How about... FMA Mania? tongue.gif

FMA RULEZ IT'S THE BEST ANIME EVER! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I'd like to think I am. I have tons of FMA merchandise, artbooks, figures, plushies, cds, dvds, mangas...I bought the anime series on dvd (and anime dvds where I live are EXPENSIVE), even if I don't like it as much as the manga (I don't know if I'll buy the movie or not...but being the hardcore fan that I am, I probably will) oh, and I also bought the two PS2 games that came out in the States this year, even if the voices are only in English and they're so damn easy to beat, they're still fun.
gunslinger alchemist
How do you decide on such a thing? What makes a real fan different from a fake one
Alchemical
If you like FMA by just the slightest bit, you're still a fan. Hardcore is just a level of fandom you're on.

I like to think of myself as a hardcore fan, mostly because I absolutely love FMA, and it's been at the top of my favorite anime/manga list for at least three years. And the loads of FMA merchandise I have has to mean something! XD
The Fullmetal Wad
Im definately hardcore!

Although the first time i watched the anime/read the manga, i downloaded it off the internet, a couple of weeks later i had gotten the series in English, and the whole translated Manga series to keep at home (store-bought btw, just so i could tell people i had them!)

A couple of weeks after that, i thought about whether there was a difference in the Jap and English versions, so i immediately downloaded all fan-subbed episodes of the Japanese version.
I had finished it in about 4 days...

The day i finished it, i wanted something NEW, so i went out and got the Movie.

Then i attended one of my first ever anime-con's. and bought a State Alchemist Watch cool.gif
Also, i am in the process of creating my very own cosplay costume of Al (in his metal armour). woo!

In all i think i've watched the whole series... 12 or 13 times in English, and 3 or 4 Fansubbed. smile.gif

Ooh, i almost forgot.
Im painting my room all over with different Transmutation circles. Woo.

I also have ALL the FMA games ('cluding Jap ones, even though i can't play them on my Aussie-consoles...)
Every main character as a plush toy (Ed, Al, Winry, Roy, Riza, Armstrong, All of the deadly sins, Maes, Etc.)
And all the artbooks!

Definately Hardcore wink.gif
river chaser alchemist
I'm a hardcore fan! biggrin.gif I've seen the whole series in English and Japanese more than once, and draw all the characters all the time(that's why my grandmother is making me take art class, so I can get away from that sad.gif ). I've gotten all my friends into too! wink.gif
Dark Night Alchemist
I fail to see why you'd be on the Fullmetal-Alchemist.com forums if you weren't a fan.
Fushi
Someone says a quote or a scene I can tell them exactly what episode it was in.

Despite owning the DVDs, I watch the series every Friday on Canadian TV regardless.

Watched it in both languages, multiple times.

I own a pocket watch and Flamel necklace. I wore the pocket watch to school everyday and actually used it till the batteries started dying and I didn't know how to change them. I still wear the Flamel everyday.

.........some nights I sleep with my Roy or Al plushie. >3>

Cosplayed Sloth for Halloween. I want to cosplay other characters but lack the time and cons, and am very content with doing my cosplay of another character from another series in 2 weeks. (one hint: desu~)

Still, any decent FMA cosplayer I see I will be getting pictures of, and depending on the character migt try to score a picture with them and maybe a few numbers...<o< >3>

I think the movie stinked! laugh.gif (I'm sorry, but I don't think liking the movie and being completely oblvious to its many flaws is hardcore. >> If you're able to see its many, many flaws, then you could be hardcore)

Working on an FMA fangame.

Also working on a parody fandub with my friend.

Going to give both to Vic Mignogna whenever they're finished cause I'm such a loser. laugh.gif

Originally had hoped to give Vic a cute little doujinshii (not of the yaoi kind actually) when I go meet him in 2 weeks. Unfortunately don't know when that'll finish...

Have a Roy Mustang mule account on Gaia that I like to put in skrits. Muahahaha.

I still giggle everytime I see the "Pimp Ed" meme. XDDDDD

Still striving to have a huge collection of merchandise and manga. >3>

I'm a member here and have huge frickin' debates over a fictional character's sexuality. laugh.gif If that's not hardcore, tell me what is! XD

There's some things I'm forgetting here...but oh well.

Point stands, pretty hardcore I say. If not then at least uber geeky to the max. laugh.gif Less hardcore than I used to be tho now that Rozen also consumes my obsessions~ *3* *if your opinion of me changes because of this post, I'm sorry D:*
Plasmajosh
Now define Hardcore - i have seen many of the episodes twice have two copies of the movie, own the entire set of DVD's, have taken interest in this forum site and am now looking into the Manga series. Hardcore or not i'm still a fan.

