to learn to pay attention in class and not do this particular FMA-obsessive trait.

Sane? No. FMA obsessed? Yes.

Just to let all of you people know... while some of you have seen all the Adult Swim Episodes I applaude you! But believe me until you see them all in its original form you have no clue what you are missing... If ne of you have an ebay account i would recommend you getting online and buying the entire series in its original format. It is a million times better plus you can see the other 25 or so episodes that havent aired yet on AS! If you do go to order it there are many people on ebay that have it and are willing to sell it for cheap. I got mine for 99 cents (but i had to pay $39.99 to ship it from Japan!) Everyone must see the ending... YOU KNOW THIS MAN!!!

I like FMA, but it isn't my favorite anime ever, or favorite story of all time. I like some other animes and stories better. I don't watch my DVDs over and over, I don't get every DVD volume, and I don't buy everything FMA (though I do have some stuff).

Now Fushigi Yuugi, that I consider myself hardcore. I have pictures of Nakago on my bed, and framed and sitting on my night table next to me. I have cels from it, cosplay jewelry and almost every manga, and custom plushies of Nakago, Tomo and Nuriko. And I'm having a custom doll made of Nakago as a child. Oh, and I have a couple tattoos from FY, Tomo's and Nuri's seishi symbols.

This thread is more like, 'showing off your FMA items' instead of telling why you like it so much...

You can combine it this the silver-watch in order to become a "standard" State Alchemist.

i put im not a hardcore fan, i dont own anything (yet) of FMA, and i dont go on talking about it everyday. i have watched the whole series twice and the movie once. im also going to buy the full dvd collection once the last one is out (the american), then i can consider myself somewhat of a hardcore fan.

I'm a hardcore FMA fan...{I think...and hope I am atleast.]

I don't own much FMA stuff, other than the first few DVD's and the FMA manga volumes [2.4. and 5] and some Ed and Al key-chains. But believe me I ALL OF WANT IT! I send almost all my time on the internet looking for something FMA related [ Japanese Fanart, Fanfictions, Icons...]. I draw Al [and occasionaly Ed] constantly, my school notes are covered in him (XP)... I watch the subbed episodes and AMV's on Youtube, and dubbed ones on Adult swim. I have all the opening songs plus 'Brajta' on my MP3 player...I'm still looking for 'Lost Heaven'...And I can go on and on about Al [Too more poor non-FMA obsessed friends] for hours!

i'd call myself a hardcore fan. seeing as how ive watched every episode and they are all on the computer. which is KILLING my speed and memory btw. i play the game all the time, read the manga, i joined the forums FINALLY, i try to get people who love anime and havent watched full metal to join in on the obsession and i yell at my friends if they make me miss the saturday night episodes on adult swim(...even tho ive already probably watched it subbed)

YOu kidding? I obsess over FMA! I try to force everyone to get into it somehow. Though only like 3 people actually have seen a decent amount so far. One friend got to see 1 episode...

I guess I'm a hardcore FMA fan, but I think that depends on whoever else's perspective. I love FMA, try to get others to watch it. Some of my friends tell me I spend way too much time with FMA related things, but then I'm sure there are some people who post on this forum who would think I'm a casual fan. By the way:
(the best way to get people into it who don't really dig anime in the first place , at least I've found, is to get them to see some FMAMV on places like you youtube not the episodes themselves)

I have every episode on DVD (either in japanese or english).
I spent over $225 on FMA stuff.
I watch all the episodes.
I have millions of pictures in my sketchbook.

All the FMA stuff I have is in my signature. (look down, silly. )

I agree. I don't have much money to spend on FMA stuff (or at least not as much as I would like), and so I make my own. I made puppets not plushies. I've also been making murals and painting doors with my friends at school, and when people like them and ask what it is, we can subtly weave them into the amazingness of FMA. It also lets you get to know the people that know FMA as they walk by and see the work.

I'm certainly hardcore! Let's see:

1)I've read up about alchemy and discovered many other famous alchemists as well.
2)I studied a bit of Czech so that I can sing Bratja better.
3)I own 3 volumes of the manga, the artbook and the full anime set.
4)I almost know any quote and which episode it comes from.
5)I try to connect FMA and Frankestein.
6)I can play Melissa, Undo, Bratja and the second ending theme on the piano.
7)I have 40+pics to use on my desktop.
8)I plan to write a story next time with some alchemy ideas of my own.
9)Plus, I've converted one of my friends into an FMA fan.

I watched my first episode of FullMetal and within three weeks time from that moment I:
-had all eight DVD's that had been released.
-had all the soundtracks.
-had two t-shirts.
-had two posters.
-had the movie.
-had finished watching the subbed version of the show on YouTube.
-had all the Manga that had been released.
-had read the rest online.
-had a FMA background and a screensaver that I created using screenshots.

Let's see...
- I bought my first manga in januari and within 2 days owned all 5 volumes then avalible
- After reading the manga's in one day wnet to the gamestore and bought dvd 2,3,4
- Ordered dvd 1 on the internet.
- Mobilized every friend I have to get me all the episodes and the movie ASAP (if they valued their well-being )
- Watched all they episodes in 2 days. (in japanese btw)
- Now mobilyzing friend-squad to get me the dubs
- Going into the gameshop every week to check on new dvd's (they're a little behind, they only got um up to 5)
- Drives friends insane talking about it

All time low: I hooked up with a guy in some bar, just because he had all the dubbs... (still haven't got um though)

I'm not a hardcore fan, but I love Fullmetal Alchemist. All I really have is the manga, but soon I'll be getting some keychain plushies ^^

I love it to bits but I'm not gonna be upset if I can't see it again.
I can quote Simpsons or Mash from heart and am gaining that ability for FMA but in all cases once I watch them once or twice I can pretty much replay them in my head(although it doesn't compare to actual watching ofcourse.)
