I thought you were Taiwanese. Even if you prefer English, wouldn't you still be okay at Chinese (considering that's what your parents speak daily)?
Boy, am I glad those days of extra lessons are over. My parents used to send me to all other schools they could think of, which includes: Chinese, English, piano, electone, math (kumon), dancing, and even drawing. I don't know why parents can be so insane. More than half of those are pretty useless now. (I forgot 90% of all the Chinese characters I learned, and dancing? I can't move without hurting myself.)

speaking is fine but reading and writing is...urgh. i guess i'm technically taiwanese because both my parents are from taiwan, but i can't speak a word of taiwanese. ahh, extra classes....i've been through chinese, math, piano (tried it in second grade, didn't like it, my mom didn't let me quit until i graduated from eighth grade >_<), clarinet, basketball, ballet, karate, art, and probably some others i don't remember XD i still do art, karate, and chinese, though, so i guess that's not bad. ballet was awful; i'm not the graceful sashaying type, i'm more of the spinning back kick type
we have pi day at school! and yeah, we get free pie, yuum. i'm guessing you wouldn't get any free food on mole day, because.....ew.
