-Integrals aren't as bad as I thought they'd be. Still, antidifferentiating by parts is not fun.

-Had a 2-hour late start today because of snow. It could've been 1-hour or even a half-hour, but nooooo...

-I'm kind of glad I'm graduating this year. Things at my school are getting shaken up quite a bit.

-Scrabble in Spanish is amusing. Just goes to show how much we've learnd over the years.

-Why am I so tired if I'm consistently getting 9 hours of sleep? Maybe I just notice I'm tired after I exercise in the afternoons... Hmmm...

-Tomorrow's Friday! YAY!

Thanks for asking Tombow:

My first two days have been very tiring, but also very rewarding. Being between 7-9 years old they are very accepting, and I was hearing "Miss Ryan can you help me please" within my first hour. Being my old primary school I'm used to the layout, there are even some of my old teachers still there (a couple from when I started at 4 years old). Physically I ache all over after running round after them as they painted this afternoon, but I am now seriously considering training to become a teacher.

As for the car, sitting on the road as I type. My Uncle drove it most of the way home but he made me come through the Industrial Estate (dead this time of night). It feels so different to my old car it'll take some getting used to. It's all positive changes, the gears are smoother, power steering etc but I'm forcing things too hard as I had to in the old car.

Its dark out so no images of my own, but this is one of the images from the advert Chi's Micra and of course Chi's Converse

- Got a 104 on my Trig test. Phew. I was teetering on the edge with a 92 B, but that test brought me up to a 95.
- My brother got into Queens University of Canadia, though apparently that's the college he likes least. He really wants to go to McGill.

School workload is finally picking up, yet I don't seem to recall getting any assignments yet. What happened to them? ohmy.gif My school recently held a seminar for the students of my grade, and one of their hints for achieving high for the HSC included writing your desired HSC score somewhere prominent. Much fun in comparing desired HSC scores and regarding a UAI of 100 as "too high". It can't hurt to try.

~99 seems to be the most common desired HSC score. laugh.gif

Blah, I need to talk about something other than school and exams.

Poor little bugger at school cut his head open on a metal windowsill. Lots of blood for what turned out to be a small graze but Health and Safety turned this molehill into a mountain. Guarding the spilt blood, covering the area, rubber gloves etc. Most of the kids asked how he was, one or two were more concerned with asking how much blood there was and trying to get a good look at it.
Popogeejo
Cut heads were always highlights of the school time.
We had one at least once a year at my primary and always got a good look at the blood (mostly because it was always the same place and impossible/waste of everyones time to cover up.)

curious thoughts ?

Yes, I manage a Dunkin Donuts and or general manager has to come do paperwork when Were not there.

So I come in this morning, everything is fine and normal.

The I start geting storys from all the workers... "Manny says BLAH BLAH BLAH and he gonna do this if you dont do this and he never wants to see this happen again".

So i disregard all of it like any good manager.

Low and behold he comes in 20 Minutes later... says absolutly nothign of what i just heard from me... and start talkign about payroll... which i quickly "go def" for as well.

The only reason i tell you this is because all your "managers" dont know what there talkign about. All the things he complained about were things HE told me to do and all the things he complained about the week before that i didnt do.... he didnt say anythign about. GM's are full of SH*T... but then again.. so are us manager.. hahaha

Well, can't call my day boring. The power my school (and the surrounding blocks) went out during my lunch period. Thankfully (or maybe not so much), there's a ton of windows everywhere, so we could all still see. We were told to go to our 6th period classes and await instructions. 10 minutes after the power went out, it was back on! Just a few more minutes and school would've been out! Still haven't figured out what caused it, though. *shrugs*

-Owwwww... my back. Note to self: stretching before exercise helps, if only psychologically.

-20 minutes definitely was less time than I wanted on a Calculus quiz. Hopefully I get some sort of credit for the stuff I did.

-Need to get my Physics assignment! Like, now!

I'M GOING TO MY FIRST CON IN JUNE!!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *End obnoxious squeal.*

I'm going with a friend from work (we already bought our 3-day passes, and my badge name is Blysse! XD) to Anime Evolution 2009, in Vancouver! We've even got a free place to stay, because my mom's friend lives right near the Skytrain. So all we have to do it hop on the train and it takes us right there!

Also, I'm going to Cosplay as Alphonse! biggrin.gif I don't have the time to make the entire thing myself (since I am an amazing seamstress), but I found the perfect costume online! I am going to customize it a bit, though. The gloves that come with it are just plain white, without Al's circles on them, so I'm going to embroider those onto the palms myself. And I'm going to bring a (stuffed) kitty with me. XD I can't resist, when it's Alphonse!

OH, and the icing on the cake--I'm actually going to cut and dye my hair to look like Al's, rather than wearing a wig. XD I usually get that basic hairstyle, anyways, when I get my hair done, so it's not too big of a leap to go from auburn hair to blonde. And all of my friends say the tawny hair will look better with my (lack of) skin tone.

Does anyone have any advice for a (hyper, unable to stop squealing) first-time con-goer? Dos and don'ts, or what things are best to do first?
Dickens
I've never been to a con- but your plan to go as al sounds awesome!!

Sleep is valuable. I miss it sometimes.
Saving_Grace
^ Yeah, see I sleep too much. I need to be concious more.

Yay, finally got around to posting fanfiction, something I haven't done in a while. Even if it's not my best, I'm still pretty pleased with myself. I also passed a part in Final Fantasy VIII, which had been stopping me for quite a while (yippee!).

