Ohh, we had that, too! Except that our teacher was out the week it was supposed to be done, so we ended up spending a lab day in the other Biology teacher's classroom and were allowed to examine finished dissections performed by other classes during the week. It was actually pretty fun. But the smell...
...I actually managed to adjust to it after a while, but one of my friends was an inch away from throwing up...
When I was disecting the frog I couldn't smell anything. @_@ It probably has something to do with I have a cold.

- Haha, I did the Gold Penny lab in chemistry. I had so much fun with it. I kept saying, "Take that, alchemists!" everytime one turned gold color. Fortunately my lab partners watch FMA and we all started cracking up laughing. We're such dorks.

dissection was fun, but the best were soduim experiments in chem... one time we stole 3 bottles worth, dumped em in the toilets, flushed, after about 5 seconds the oil disappates and the reacton begins. after that... well lets just say cherry bombs got nothing on sodium.
Aaah, we did that in 8th grade, too! The teacher cut out a piece of pure sodium, and we went outside and put it in a bucket with some water covered by a paper towel, backed up abut 20-ish feet and watched it explode!
newspaper sucked today but career day was fun! i had some very informative seminars this year. first, mongooseboi and i were in the computer game designer's session, which was really cool. the guy does concept sketches for crystal dynamics (tomb raider, etc), and each cubicle has a computer, a tv, an xbox, and a souped-up PS2. 
then i had the architect's session, except it was the same boring guy from last year. the good thing was that his session helped me finalize my decision that no, i don't want to do architecture. last was the session for the graphic artist people, and they were pretty cool. they also have their business not too far from here, and i talked to them and they'll let me shadow there, and possibly do a summer internship.
and bleh, the art got crappy again for bleach 25.
