Note to self: don't wash car when it's windy. Even if it's only tiny, I still get soaked! In fact the year has gone so far, my car's MOT and Tax have crept up pn me.

Today I was walking outside, and a squirrel fell from a tree about a foot in front me. It made a thud sound and then got up and ran away. It still surprised me though.

--Ahhh, had a great time at home! (Thanks for the well-wishes, Tombow!) Pinochle was a hard-fought battle, and my grandma and I were not completely victorious, but dang it, we had fun!

--We got literally only 25 trick-or-treaters... sad.gif But that meant that my brother and I were allowed to pick through the candy at the end of the night and grab what we wanted. smile.gif

--My roommate brought back more food from home. After this, Chinese takeout will never be the same.

@PD - Congrats for acing your interview, and landing on a job!!
Well done!! biggrin.gif (What kind of job is it?? ^^)

I'm working as a Service Technician for a food equipment company. I work on anything from an electrical problem to a gas or steam related, pretty much anything.

@jacksparrow: That was the first time a squirrel ever threw itself at me. Also you got 25 trick-or-treaters? How much do you usually get? No trick-or-treaters, zero, zip, zilch visit my house. My dad still buys candy though. But it is candy that everyone in my family likes.

Yesterday, my brother and I went to my grandmother because every winter she goes to her second home in Florida. The first thing she did when we got there was take our blood pressure. But I found out that I have healthy blood pressure.

I'm starting not to feel so good. So I'm not going to school tomorrow. Which sucks because that's when we pick our country for this project for History. I hope nobody picks China. sad.gif

I found out today that my final portfolio for my elementary education class is due November 17th and not December 17th. I don't know if I can finish all the requirements for it.

I also have to switch one of my majors, and meet with advisors to have my schedule for next semester.

I need to write a theatre review that is due on Tuesday.

I need to study more for my stupid MTEL test. I hate those tests. They cost too much and they are way too hard.

I have so much to do this month. And I feel like I have little time to do it. Everything is coming up so fast. But not chapter 101. Why does that seem to be taking forever?

Hi Quis, not too keen on Brotherhood? Any reason why in particular?

That shall be explained in the following comments. tongue.gif

I'm not too keen on Brotherhood either. Bad first impression mostly. It's been impressive on a few occasions, especially with the gorgeous fluid animation and visuals, but emotionally underwhelming.

I agree with most of you that the animation is about half a level above the original anime. Call me crazy, but I still prefer the anime plot to the manga plot. I find the complexity of the manga plot does add to the plot overall, yes, but there's much to be said about too much complexity that can make something become unappealing.

QUOTE (Toby-Chan @ Oct 10 2009, 08:46 PM) *
It's just some stilted direction, speeding over emotionally important plot points, and occasional unexpected NARM (Not that the first anime wasn't FULL of it, good lord! I'm surprised I didn't bust out laughing on a few occasions.) that has me unimpressed with Brotherhood. Although the direction picked up for quite a few episodes.

YES! The NARM is one of my most-hated things about Brotherhood! mad.gif There are so many emotional moments that were very well done, and then two seconds later --- BAM! Chibi-Ed joke. Or Izumi-sensei vomiting blood (how is that funny!?). Just inappropriate humor and timing of said humor all around.

As well, I just need to put it out there that . . . there's just way too much fanservice going on for my liking. I guess Bones figured out that, "Oh, people like Royai! And Edwin! And Chibi-Ed jokes! And Roy's gloves! But also Roy's naked hands! Let's throw as many as those in as possible! People will like it even MORE!" Yeah, no. Not me, at least. I liked the subtlety of the original anime much more. Of course, I won't stop watching it, since I do like FMA as a whole. But these are just some of the things that irk me. Regarding my Roy-gloves comment above, sometimes he shows way too much skin. laugh.gif I remember when he used to have his gloves on ALL THE TIME.

There ends my rant.

