- Arright, I hear you. And I agree, in those instances. You can see that somebody is bad for a person, even if he/she doesn't see it him/herself.
My point was just that we can't decide ourselves that we'd
make another person happy in a romantic relationship. Maybe you can make her happy as a really good friend. But love is nothing you can control, or choose.
Update - I've been hanging around the computer for far too long now XP Time to go do some drawing and painting!

x inifity! I'm back!!!
- Finally got the net back in the home... nice to pay bills you know?
- I got new chucks, they're solid black. I'm gonna be decorating them today so I shall post pics...
- I got lots of work to do on the board for Tombow... sorry I've not been around to say happy birthday to everyone who had one... so if you did HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

-So... much... homework. So many projects to do. So... many. You don't start off a new quarter with 3 projects. Russian Revolution project for history, biography for English (I chose to do the oh-so spectacular Roman Emperor Nero), and the weekly newspaper science-related scrapbook project.
- It's just two more months of school. Two more months.
- And I'm not even in college, yet. Heck, I'm not even an upperclassman in high school yet. I can't wait to take all those AP classes I signed up for next year. -notice the sarcasm-
-I'm feeling so lethargic and downright lazy today. I even considered dropping out of school and just being a bum. Ahahahaha.... ha... not really. But you get the idea.
-So... it's the beginning-ish of April. Should I stay away from spoilers or let the searching kill the sidekick? Hm.
-I just feel so weird right now. -headdeskfacepalmheaddeskrepeat-

-Why do I always get sick everytime I go home? I don't get it...
-I was escorted to the library by a friend wearing an alligator costume! I wasn't sure who it was at first, but I figured that there are many people who will randomly dress up in costumes and run around campus.
It freaked me out at first until she said hello to me. I felt a bit at ease because I wasn't sure if I knew this person or not.

- Can't wait to see my new bicycle that's being built... And then I'll be able to ditch my car for commuting for the next couple of months!
- Oh and dental appointment went well.

I don't get enough fruits and veggies in my daily diet...

--Went to a scholarship lunch today for the CSE department and got to rub elbows with some pretty awesome people, including a professor who guest lectured during my first quarter seminar. It was fun, and the food was awesome.
--Dear throat, you can totally stop being itchy any time now. I'd really appreciate it. Love, jack
--Forgot my math homework this morning. Thankfully, we had a sub who was having us do lots of examples, and I knew what was being taught, so I was able to run back to my dorm, grab it, and turn it in on time.
--I have been craving hot food lately, specifically soup. I'm thinkin' that when I go to lunch with my mom tomorrow, I'll be getting Thai food or something.
--Finished these bean jam-filled wafer-type snacks that I bought at SakuraCon. I will have to get some more on my next trip to Uwajimaya.

My first class was cancelled today. But did I sleep in? No, cause the weather decided to be 90 degrees, and the heat is still on in my dorm. And lowering the heat or turning on a bunch of fans does not help. So in the end I woke up and ate breakfast with my friends.
I need to catch up on Brotherhood I am so far behind. I also want to start watching Angel Beats.
I need to start doing research for a speech.
I heard the most epic story today from my RA about how a bird chased her through the woods when she was hiking.

-My eyes! My eyes are DAMAGED xD Lol I woke up and they burned like hell, my eye lids are swollen and red and they hurt. Even water hurts on them... wtf? I can't allow this! I have to go to the shooting range, but I can't shoot with eyes like this!
-I decided to FIGHT for my guy. You know, I like his gf, she's my friend, too. But she's actually not his type. This is my war and I'm gonna win it.
-I'm back from work. I was working yesterday, today and I will tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. I am so tired, I could fall asleep right here and right now... I won't get rest. School will start on Monday and I will have to wake up early on Sunday, too, so ... *sniff*

Good Luck Thalogens, my little sister is about to take her GCSE's too. Just remember, as much as I'm sure you've been told you life depends on doing well on them, really they are just a stepping stone to your next level of education/training. As long as you pass Math and English you'll do fine.
Tombow - of course we appreciate all you put in to translating the chapters for us. Is there any comfort in that a few pages are mostly sound effects?
Pierrot - agreed they do go hand in hand...but these days it symbolises how busy work is going to be (we produce/ship gardening equipment)

