@Blue: How about I just buy the DVDs? I don't like renting often and I like the show a lot so maybe when I get money. Also, the story is good enough without the cursing and nudity.

@All of you who hate Sex and the City: Thou shall watch till you shed tears of scarlet.

Sex and the City however usually uses the censored sex scenes as the funniest points of the episode.

-I seriously don't see what's so bad about Sex and the City, it's a good show.
@Gassy: Really? There are plenty of gay guys who watch it.

Though I'm not one of them. Most guys *couharcheandhitocough* probably just think it is a chick show. I bet those kind of guys don't watch Will and Grace or Martha Stewart either

- At noon I was ready to do anything, completely motivated. By the end of the day all I wanted to do was lay down and do nothing.. And I still feel that way.
- I was hungry and wanted bread. Then I noticed there was bread right next to me. I'm so forgetful.

- did pretty well on the practice multiple choice for the Lang AP...missed 9 total, one of which was mis-bubbled and 6 of the others were stupid if-i-had-only-read-over-the-passage/question-again mistakes. which is fine because we got about 45 minutes to do it instead of the hour the AP test gives. and if i get 6s on all three essays (i usually get 7s), out of 9 for each, i can still get a 5 on the AP.

- japanese teacher was out today, and someone was supposed to bring in some sort of educational japanese DVD (read: anime) and forgot, but someone else conveniently had Friends DVDs on him and we watched Friends episodes instead

but now we have to write a summary in japanese about what we watched for homework.
- i was pissed off in newspaper because of a certain slackerly opinion editor and quickly approaching layout deadlines, and when some poor sophomore came up at a bad time to ask if i had finished an art request for her page, and i kind of barked at her that NOIT'SNOTDONE, and she meekly retreated. i really need to rein in the cranky when dealing with the newer members on staff.
- calc quiz was....ahhh, i have no idea how i did.
- uc davis person has yet to e-mail me back, damn her!
- my school is doing saratoga idol again this year!

it's basically just like american idol, with nicer judges and student contestants. i didn't get to watch the final round last year because i had math tutor, but i will this year....hopefully last year's winner will sing again. supposedly she's really good, and she moved from romania or somewhere two years ago, and in her country she's actually a pop star.

that's...impressive.

- hmm, suddenly feel like drawing hitsugaya from bleach. he was the shinigami spotlight at the end of episode 17, according to screenshots i saw, and he looks awesome

i can't wait to hear him voiced by paku romi, what a great seiyuu choice...i think he's my favorite shinigami captain, even over byakuya

Agreed! I can't wait to see him in action (I love little badass geniuses!) The awesome hair doesn't hurt either

Current Thoughts (mainly directed towards
blueices, since she asked):
- Just finished watching Act I of
Die Zauberflöte.
- There are also Italian and Spanish subtitles! (I am a happy lady at the moment.)

- I couldn't stop laughing for a whole two minutes when the dragon came on stage.

-
Papageno's actor is quite good. Captures the character really well.
- I like this stuff on DVD. Much more personal than if you see it in the theatre. At home on your own screen, you get to see every single facial expression and gesture.
-
Königin der Nacht's aria was amazing.

Stunning virtuosity. I actually went back to watch/listen 3 times.
- Now I want to go to the Metropolitan Opera House . . .

Now I'm really curious! I went to the metopera website to check out this season's sched and it turns out that only a limited amount of tickets are left for this year's showing of Die Zauberflöte.
I think I'll head down tomorrow and get tickets for something (anything!) I want to see either Turnadot or Madama Butterfly (whatever's available)