DarkAlchemist77
Oh, gosh. I've completely exceeded the level of "hardcore fan" and anyone who knows me can tell you that. I am so obsessed, it's embarrassing to the people around me. Not me, the people around me XD.

Currently, I'm busy watching the series my fourth time through on the Adult Swim line-up. Yes, the fourth time through, and I still crack up so hard at every joke or cry my heart out at the most depressing of scenes. It never gets old! I watch a lot of the other dubs too -- I watch German and French because I simply LOVE Ed's voice in them, and I watch the Spanish dubs to "study" for Spanish class XD. I've never watched much of the original Japanese version, though, for some reason. I need to do that.

I can recite the scripts for my favorite episodes almost flawlessly, and I can tell you just when and where a soundtrack played in the series. I know the number of every episode, so most people come to me when they wanna know in what episode a scene played in the series XD.

I have all three soundtracks and all of the opening/ending themes (which is basically what I listen to on my iPod 90% of the time) and have the complete manga collection. I'm working on building up my DVD and novel collection, though, as well as the art and profile books (right now I only have the first manga art one). I have Ed and Al plushies, as well as an Al pillow (which I sleep with almost every night >_<''), all of the FMA games released in English, and a Human!Al costume (which I cosplayed in at A-Kon 18 *faintdie*). I also have a number of FMA T-shirts...and I've kept the tags for them all XD. 'Cause they have the huge logo on them. They're all propped up on my dresser right now. *Faintdies again.*

So, yeah, I have a lot of the merchandise, but that's not all. Every day, all I ever think about is FMA. Whether it's through fanfiction, fanart, or daydreaming, or even in the dreams I have at night -- it's always FMA. I'm even in the midst of creating an FMA shrine in my closet.

I hate to admit it, but I think I love it waaay too much. XD It's just...it's too awesome to pass up!
Popogeejo
I like the range of choices.
Jennifer Darknight
I.....am definitely not hardcore. I love the series. I write fanfic, I download doujinshi, I own stuffed animals, pillows, and a movie poster (OMG HEI ON MY WALL), but I'm hardly 'hardcore'. That rank goes strictly to Clock Tower, in which I buy everything that ever exists for it (I NEED TO FIND THE NOVELS D:).

I'm more of a "Hardcore Heiderich Fan" than a "Hardcore FMA Fan" XD;;
Desu ne?
I'm not a hardcore fan. In fact, I'm slowly losing interest. =p Also, I'm not too interested in anything apart from the manga and anime like various merchandise. I even called a "flame alchemist watch" ugly. Lol. If I was hardcore I'd drool over it and try to get my hands on it somehow.
Mat-Mat
I'm a HUGE fan of Fullmetal Alchemist, and anyone who is saying on this website that you are not, I'll not mention any names...Desu ne?, you need to get off your computer and see why you are not a fan of this wonderful show we all know as...FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST!!!!! (Stadium cheers and all the applause I want!)

If anyone is looking for a friend, I'm your Fullmetal fan. Just visit my profile, give me one comment, and I'll talk to you people on open chat on just about anything that doesn't have to deal with Fullmetal and all!
Becca-chan
Well...I'm not too sure how to label myself as being a hardcore fan of it, but in the way of merchandise; I have...

A Chibi Roy Mustang Keychain
A Chibi Ed and Al purse
As many of the manga's that have been published in english at the moment ( although they're more my little sisters...I only ever read the first story in book two tongue.gif )
All of the anime DVD's plus the movie
Two of the FMA manga artbooks
The manga profiles book
The anime profiles book
And a nifty book that merges the anime and manga universe together ( oh yes!)
( I know what you're thinking...although in all honesty, I go more wild over the FMA books that come out rather than the other merchandise like Ed's pocketwatch or something, and when I say FMA books...I don't mean the manga)

I have also watched all of the episodes and want to watch them all over again, particular my favourite ep's.

I've also wrote eight ( one being a collaboration with a friend) FMA fanfics, plus three containing only original characters yet it's still set in the FMA world.
And I've drawn quite a lot of FMA fan-art dating back as far as July-August 2006 up to recently.

Although anyone who knew me could tell you that half the time it's almost like I'm a Tucker fan rather than an actual FMA fan. XD
But I am still a Fullmetal Alchemist fan...Shou Tucker *is* a FMA character afterall.
Alchemist of Rock
ehehe....I'm obsessed.
LoMXD
I like this series too much for my own good. I'm always quoting the charactrs when I'm at school and my friendsv say it will be my social death
Kai13
Hardcore fan here, i would have to say fanatic, yeah, my hair is dark brown, but it looks like Ed's.