@Thalogens Good luck with your GCSEs and your new A-Levels! I took a 5th A-Level and it was a pain in the bum! xD (Truth be told, I actually had 6 subjects...>.> They made me take IT because I didn't do it at GCSE. xD) I wish the college I go to did philosophy, but I'll be doing that at uni when I leave, can't wait! I'm really going to miss college though...it's a shame we only need to be there for 2 years.

Ahh, thanks for those words of comfort, Chiyo, but I know that if I do bad I'll never forgive myself D: The lowest I've allowed myself to get is a B in french. But then again I chose to do History, which I will fail because I just don't understand the source paper D:
@A Pierrot's Aria, wow you're either insane, or tremendously clever. The college I'm going to allows you to do a 5th A-level, and I was going to do so but then I realised I would have no free periods and I'll probably go crazy. So I'm going to stick with four. I didn't do ICT as a GCSE either, and I haven't had a class in it since year 9 :/ Oh well.
Ahh I have no idea what I'm going to do in University, thats why I chose that combination. I want to do something science related, but then if all else fails, I'll just do English. Or architecture, if I'm crazy enough to do Art A-Level.

-Soon I will be done with this ridiculous Revolutions Project for my Pre-AP World History class. :mutters to herself: So if I finish the five revolutions and their details today, then that leaves me with the 3 century timeline, the graphic organizer, and the persuasive letter to do tomorrow... Gross. No. I'll finish up the English Civil War, be done with the five, and then start (and hopefully finish)the graphic organizer by tonight. Then tomorrow, I'll do the timeline, hopefully it won't be too frustrating a task, and the persuasive letter to Czar Nick II last, as it should be the easiest, knowing my procrastination skills...
-106 made me happy last night... Well, not happy, but... you get it. I love the smell of a new chapter right before you go to sleep (but I hate that I had to work on the project at the same time...). Can't wait for the next one as I speculate my not-so original thoughts

