-UIL Academic Meet tomorrow. I'm signed up on Literary Criticism, but now I'm also subbing in for Ready Writing. I hate ready writing, but the coach says my writing is 'fairly well'. Ugh. I get to wake up at 4:30 and get there at 5:15!!... In the morning.... dry.gif
-...when it's like 20 degrees out. And I'm sitting in front of the school... waiting for the bus to arrive. But knowing how it usually is, the bus arrives like 15 minutes late. sad.gif
-When was the last time I listened to "Ame no Hi Wa No Thank You"? A LONG time ago. Way before I even got an iPod. So a friend let me borrow his iPhone for the apps and I found the song on there. Good times. Good times.
-I need cream soda for UIL. OH NOEZ!! I has none! Eh, gotta stop by the gas station then.
-Finals next week. The one I'm really worried for is Chemistry. I need to study like a crazy person.

--Got my first CSE 143 assignment today, and wouldn't you know it: Eclipse doesn't want to work! Ugh... (Thank God for TAs who care!)

--Aside from that, the mom of my boyfriend from junior year of high school emailed me, saying that she wants to make sure she's got the right email address before she says anything else. This is worrisome, even though I have pretty much 0 attachment to the guy anymore. (EDIT: And she's asking for my help to mend things between them... I'm no miracle worker, and I'm tired of being asked to help. I'm not a psychologist--I'm a CSE major, for goodness' sake! They need to patch things up on their own, or at least with the help of someone qualified to help!)

--Well, I'm going home for some period of time tomorrow, but probably not even to stay the night, sadly.

@jacksparrow: You are asked to mediate people's problems too? I feel like that is all I do now with my family and friends. At least I want to be a teacher so I kind of have to handle students problems. But being a CSE major and doing that is no fun. And on top of that we are only college students, we don't have that much life experience.

One more week until I move back into the dorms! I love my family, but sometimes it is just easier to live away from home and do things my own way.

Today I went to recheck my class schedule for the spring semester. And I realized that I have a really bad schedule. One that I did not plan out well at all. I take five classes, and I have four on Mondays and Wednesdays, and one on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And my four classes are all in a row. I go from 10 to 3 with no breaks. Knowing my luck, each of my classes will be on opposite sides of campus from each other, and I will be running like an idiot from building to building.

Wow, I haven't been here in quite some time... so many unknown people. I'm glad Zarpia and Chiyo are still here, though *waves*

Been busy with work and misc things lately. Just saw Behemoth live with Septic Flesh last night; twas an awesome show. I was about 3 feet away from every member of Behemoth at one point or another, aside from the drummer. First two opening bands sucked, but the show was still great.

Not that much is new. I'm just not looking forward to going back to school, and I really want to pay off the rest of my guitar so I can finally play on it for real! (It's a PRS Soapbar II)

Checked out a couple of other threads. I'm glad to see that this forum is still brimming with good looking people biggrin.gif Haha. This is probably the best looking forum I have ever joined.

- Aaaaugh I should be asleep. Seriously. Going back to school tomorrow. Do not want.
- My dorm room. I hate it. It's cold in there. I want to stay home with my warm quiet room and electric blanket.
- It's colder over at school too. Sunday's going to be fun, church and groceries and who knows what else. Walking to all of the above will be especially fun.[/sarcasm] I need warmer clothes. D:
- Oh man, I get my dorm high-speed internet connection back... yay. Especially good considering I will be hiding from the cold under a bunch of blankets and a computer.

-I'm thinking that's it's irksome when you pay for something to be here in 2 days but it hasn't arrived. @_@;; I ordered a present for my friend whose birthday is Tuesday coming...and it was supposed to arrive today. xD I just hope it comes on Monday.

-I also wish it would stop snowing. ;-; It was a novelty at first with the couple of days I got off college but now it's just getting annoying. xD
Katya Martin
-Well, I'm back. No thanks to gravity. Two flights of stairs is fine and good most of the time, but not so much when laden with a 50-pound suitcase, a trumpet, and a who-knows-how-heavy backpack.
-I'll probably be missing people horribly in an hour or two.
-THE COLD IS NO MATCH FOR ME for I have socks

@ Jacksparrow .... Pardon my naivety, but what's CSE?

-Just returned from my UIL (Universal Interscholastic League) meet... and I feel horrible.
-Woke up at 4:30am this morning and stood outside the school in 22 degree weather... not cool
-Ready writing is retarded. That or I just suck. My pride is resisting the fact that I suck, so I am now claiming the ready writing event is retarded. I scored a 9/30. That's like a 3/10...... which is like somewhere between a 2 and 3 on an AP essay. I'm losing it. I used to be so smart, now that I'm looking at all the awards I used to win in junior high.... :depressed:
-Spelling, I did alright.... Just not my best.

To the members in the down under and in other warm climate, I so envy you at the moment... we in the U.S. are currently in the middle of arctic cold spell, except some lucky few who aren't... and it's been frigid cooooold!!!! The sidewalks get icy-slippery, and my nose gets near-frostbitten from walking home! (I don't want to drive on icy road, bus schedules are all messed up, and it's too dangerous to ride the bikes. Yikes!!)
And, to top it off, last night, my Net connection went completely dead, followed by hours of black-out, as in.. the electricity went out... in the middle of frigid night, and all the heating options I had were relying on the electricity! >.<
Mercifully, everything is back to semi-normal now, but I want a tropical vacation, now!

My Dad bought a treadmill. And it is pretty cool and more high tech then the one he had like eight years ago. This treadmill lets you plug your ipod in, and it fans you too.

One more week until I move back to school! My dorm is actually quiet. Way more quiet than the dorm I was in last year. I think maybe it is because it is an all girls floor, and that people live in suites, and keep their doors close.

I have the feeling that this semester, like last will consist of all nighters. I use to not take naps, now I do.

Only thing that sucks, though, it will obviously have no voice acting, and the best thing I can think of for the soundtrack is using different OST tracks from other games, movies, and anime. - All I've heard about today was that earthquake in Haiti; a bit too close to home for me, and a bit odd that just when their economy was getting better, the very next day, there is an earthquake. Very, very odd coincidence. It made me mad, though, that my mom thought the reason for the earthquake was God punishing them for practicing black magic. It just struck me as pretty damn ridiculous that she'd think something like that; she's usually very tolerant, but lately, I don't understand what's gotten into her.

- I'm about to take a course in school that will teach me how to live independently: this includes tips in regards to cooking, cleaning, maintenance around the house... things I've already been taught by my own parents beforehand. The only good thing I might expect is that at the beginning of the course, the teacher's gonna give us a few pointers on job hunting and such. Probably the only other really useful class I've had in that school, but I already know half of what I'm going to be taught. :/

@jacksparrow: The fire alaram doesn't go off in your dorm if people burn popcorn? My fire alarm will. And I have had gone outside at 3-4 in the morning cause some people decide to cook grill cheeses, and burn them.

Today I went to the Museum of Science to see the Harry Potter Exhibit. It was an exhibit with all the props and costumes from all six Harry Potter Movies. I really liked seeing the costumes a lot. It is amazing to see the amount of detail that go into each costume. In fact Snape's costume is really navy blue, and his coat looks more purplish. I always thought his robes were black.

Also at the museum I saw a model demonstrating angular momentum. While watching it work, this elderly man, who worked at the museum came up to me and asked if I was in high school. I said no, and he asked if I took a physics class in high school. I said in 9th grade. So he asked me to explain the model, and I said I didn't score well in that class. But I did learn what angular momentum is. It happens in our solar system when the planets rotate around the sun. The closer a planet gets to the sun the faster its orbit becomes.