The down side is that I've missed a billion Design and Tech classes and my room is an absolute brothel (no, seriously, I've got a pimp and a madam in there fighting for turf). A bunch of my friends are out of town for various reasons, so I'm left with few options when it comes to causing mischief these days. It's quite boring, especially considering that most of my other friends are still under-age.

I also just got glasses, turns out I'm short-sighted. I don't mind having them though, they're Dolce & Gabbana and I love 'em.

@saving grace- I wish I had had too much sleep, I'm only functioning thanks to tea and hobnobs tongue.gif

I'm currently looking at jobs to apply for after I've finished uni. Trust it be my luck to come out of uni into a recession where jobs in media are being cut left right and centre.

What does it take to do laundry in my building complex on a weekend? Waking up early on a Sunday morning (and being really lucky). I shouldn't even try Saturdays anymore. In fact, I should go back to doing laundry on weekdays. No one does laundry on Tuesday mid-mornings. If only I could remember to get the laundry room key from the house set before my roommate goes to work (she lost her keys a while ago).

My greatest source of stress these days is when to do laundry. This is awesome. :D

As I've accepted to do this "Drivers Improvement" course, my old insurance people have sent me a letter saying we now have to claim liability for the accident as I've "admitted guilt". She didn't attempt to claim against me, my insurance payed out in January....but now if she wants the woman can now claim against me.

This crash is going to haunt me for a good long while isn't it? On top of that the JobCentre have said they might take my benefit away from me for VOLUNTEERING at the school....because...and I quote..."people get paid to do that sort of work".

Yes, but I'm not, where the heck is your logic? They don't want to pay people to sit around and cash tax payers money, but the moment I work voluntarily they threaten to take my benefits from me?

Still to perk me up, one of my artworks was faved by a moderator on deviant art AND another piece has reached 1000 views. Considering it contains no nudity, that's pretty good.

Story time!

Being stupid, I left my headlights on while at work. So, naturally, the battery died. I had to wait for my dad to bail me out in near-freezing weather with bare arms because I didn't want to get my jacket dirty. The hood to my car was up and I was holding my jumper cables, and still several people passed while giving me funny looks, and the one person who stopped told me that he couldn't help because he needed to pick his child up from daycare. Oh. What. Fun.

My brother booked the hotel rooms that our family will stay in for the night before my graduation ceremony...except that he booked the wrong night. I caught the mistake, he called the hotel, and another threat of confusion/stress/panic deflected. Hurray teamwork~

(Of course, this wouldn't have been a mini-issue if he'd just confirmed the date with me, but whatever. We fixed it way before it turned into a medium-issue and all is well--so far.)

I think it's time to check in with my sister again. o.o

Just went to a screening tonight at my college for Invisible Children. I'm sure some people here know what it is, but if not: http://www.invisiblechildren.com

It's to raise awareness and support for the children who are abducted and forced to be soldiers and to stop war in Uganda. I was a little sceptical at first about the whole thing, because it seems a lot of these sort of organizations are just pop culture nonsense, but the documentary was very moving. I'd suggest at least reading up on the website, even if you don't necessarily plan to buy merchandise/donate (this is a non-profit organization, all proceeds go to aid, building schools, etc in Uganda).

Watchmen (film) was an utter disappointment. I didn't expect it to be nearly as good as the novel, but that film was utter crap. If I were Alan Moore, I'd punch the producer in the face for ruining a perfectly good work of art.
Chiyo
Speaking of Watchmen...it horrifies me how many of the 7/8 year olds in the class I work in are allowed to watch 18 films by their parents. I thought they were making it up until the one lad described his favourite scene in Sin City to me. He is obsessed with gore on a rather unnerving level.

I HAVE FANCY KOREAN CAPPUCCINO HURHURRR.

So I've been going to the Oriental Market quite a bit(I think the people are starting to recognize me...) and have been buying all sorts of drinks/junk foods. I have here "Caffe Latte" (Since 1997). The flavor I have is Caramelpresso. Tis' quite good. I've also tried strawberry Milkis (original Korean name for Calpis/Calpico), banana milk, various Ramune flavors, all kinds of snack foods, ramen from various Asian places (Vietnamese is spicy...) and was able to acquire taiyaki(the ice cream kind) and dango with sweet bean paste. God I love this place. If they are EVER offering jobs, that is where I shall work. Though, I'll need to learn some Korean...

Speaking of Korea, Axis Powers Hetalia is so great. I love America, he's so cute. So are all the others though. China reminds me of Ling from FMA...

Amazing...all the classes in school I try in, I fail(or am failing). The ones I don't seem to bother with too much, I have 90s, 88s, ect. What's up with that?

I smell like chlorine. I smell cleeeaaaan.

...how long has it been since I posted here?

^ Milkis is the shit. I love that stuff. Geehhhhh. Korean is not a fun language to try to learn, or in my case, relearn.

Ah, I see someone else has been exposed to Hetalia.

Prussia and Canada take the win for me; though, Alfred and his stupid burgers makes me laugh. ;]

Every time I say it, people say "Mucus O.o?" Or "...Carbonated milk?" XD

Canada is indeed cute with his swirly (that thing on his hair) Though I must say, China is also cool. I can't help but love them all XD But America is awesome. I love the air-headed glasses characters. Or just the glasses characters. I just made a Hetalia topic~

Don't worry, been nearly two years since I graduated and due to "lack of experience" I never got anywhere when applying for jobs. Plus, you're going in to the market at a really bad point. HOWEVER many companies now too have so many people apply they can be picky about who they actually give the job too. I've seen jobs demanding a degree to be an administrator.

What are you studying?