Apr 11 2010, 02:29 AM
I'd like to say something about the Polish plane crush in Russia, if you don't mind.
I guess some of you have already heard about it. Personally, I couldn't believe it the moment my sister told me yesterday around 9 a.m that Mr. President Kaczyński, his wife Maria, head of the National Security Bureau, Poland's Ombudsman, National Remembrance Institute head and many other members of the government (the total number of 96 victims, guess their names won't ring a bell to you) died in the plane crush near their destination in Smoleńsk, Russia (they were heading to the anniversary celebration in Katyń, if yo haven't heard about the Katyń massacre -> link
). I feel devastated - it's a real big loss for our country. I didn't like the politics of Mr. President and didn't support his political party, but he was MY President - a great, wise man, leader of this country. I think that now all Poles are feeling in some way orphaned, at least I do. You should see the crowds near the Presidential Palace - it's amazing how our hearts are united in sorrow and mourning right now.
We lost so many great people - almost entire command of our army (including Gen. Franciszek Gągor), the head of this country and the woman that always stood behind him, supporting him, Jerzy Szmajdziński - the deputy parliament speaker, Aleksander Szczygło - the head of the National Security Office, Andrzej Kremer - the deputy foreign minister and many other people (if you're interested in the full list it's here.
It's in Polish, but I guess that really doesn't matter), that I will always remember smiling and joking and sometimes fighting with each other. Luck in the misfortune that our Prime Minister Donald Tusk wasn't there - he went to Katyń just two days or so earlier. Acting President of Poland is now the Marshal of the Sejm, Bronisław Komorowski. We have to choose our new president within 60 days period.
Also, I feel grateful to the Russians - they really do everything to ease our pain - they organised the transport of bodies to Poland, they appointed the commission to examine circumstances of the accident, they united with us in the mourning period that will last in Poland the whole week (in Russia 12th of April will be the day) really, I haven't felt this close to any other country than I do now. I saw the Russians crying with us - that was really amazing and meaningful. It looks like we, People, sometimes need that kind of sign to unite. Also, I can't ignore the fact, that almost everyone I saw yesterday in the city had this sad look on their faces, understanding in their eyes, sometimes even tears. Really, it feels like someone chopped off the head of this country. I think that Katyń is now an official symbol of suffering of our nation.
What caused the accident? I heard that the weather was really bad and the plane had tried to land three times in a row, failed at 4th final approach and hooked on trees, though we can't be sure now.
Sorry for this oh-so-long disquisition, I just needed to let it out of me, since yesterday it's all I can think about.
Apr 11 2010, 04:19 AM
About the plain crash: I felt also very shocked as I heard that yesterday evening. Then I was informing myself for a very long time. It's really terrible.
Me as a Russian (who lives in Germany), I also feel very bad about what happened. Since tomorrow is the mourning day for the Russians about what happened, I will keep quiet tomorrow and show my respect somehow for the ones who died in that terrible plain crash. Too bad we don't have like black ribbons and stuff like this sold here in Germany. But I still feel very linked to Polands people and wish them a lot of strenght.
Levive, you were right, it all happened because of the weather. Oficially: Because of bad weather and the mistake of the pilot. There was a lot of mist and there wasn't seen anything within 400 meters. But he was only allowed to land if he could see 1000 meters. The Russian airport guys warned the pilot, go to Moscow or another city! But the pilot wanted to land anyways, he tried 3 times and failed at the 4th. Because if he would fly to Moscow, Polands president would miss the event he wanted to visit this much.
- a lot of bad things happened this year already. Last week was that terror attack on Russian metro. Terrible event, too.
-Tomorrow is school again. I don't wanna go. I hate my school. But not because of bullying and the people, no. Because of the stupid teachers, that's it.
-I will visit Prag in May. Someone from the forums wanna meet me there, if that's possible?

@A Pierrot's Aria, wow you're either insane, or tremendously clever Both of course, you know what they say: it's always the geniuses that go crazy first. xD Nah, joking, but I do enjoy learning. xD I can vouch for the going crazy without many free periods, I need those frees for extra work and to compensate for my procrastination with homework. LOL! I do graphic illustration in A level and it's a nice break from the medieval history and classics that I also do; allows some creativity in otherwise very academic subjects. But, I really wish you the best of luck with it all! I bet you're so excited!
@Levive I'm seriously so sorry for Poland's loss. x.x I was shocked when I heard about it yesterday, but I could never imagine how the country is feeling.
-I had an absolutely rubbish sleep last night...I woke up with an almighty stomach ache. oO It had me on the verge of crying, but after falling asleep and sleeping in I finally feel a lot better.
-As a result of the above, I didn't wake up early enough to get onto Keyhole to catch FMA...but that made me realise something...I'm more excited about the release with subs because I don't know what's gone on. I'm thinking of never watching it on Keyhole again. xD
Apr 11 2010, 06:58 AM
@Levive, I was really shocked when I heard about it on the news yesterday morning. Having just had your leader die in an instant like that... its terrible. And even if you didn't support the party, its still a huge loss to the country as a whole.
@Pierrot, All in all, what subjects are you taking? And, you're in your second year of college, right?
Ahh, I like to learn too; I hate ignorance, but I really want that free period. Actually, I think that if I did get a free period, I'd just waste it with sleep or something. I really would love to continue with art but... no chance, I'd fail it the minute I start. I'm so lazy, it takes me ages to motivate myself to do anything D:
-This french... it just wont leave me alone!!

@Thalogens PMd you with my ramblings with your first question. Heheh. xD Free periods are good for a lot of reasons...some people actually do use them to catch a few Z's if they've had a bad nights sleep. xD And I'm not very motivated in art either...>.> Especially when it comes to personal pieces...
@FMAobsessed At least you hurt your toe doing something cool. I broke my toe while crossing a road. xDxD!
-Wow...feel pretty rubbish. Our mum planned to meet my sister and I to spend the day together but now her phone's off so we can't get in touch with her to start acting on these plans. On top of that our step dad isn't picking up his phone...

