I miss talking my friends ferrets for walkies, especially when they'd get home and just lay out flat on the floor, was so funny to see.

Thanks for the pic Zarpy, lets hope you don't get too big in the final weeks.

I'm working with the Odd Couple I swear it. The one is a clean freak and he's very hard working and organised, the other is so laid back he's horizontal and such a scruffy bugger. And they used to be a couple! They both love to b*tch too, well most of the volunteers that pop in love to, and considering apart from me they are all gay men you can imagine the conversations I get to listen to.

Packed 500 condoms and lube the other day into little envelopes to be given away free at gay bars, not many can say they did that.

No, they're not brown birds or green fruits with brown skin.

^Just me being tired and spitting out the first thing that comes to mind.

Sooooo tired. Need sleep after work, but it's only 5 PM, so that'll have to wait. At least people were nice today. Customer service is a fickle thing in terms of mood.

Popo, what have you done...?

Zarpia: Camila is a pretty name. Good choice. :D

Have fun, Popo~
-----------------------

Busy weekend. Name key: T = my brother, L = his gf, JP = my cousin, and JL = my sister.

T, L, and I picked up JP and JL from their dorms and the five of us drove ~2 hours (+traffic) to Sacramento for L's family barbecue at a park. L has a large family (15 siblings!) so there were tons of people. And although L has only 4 nieces/nephews, a bunch of her in-laws brought their siblings, nieces, and nephews, too. I didn't count them, but I estimate 13-15 kids below the age of 10. We played Megaman, Pokemon, and Power Rangers. (And "Fake" -- an ingenious game of unknown origin. The goal is for the kids to sit completely still for the duration of the game. XD ) I sold weapons and healing potions, and I cured Pokemon. I escorted the youngsters to various parts of the park, was chased with a water gun loaded with ice from the cooler, and transformed to a dog by a 2-year-old with a magic wand. One girl tried to steal my glasses so she could clean them with an ice cube and another girl sprayed fruit juice on my back. The boys kept asking me to lift them up onto the large rocks. I called them the "Fake Rocks": "Okay, I'll help you climb up, but these are fake rocks. When you're on them, you have to sit absolutely still--you can't move!--or else you'll fall off."

They were tons of fun.

Later that evening, the five of us headed to the California State Fair. This is the last weekend that the fair is in town, so the place was packed even though it was pretty late by the time we got there. I thought JL would've been more excited about it, since she was the one who had wanted to go when L mentioned the state fair last week, but she seemed moody and irritated. Maybe she was tired or just bored. She wasn't all that into the barbecue, either. (While I was playing with the kids, I noticed at one point that she walked off on her own and was talking on the phone.)

In any case, I was totally stoked. I didn't expect to be so excited by the livestock show, but my gosh, the llamas!! There were three that they let out (with caretakers) for people to pet, and I got a picture with a beautiful brown and white one. <3 JP got a pic with this gigantic longhorn bull. It was huge! :o

At the fair's exit, we spotted this ride called "Speed". L is terrified of it and JL's stomach can't handle park rides, so only T, JP, and I went on. It was awesome. Video of the ride here (but not with us on it). (I haven't seen the video, though, since I'm on Ubuntu off a live CD and Java isn't updated on it...but it should be this ride.)

We also tried to pick up JL's mini-fridge at L's sister's place, but that didn't work out. By the time we got home, it was 1:30 a.m. and we were all very pooped.

Today, L, T, and I picked up some furniture at IKEA. <3 (I finally have a mirror in my room~)

I love that I don't have to go to school on Monday.

Sigh, moving back to school tomorrow. That's gonna feel weird, even though I missed being on my own.

So my mom's boyfriend was mowing the lawn last week, and about 10 minutes after he finished, he noticed a small area of the lawn had been dug up. Mowing the lawn a again this weekend, revealed that patch was moving. He was too freaked out to check what it was, so my mom did. Lo and behold, baby rabbits. Now there's a large lawn chair over to keep the neighborhood delinquents away~

Rabbits=cute little balls of trouble. But they're too cute for me to dislike 'em.

We have a different type of delinquent: cats. There's one neighborhood cat that marks its territory on anything it can. We've tried what we can to get him to stop, but all the humane methods have been used up. So, I guess, we keep on trying and tell his owners.

Anyway, I get to go shopping today! Borders is open and I'm'a make good use of a coupon or two!

Saturday I'm planning on going anime shopping in NYC with my dad, little brother, and best friend. It's basically only anime shopping... even though I'm the only one going who actually likes anime. XD But it's supposed to rain on Saturday, so we may have to push the trip to next weekend. :\
I love the city~ <3
Naivete
Ahh~ as of yesterday, spring officially began.

Now I feel lazy.
Saving_Grace
Some people just have all the fun in life... One of my friends just got back from Japan where she was randomly interviewed by Japanese Fashion TV because they liked her outfit. Then a few days later in another city she saw this escaped monkey swinging/running through the city with a huge crowd of Japanese people with giant nets and cameras chasing after it.

It's not fair. I want to see escaped monkeys...
jacksparrow589
^Now I have Pirates of the Caribbean playing in my head. "Not you; we named the monkey Jack."

Spring? SPRING? Spring is basically nonexistant here. So was summer this year. sad.gif

Anyway, started my school-year job again today. Also basically started my school year for real. We kicked it off in Language Arts with a rousing chorus of Beowulf! (Okay, no, I'm not really that excited, but the teacher rocks, so it's all good.)
Little Washu
First day of high school today~ And I must say, it's left me with some questions.

1.) There are like, days right? Well, if it's one through 6, when's 6? Cause I'm not going to school on a Saturday.
2.) ...air conditioning?
3.) Do they offer GPS for this building? The other high school is a giant U. Mine is a square with arms.
Naivete
I only just downloaded Google Chrome.