Well I am going to see my mother today. Hurray.

I am currently attending... *rolls eyes* A Job Corps center.
So yeah. It's a wack center ya know.

Other than Job corps what is on my mind?
Japanese. My studies. My family.

Everything that could go wrong yesterday for me did.

My laptop has decided to hate me. I was working on two essays and I was sending an email, when the screen froze and then went blank. Then it just turned off. I then tried to turn it back on, but the screen wouldn't load up.

I also lost the essays because I didn't have them saved on an external hard drive since I just had to print them off. So I had to rewrite them. I hope that they are still good.

So now I have to use my school's computer.

Since today is Veterans Day, I thought I should say thank you to all those who serve and protect their country, past, present, and future.

Playing "Kill the Carrier" at 11 at night seemed like a good idea at the time... until I sprained my foot. After having ice on it for several minutes in a friend's dorm room, I realized that I sleep on the top bunk. Well, getting in and out of bed should be interesting.

My Dad is going to California for a few days, I hope he has a safe flight.

Woke up at 3:30 in the morning to watch the Lenoid Meteor Shower with my friends. It was freezing, and I went through my day feeling like a zombie. But it was amazing. I saw meteors, mars, the Big Dipper, Little Dipper, and Orion's Belt. I also heard an owl.

-Okay, so last week, I didn't go to school Thursday and Friday, because I was sick. So I have an excuse for that, then yesterday I went to school, then I found out that my project country report thingy, (I got Germany) was due today, but of course, my family is having money issues, so I couldn't get any of the supplys needed for the report. Tomorrow we get paid, so my mom said I should just skip school today, (which I did) skip it again tomorrow, so that way tonight, when her check comes (we do this banking system online thing were her check comes on her credit card somehow, don't know how that works really.) Anyways, it normally comes around 1:30 am, so around that time, me and her are going to go to wal-mart, get some stuff for the project, then make a quick stop for breakfast at Tee-jays. smile.gif Then just spend all day fixing up the project.

Registered online for my next semester's classes. And the server let me on right away. Usually what happens at my school, is that at midnight everyone in your class logs on to the server to sign up for classes, then the server kicks you off, and you are left constantly refreshing the page. This can take hours. I know cause I have stayed up to 3 am trying to get classes.

But this year I got in at 12:01. YAY! Unfortunately two classes I needed for my major are full, so instead of taking an easier math, I am doing a harder one. And instead of geology I am taking piano.

My friend and I stole our friend's phone at a party. Jus temporarily of course, but while we had we changed some of the contacts to names of the Ouran High School Host Club members. She was Kaoru and I was Hunny. After she had her phone back, my friend texted her, and she wondered why she had a text from Kaoru.

And then she called my phone, which was on silent. After a while I returned her call secretly, and I pretended to be Hunny. We had a conversation about eating cake. It was quite funny. She also called every member of the "Host Club" in her phone. Tonight was a good night.

-Why in the world did I ever take a 6 hour nap today know that I have school tomorrow and I still have to take a shower? Why?

-I meet some people I haven't seen in almost 7 years, that I never wanted to see again today at that church that me and my family visited. I walked in there with my mom, sat down at the guest sign in table, and some people (the mom, and the two kids) started waving at me and calling my name. So I just waved back, being polite. (I didn't know who they were at the time until my mom noticed and whispered in my ear who they were) at first I thought somebody had stuck a name tag on me, and they were just being polite, but it turns out it was the people I had was "friends" with. I feel kinda bad for not saying hi back or anything, but I didn't even like them in the first place. Thats why I lost contact with them. It's like, if I last contact with you, don't you think there was a reason why? I mean if I wanted to be friends with you still, then I wouldn't have burned your phone number. God I just hate that. They looked really embarrassing to. Like that haven't showered in over three years.

-Writing club on Friday was pretty interesting. We learned how to write prepositional poems (every sentence has to start with a preposition) and I wrote a really good one to.