My toe ended up hurting even more today. And it bruised overnight. I also can't walk on it very well. And there is like this extra bump thingy too. But I can move the toe, so I don't think I broke it, just bruised it.

@ Pierrot's Aria - I envy you! My sister would never watch FMA with me, her head aches from even hearing Japanese
@ ScarMySoul - Don't worry, my maturity level is beyond the acceptable norm for my age xD "Totally not trolling for the lulz" : D
@ Disasterpiece - Em yeah, I envy you even more xD 2 more months to go : DDD
- Back from school. Too bad my friends just don't understand what the hell is going on now with this country, but who cares about them anyway.
- It's calm but really dark and cloudy outside - here comes 2010's first thunderstorm!
- I failed my Math test. Again. When it comes to Math, I really suck. I've always been a specialist in the arts but still, I have to pass my secondary school-leaving examinations somehow, for Christ's sake!
- On the other hand, I'm going to compete in this year's nationwide English contest on 7th of May. Wish me luck!
- It's even thundering now! Lighting! Whoaaa! I love this weather <3

- Interview for one of the iPubs positions went well and we offered the guy the job, but we decided to give him the lighter assignments as his writing skills weren't up to par. He also seemed to have a fear of using proper punctuation, despite the interview being conducted over MSN.
- Have continued the project of cleaning up my room's bookshelves. It's at about 85%, but at least now most of the clutter is gone.
- Will be participating in a beach clean-up in Santa Cruz in honor of Earth Day on Saturday.
I'm really looking forward to going to my old college town.
- Vibram Five Finger 'shoes' are both interesting and weird...
- I think I'll get a new sleeve for my netbook. I'm not too crazy about the one I have now (the faux-fur on the inside is disturbing to me).
- Need to call the person who's building my bike and try to see if it's ready. I can't wait to see it.
- Going to see Muse tomorrow!
- ...And the other half's departing for Germany and then Spain tomorrow morning (my evening). Everything's gonna be fine though.
- Also want to get this in honor of World Cup (yes I customized it):
- Had the KFC Double Down sandwich last night for dinner. Was quite tasty.

--Er, so that close reading essay that I thought was due Thursday? Due today. I finished it in 2 hours. Thank goodness I get the chance to edit it before it actually gets graded.
--I'm painfully aware that my respiratory system exists. And that my immune system apparently doesn't.
--Mmmm... I'm glad that I can get XXX Vitamin Water at the local grocery place. But I'm a little confused. "Naturally Sweetened Water Beverage"? Um... I know that only 3% or whatever of the world's water is drinkable, but "water beverage" is a weird way to word it.

Miles 324 here I come for next year! My friends, who I will be living with and myself have already started discussing how we plan on decorating our suite.
I depressed myself today. I am working on a speech about Puppy Mills for my Communcations class, and I decided to look up pictures of Puppy Mills. I saw some depressing pictures.
So then I decide to take a break from my project and watch TV. And I start watching a democracy called Too Young To Kill. The show was talking about how this 13 year old boy Eric Smith killed a 4 year old boy named Derrick Robie. And I just can't believe that a 13 year old could kill a 4 year old. A 4 year old! That is a baby. And he killed him brutually. This happened actually a while ago. Like in the early 90's in a small New York town. But I still feel horrible for the families.
On a more possitive note, I like Candy Sushi

- My class has decided that we all should visit The Presidential Palace in order to pay tribute to Mr. President Lech and his wife Maria (their coffins are already there). We really don't care what teachers will say about it, nor will they let us go - we'll be there on Friday either way (assuming it'll be closed by Saturday). I guess you could call it patriotism and, maybe, a sense of civil duty.
- There's a lot of flags all over the city. Actually, they're literally everywhere.
- I should study for my exams (just two weeks left) but I have my hands full of assignments. For example, I have to make anything related to PRL
. Since I've had enough writing, I'm going to draw a comic or something.
