- today sucked. got a crappy seat in lang, did badly on my physics test, hate calc, and ECON. adfkjafgb. why is a 90.8 a B+?! the econ teacher's A- is a 92. ARGH. and i don't get it, because i got a 95% on the midterm, and that's the only grade we have so far....
- trying to find teachers to do my college recs, grrr.
- for journalism sweatshirt, my front design won but my back one took second, and the one that won for the back side is all cutesy with little icons by each staff member's name, which is just like our sweatshirt two years ago, and i'm sick having cute/clever journalism sweatshirts (like our j-crew parody last year...). and yes, i have to vent by being a terrible sport.
- tired from making homecoming decorations all afternoon. my senior class has NO spirit.
- watched the first episode of bleach, it's awesome. hopefully it'll be like my new hagaren. anyone know why naruto 104 isn't out yet?
- speaking of midterms, my lang midterm is wednesday, aahh. i haven't participated in the class yet and i bet my grade is crap. i'm just screwing myself over this semester, aren't i.....

- I hope Viki won't mind too much if I answered her e-mails hopefully by tomorrow...
- The laptop I've been bringing to work has been discovered to have a virus.

Even if it's not my fault that the security patches installed in it were incomplete, it's still my laptop, and I'm linked to it whether I like it or not. My only consolation is that no other PC got infected. Argh.
- Disney is said to create an animation studio here in Singapore... wheee! I hope I can apply once it comes out...
- Who would have thought that a snake is so soft and smooth?
- I'm glad I wasn't around at home when the earthquake Viki mentioned took place.
- Just called Singapore Airlines to have my flight rebooked. My ECD of return as of today? November 15.
- Need to buy a notebook to write stories with, and an artbook to draw on someday soon.
- Singaporeans who harbor the stereotypical view that all Filipino women are maids are ignorant and stupid (and I was unfortunate enough to come across one).
- As an Aino Minako fan in general (first anime character I really liked), I'm incredibly happy to find out that Toei is creating "Act 0" for PGSM... a.k.a. Minako before and during her Sailor V days. And the release date is at March, too. Thank you for your unintentional birthday present, Toei! Wheeeee!

Algebra is nothing, man. Here I am still stuck on my Calculus problems, due in 30 minutes. Let's see, how should I use the squeeze theorem to find the limit of (cos x + 10) / x squared as x approaches infinity? Can x be infinity? But then I thought the range of cos is [-1, 1], so inifinity can't be x. Hmm... maybe this is a trick question. Or a typo. In any case, it's not do-able.

I hate math this year, too. The last two years, my math teachers were nice, and they were good teachers. This year, we could have had my friend's uncle, who the BESTEST, but he retired, so we have an old man who's totally unable to teach. And we're in advenced maths. He's always angry, and nobody understands what he's trying to say. The result: he ALWAYS yells at us, saying we'e stupid. HELLO! Maybe it's not us, it's HIM?
Sorry. I had to say this.

ugh, we learned about the squeeze theorem a week or two ago so of course i don't remember anything about it (all i remember from that chapter is that the limit x->0 sinx/x is 1)

but i'd trade you that for wonderful implicit differentiation, which isn't a horribly difficult concept but i don't get it anyway x__x
- i think my school's experimenting with block scheduling tomorrow, and we also have a minimum day, meaning we get out at 12:30ish....but i have over an hour of lang. and over an hour of physics. the over an hour of japanese isn't as bad.

a. Mr. Paul
had wrote the letter before he knew the answer
answer: Mr. Paul
had written the letter before he knew the answer.
b. Colin
studied his science notes very carefully.
answer: CORRECT
c. He
shouldn't have ate all the pizza.
answer: He
shouldn't have eaten all the pizza.
Pertama-tama, tahu kan kalo bentuk verb ada macem2?
write (original form)
wrote (past)
written (don't know the term)
Kalo verb didahului dengan "have", "has", atau "had", bentuk verb-nya itu form yg ketiga. Artinya "sudah mengerjakan". Soal b is correct karena ngga itu sama dengan past tense.
Haha, I don't think that makes too much sense. I'll definitely get back to you later again.
by the way, transitive = verbs that need an object
intransitive = verbs that can't have an object
copula = "to be"
so...
1. Seventeen hundred passengers boarded the ship.
answer: transitive
2. Gabriella is the best athlete in the school.
answer: copul

i finally read through my friends's latest livejournal entries and realized that not only are they vastly superior to me when it comes to writing, they've been going through a lot while i've been stressing in my own little corner in my own little world. here's an excerpt from on of my friend's entries:
So I observed that maybe she left her last house. She had a decent tolerance for humans, just not too many and too aggressive until she got used to them, but wasn't really sociable. According to other resources, I should have been able to pick her up/pet her/rub her belly/etc. anytime without fear of getting scratched. However, most of these activities weren't tolerated most of the time so whoever had her last must have done a horrible job with her. At least she knew how to use the litter pan. Sorta. Her coat wasn't exactly all that great either and she felt too skinny.
Then one night, I was lying in bed playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance while she watched out the window. Then I hear a bunch of voices. A little girl's going, "Jackie! That's my Jackie!" while another person asks, "Are you sure?" Those words put more of a chill into my heart than anything else has recently. I started pacing around in other parts of the house waiting for doom to come. Waiting for whoever it was to come and take my cat away. Just when I had gotten to a point where she stopped scratching me and started actually coming to me. Just when I was about to move her to the larger part of the house. I had been thinking about waiting until I got a harness, just in case. But no, all that was gone, along with all the money I had spent on her so far. As soon as one woman siad, "Let me bring the car around first.";__;