I have tons of FMA pics on my PSP, one of them is my wallpaper, aldo do in my PC, I'm about to spend 50 euros in a set of FMA gashapons, another 24 euros in Ed's watch, I'm gonna buy some black pants and I'm still looking for a jacket, to look the same as Edward.

I spent 45 euros (which is a lot for the matter) in an Edward action figure, whom would normally cost about 15 euros, crazy huh? Nope fanatic. I want so badly to buy some FMA booster packs.

I want to buy the FMA games for my DS, but can't find it though, I'm playing Dual Sympathy by M3 DS...

I have Edward, Alphonse and Winry's action figure, I have a few trading figures (whoa, it came to me right now, I'm gosing to create a FMA blog, in english, I'll post there my pics, you'll have news from me soon.

Trading figures i have:
-Ed
-Winry
-Roy
-Lust
-Envy
-King Bradley

I have mangas, 1 to 14, and the last ones I bought we're very expensive, I paid for them more about 10 euros than what I should have paid =P

Some of this days I'm going to put a stamp of FMA on a t-shirt, and then I get addicted and start to stamp all my t-shirts, xD

I love FMA to death happy.gif
The Frozen Alchemist
Im a HUGE FMA fan. Its my favorite show! Half the time its all im thinking about.
LittleFullMental
of course! I coved my wall with their posters! my computer has an FMA theme! I try to collect as much as possible! My mp3 player never had none of the songs! And i try to collect as much info as i possibly can!!
Havanese
I'm a big fan, but I'm not sure if I'd be considered "hardcore" or not. Aside from all 16 volumes of the manga released in English, I have no FMA merchandise. I'm not a fan of the anime anymore, either. When I first watched it, I fell in love with it, but now it's just meh to me.

I am pretty active in the FMA fandom, though, and I think about it very often, especially right before a new manga chapter is released. So I think I'm a hardcore fan, but others may disagree.
Funkyduck
I think I'm hardcore.
I keep watching FMA episodes, and I'm recording the whole series. I want to watch all the episodes I missed this summer! I have an Envy figurine-thingy, manga volumes 1-7 and the anime profiles, and there used to be an FMA poster on the wall. I spent months learning how to draw Envy, and I am right now learning how to play the opening theme song on my clarinet. Envy drawings cover my journal. I was writing a long FMA fanfiction, until it kind of died, I've watched so many beginning episodes, my dad can play part of the first theme song on his guitar.
sadlyXnormal
HARDCORE. Dude it's all I ever talk about, think about, dream about. <3 And it has been since like last July...XD
edo little kid
I'm a HUGE fan of Fullmetal Alchemist!!!!!!!

well, duhhhhhh
of course I am.
And proud of it biggrin.gif

Of course I'm hard core! FMA FTW!!! I've been obsessed with Greed for 3 years and I still think he's hotter than hell! FullMetal is amazing!

crazyanimefan
Probably not a hardcore fan, but I sure do like it. I have no merchandise whatsoever, but I do plan to get all of the manga because I adore it.
fullmoon

Alfie
A fan, yes, but not hardcore. I am clinging to the remainder of my social life. (But I do have one FMA wallscroll hanging in my bedroom.)
FullMetalFist
Anyone on here who is not a hardcore fan is a walking contradiction. Why would anyone have a profile on here and not be a hardcore fan? O well.
luluseason
Hmm, hardcore or not?
Either way I'm a big fan of FMA. and i know it xDD
Mhacy
yes. im a hardcore fan of FMA.
ever since the anime was aired in phil.
i read the manga. and watched the first series over 10 times.
now im watching the brotherhood. and im loving it than the old one. spiteful.gif
xXdark_angel_nekoXx
well i think that i am cause i have seen the series aleast 15 times and i have the movie in japanesse and english.... and i have a necklace, 2 keychains, a bookbag, and 2 ps2 games, a ds game, and most of the manga. and when ever the show comes on or if i am watching in on my computer that is the only thing that i want to do at that moment. so ya i thnk i am a hard core fma fan.
Trakonda
I think I am.. pretty much! >.> I love to draw fanart, I've watched all the new FMA eps every Sunday as soon as they just come out on the internet somewhere, and.. yeah. And I've seen the first FMA anime about 4 times now.

But that's not all! now for my hoard list:

I have all the mangas up to vol 20 in Finnish (all that's been released here at the moment. ) DVD's of the first season up to vol 6 (still working on that XD the DVD's are just so expensive! ) and Conqueror of Shamballa DVD.

Umm.. I have 3 posters and one wallscroll on my room, 2 Edward plushies, one figure, 3 artbooks (2 manga and 1 anime) profile books of both manga and anime, uhh..

Pocket watch, just recently bought necklace of the serpent symbol, another necklace thingy with a transmutation circle, 2 keychains, one mobile kaychain thingy (Hello Kitty dressed as Ed or something X'D) some magazines with FMA stuff on them, FMA Dual Sympathy for the DS.

