Ocarina of time is the "classic" Zelda for me it is what got me into it.
Majora's Mask is a darker Zelda with a more in-depth storyline so its my 2nd.
Minish Cap is sorta easy but great overall gameplay so 3rd.
Wind Waker is a nice conclusion to Hyrule but i wish The King of Red Lions would of saved it so it is 4th.

Legend of Zelda is my favorite game series ever, (Besides FF7, but that's the only one game that beats the legend of Zelda) Twilight princess is going to be amazing, I heard it was over 100 hours of gameplay

Majora's mask was my alltime favorite closely followed by Ocarina of Time. MAjora's mask was great, it's one and only downside was the 3 day thing, but when you think about it you have way more than enough time to complete any dungeons so yeah...

The Legend of Zelda gets way too much attention IMHO, and the fanboys of the games are creepy as hell, but the games are still fun.
My personal favorites are the Oracle games (Oracle of Seasons and Ages) and Majora's Mask.

I understand what you mean, but I really don't think so. It helps me find where I am supposed to go. Sometimes, I am so lost that I have to read a guide on the internet that is poorly written and without maps. Then I get more confused.

So far my favorite is Twighlight Princess for now *cain*
I also like Ocarina of Time and Majora Mask.
Also the two Oracle of Season and time for GBC.
Those are the only zelda game I've only played.

I've played them all, and I have to say that its a tie between Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess for the coolest game.

Twilight Princess was pretty great considering how much time was put into it. I think there was unappreciation in it as I played it so it's a keeper and I'll continue to keep playing it. I've beaten it twice getting all bugs, half of the poe souls, and almost getting all heart pieces.

I need to get the Bugs, Poes, and Heart Pieces still. It's a great game, just a bit on the easy side. :/

I perfectly agree, games get sometimes boring because of these, I personally think that whats the use of playing a game and beating it if everything you did is basically someones doing?, you just preformed what it said.
I am not used to Zelda games, Twilight princess is my first, and the puzzles are strangely too easy for me to solve!, I stay for while looking and thinking of something that is too obvious! that I can't understand easily, and sometimes it's not even a puzzle!.

I totally agree withe you God of War. If you use a guide to win a game, what are you playing it for in the first place?
My favourite Zelda game is Ocarina of Time. I haven't played Twilight Princess yet but I desperately want to. Could someone tell me if it's a really good game as I hope so, or if it's isn't worth my time??

LoZ twilight princess was a nice game but ocarina of time was simply unique, and to also point out that not only guides turn games dull; cheats and codes, walkthroughs glitches all makes the game less worth to play IMO.

I haven't played a lot of the Zelda series. Only The Minish Cap and Twilight Princess so far. And oh, a bit of the Ocarina of Time and Ocarina of Seasons for Gameboy Color.
I really like Twilight Princess. Each time I play it I'm like: Ow, the graphics are awesome. x3 (I have to mention here that I'm fairly unkown with the world of Games, altough I like to play them.)
Right now, I've fought Zant and I'm about to return to Hyrule. I'm wondering what will be next. I like that about Zelda, there's always something new. ^^
BTW, can anyone tell me if the Wind Waker is good?

It's actually the Oracle of Ages and The Oracle of Seasons I think.
The Wind Waker was okay. I didn't love it as much as TP or Ocarina and I did'nt care for the cartooney graphics either. but it was cute I have to say. And sailing on the ocean is pretty fun but now when you have to go to one side of the map to the other. >< But that's when the wind stick comes in *doesn't remember what it's called* I think it's called the Wind Waker come to think of it but I'll just call it the wind stick. : d
It's fun to warp and such. I'd recommend it.
Or maybe rent it instead. whatever you think is best.

I always do that, calling it ocarina of seasons/ages. ^^" I'm trying to stop it, though...
I got myself the WindWaker game with the Bonus Disk, so I got Ocarina of Time too.

I'm playing both now, and Oracle of Seasons with the code from Ages. And, Twilight Princess also. I really got to finish at least one of them. xD

Most Zelda Manga's are cool.

The train is crappy but Epona is not different from the boat.
If anything it's more telling of the fan base.

I dunno what-else to say except, I'm also a big fan of this series of games.
Toon Link's games keep the light hearted nature of the "A Link to the Past".
While Adult Link let's us experience the gritty underbelly of Hyrule.
Two halves of the same coin. Brilliant series.

Feb 14 2010, 09:08 AM
Yup, exactly how
beastPlushi said it. Both types are good. Personally I Love the toon Link games, especially because of their cartoon-ness and light hearted nature.
Besides, isn't there going to be a new 'darker' Zelda coming out later this year (or next year)? I bet Epona will be back then

I love Ocarina of time and the rest, but I'm glad to see how WW, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks trying something different for a change.
Either way, I love LoZ series.

The new game will be coming out this year, probably just in time for Santa to stuff it in his bag.
Even though I don't have a Wii, I REALLY look forward to it. I do hope it's good. There's gonna be some fundamental changes compared to previous games, Nintendo has stated. I just hope they're big and innovative enough to give the game the fresh feel so badly needed. For example, they've said that the dungeons as we know them and the way to solve them will be very different from previous installments.
Anyway, my general feel towards the Zelda series is that it's become too easy, and too stagnated. The basic concepts is repeated in nearly all the games, and it's been like that for over 20 years. We need something new, but without the 'Zelda' feeling we all love being lost.
OoT and Majora's Mask has to be my favourite games. I do like ALL games (*cough* Zelda II excluded), and I personally found Wind Waker very charming and fun to play, and despite it's cute graphics it was still epic and exciting.
Twilight Princess was a mix of joy and nostalgia, but there's something missing for me, it didn't do it all the way. The most obvious and common complaint it that the fields feel pretty dead on occasion. There's some epic field tunes (albeit the soundtrack not being orchestrated), and the awesome adventourous feel you get when first entering the field in OoT is still there, at first, but that impression gradually drops. There isn't much to do outside the main game, and the fields are vast and empty, you don't get the same lust for exploration as other games has given you. Also, while the temples start out pretty impressive, most of them are pretty darn awesome, towards the end of the game some of them just didn't feel right for me. The Sky Temple especially was very bland.
Personally, I definitely wouldn't mind a Zelda game going in a more steampunk direction. I think it would be cool. I don't get where you get that cyberpunk from though,
Forsaken Love XD. Zelda will always be about magical adventure and swordfights, I don't think Nintendo would ever make it cyberpunk... I hope

On a final note, I also feel those images are very telling of the series progress XP I'm not nessecarily saying it's a bad thing, though, it's good with variation ^^
Oh, and one more thing; I'd really like the next handheld game to be a pure, epic, gloriuos 2D game. I hate the fact that Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are so restricted in terms of exploration, and this most likely being hardware related, this wouldn't be a problem with a 2D game. Also, 2D graphics are awesome
Katya Martin
Feb 14 2010, 03:14 PM
Personally I think a steampunk Zelda would be nine kinds of awesome.
Yeah, Ocarina of Time was my favorite too... I'd love to see it remade with new graphics, but that's probably not going to happen.
Man, I'm excited for the new game... even though "releasing this year" really means "we'll have it out sometime within the next five years." Lol.