..I THINK that's all. XD Oh gosh, now I know where did all of my money go..

..and yes, mind you, I DO have a social life.. I just love to collect stuff, that's all. XD

Quick edit: oh, and 2 FMA doujinshi-thingies bought from some con. 8D
Chaotic_Alchemy
I'm a Fullmetal freak, and its getting worse. xD I've seen the whole series, I have about half the DVD's of the first series (I'm gonna collect them all.), and the movie.
I also have:
An 8 in Ed plushie
A 12 inch Al plushie
A mint tin
A pot (which I made in art class, so its not really official but...its cute.)
All the PS2 games
All the DS games
An Al shirt (which I'm proudly wearing as I post this! )
An Ed dog tag necklace
FMA Anime art book
FMA Profiles book
Magazines
4 of the mangas (I'm waiting for my local book store to get the 5th. People here aren't really into anime much and it takes them forever to get stuff.)
One of the novels
FMA Unofficial guide
2 posters
1 TCG Card
Edit: Forgot my Al hat. D:

And I severely want the pocket watch, and Ed and Al mugs I saw on the internet.

Hehe, FMA DVD's are the new Pokémon now. Gotta catch 'em all! 8D

D'aww, I've always wanted the Al hat. Nice! biggrin.gif

Anyways, just to update my collection ~ vol 21 of the manga just got released in Finland, so.. yes, I have all the mangas up to 21 now. Wohoo ~

Yeah, the Al hat is really cute. We had a hat day at school and I wore my Al hat and my friend wore her Ed hat. It was a fun day.

Whoa, Volume 21 of the manga is in Finland? I think its only been released up to 18 here in the U.S.

Al and Ed hats? WANT. tongue.gif

Yeah, only up to 18 cuz Viz is so darn slow. dry.gif I think vol 19 is coming out next month.

Anyway, I consider myself as hardcore as possible without any FMA merchandise besides the DVDs of the first 16 anime episodes tongue.gif I really wish I could buy all the manga books but I don't really have any money, and my parents don't particularly like my spending so much time on manga...so they'd prefer I don't spend too much money on it either. I really want an Ed plushie though :3
Trakonda
Hehe, yeah. o.o I think it's pretty funny, they started translating the manga in Finland around 2007 February.. much later than Viz. Yet they published a new vol every month, so fast that now we're catching up the japanese releases.. which is why they had to slow it down to every 3-4 months or so now. o.o vol 23 is said to be released either near Christmas, or at the beginning of next year. (I do hope for Christmas, though!)

I wonder why it takes so long for Viz! x_x

Ah, there's an Ed hat, too? nice! XD

Anyways kkg, don't worry about that. rating fandom through the amount of merchandise you have has always been a little wrong, even to my opinion. You can't help it if you don't have the money, or simply can't find anyone who sells the stuff you want in your country. (that has happened with my other fandoms.. that's why I collect FMA stuff like crazy when I still can find it! )

It's your own love towards the series that counts the most. biggrin.gif But yeah, having some stuff in your collection is always nice thing to brag about, if you have it. But saying that I'm a better fan than someone who doesn't have these things? ..nah.
*hugs her Ed plush* I hope you'll find one, someday! X3

Yup, there's an Ed hat too. x3 Its actually really warm, you could wear it when its cold.

I agree. It bothers me when people think that if you don't have any merchandise for an anime or you haven't cosplayed it you can't be a fan. I ordered 85% of my FMA merch from other places or on the internet. That's why I love the internet. You can get things you wouldn't usually be able to buy in your area. And if you can find good deals...hey, why not!

And, I just got volumes 5 and 6 of the manga. tongue.gif This is why I like going out of town.
kkg22104
@Trakonda: Thanks, that makes me feel a little better. happy.gif

@Chaotic_Alchemy: What kind of sites do you use to buy FMA merchandise? I mostly use Amazon, but I'm guessing a lot of this stuff comes from Japan lol. And I would buy the manga, except I don't really like Viz's translations sometimes. Still searching for my plushie XD

Trakonda
No problem! happy.gif

Hehe, indeed. I absolutely hated that with my other fandoms. A person who was claimed to be "the biggest fan" showed off her collection lots of times, then questioned if anyone else is as big fan as she is. Bah. I surely know I love the mentioned series a lot, but.. can't help it if I don't live in the UK like she does. >_>

Woot, nice! I wish I could order stuff from online too. biggrin.gif Sadly, I'm not allowed to use our credit card that much. I've ordered stuff maybe 2-3 times. o.o
But I agree, internet is full of awesome goodies. <3

Nice! It's slowly growing! :3