All I can say is: far out, it's fast...
Popogeejo
It's also broken right now.
It wouldn't import my bookmarks and the text input is buggy as hell. I'll wait until Google gets it fixed of Mozilla nicks all the good parts.
I'll give it that it's fast and has some very good ideas though.
Oh yeah, No ad blocking either. Hurray for google ads
Also, what's the point in resizing the text field?
Right click > reload would be nice as well (yes, I like browsing by mouse as much as possible)

This year is already shaping up to be better than last. I found out a friend from high school who I haven't seen since grad is one of my housemates by a really nice coincidence and the other two girls are great too. They're already suggesting things like movie nights, and last night we (except one who went to bed early) were playing my Wii. We also got started talking about anime and conventions and cosplay so I showed them my cosplay picture collection on my computer and all was well and good till I realized I accidentally put a graphic yaoi picture in that folder. ._. Whooooooops. Oh well, we already talked about hentai and stuff and I did tell them I had a game with only a few ero scenes on my laptop, so the damage wasn't too bad... ._.; *deleted the picture right after though*

For a change of pace, I'm gonna whine a little...

Okay, so I had hiccups all 50 minutes of my last class today, and still had them for most of the 20 minute drive to the doctor's office. So, after an otherwise fine appointment, they told me I have to get not one, not two, not even three, but SIX shots! Granted, 3 are a series so we're just pairing those up with the other three, but still...

So, I got my 2 shots today, and one of them hurt so badly that I had to lie down and the lady was massaging my arm so that it wouldn't tense up. It felt like I had been punched VERY hard in the upper arm.

You'd think that's the end, right? WRONG! I walked out of the building, and my hiccups reappeared, and now, thanks to those shots, I can feel it in my arm every time I hiccup. Not. Fun. And I still have those stupid hiccups!

On the bright side, I don't have much homework, and it really doesn't hurt that badly, but it's annoying as heck!
Omamori
Man, I haven't posted in here for nearly two weeks, I think.

Is this a sign of my supposedly-active social life?

...Not hardly.

Anyway, alright, I admit: I re-read 'Twilight', loved it, but am now remembering why I hated 'New Moon' so much: damn emo Bella; I found that her personality isn't stable throughout the books, but I found 'Twilight' to be the best of them all (so far; haven't read 'Breaking Dawn', yet).

But, what I'm really ticked about is the Midnight Sun leak. That was the volume I'd been dying to read for two years...and now it's been put on hold indefinitely. Oi.

Enough of that, though. I should start getting ready for work now.

PD HAS ACHIEVED THE KNOWLEDGE OF NOT LOGIC! And everything else in between.

I am really going to enjoy this semester.

This first half of the semester we are doing electrical motor controls, and the other half is PLC's. Then its power systems and some other things like fire alarm systems the second semester.

I've always thought of myself as more of a residential kind of guy. But I'm liking this alot so far, and its where the good money is.

I was maybe thinking of going into wind turbines, wind energy. Being an electrical tech in one of the many wind farms that are going up across the US. Sign up with a company and go from there. I has a plan, lets see where it goes....

0-0 I missed something epic while at school?

My teacher...he's really nice but waaay to peppy for an old geiser, I think he's in his mid-60s. He told me he was going to be my 'ray of sunshine for the rest of the year'. WTH is that supposed to mean?!

My friend is making me cosplay as either Kagura or Hanajima from Furuba for Halloween. I don't want to- even though I look the part- because I think they're kinda plain-ish looking to me. She said she'll cry if I don't do it. grumbles. sleep.gif

At least it wasn't her parents who saw it, amirite?

Ferrets are so playful and cute >w< I love when Sophie hops around. She's so clumsy though, and small. But I love her~

It's especially cute when she plays with the cats. Though, it's only Tonka. Chloe and Shelby don't mind her, but Abbey is so jealous of her that she wont even go in the living room anymore.

Oh, that reminds me. I had this picture printed out of two guys kissing that I was using for reference.
So my mom is with me in my room and finds this picture that I had in a folder of reference pictures. She comments that it's cute how the girl looks surprised by the kiss. I was extremely thankful that the guy had long hair and that my mom apparently has a bad sense of gender recognition. tongue.gif

Why don't you ever share your boykissing pictures with me? I thought we were friends. D':

Which reminds me. I think I'm gonna buy my sister some yaoi for her 18th birthday. :>

My mom once thought in one of my picture of that same nature both guys were female. mellow.gif And neither had long hair or looking particularly girly...

Camila > Alejandra. :P And yes, the picnic/fair trip was great fun, but exhausting, too. I'd like to keep such weekends to one-a-month, thank you very much.

Too bad life doesn't work that way. (Another weekend summary, coming up~)

We had our housewarming party on Friday night. I spent most of the afternoon cleaning house, getting supplies, converting my room [back] into a storage room. Made some pineapple/corn/tuna/cilantro salad. Wrapped some egg rolls. Took out trash/recyclables. Mingled with people. Met my sister halfway from the bus stop where she got off, overshooting by two stops. Played Wii games. Cleaned up after everyone has left. Took a shower, went to bed, and prepared for Saturday.

One of my dad's "cousin's" sons got married yesterday, so my dad and some aunts/uncles (and a cousin) drove up from L.A. on Friday for the partying. My sibs and I only needed to show up for the banquet, but we still had to get up early to visit an elderly aunt whom we haven't seen for a long time. For some reason that only works in my dad's logic-world, my dad didn't bring his cell phone, so when I needed to coordinate the day's plans with him, I had to call one of my aunts so they could hand their phone off to him. This would've been easy enough if they and my dad stayed at the same place--which, of course, they didn't. It was all very hectic and exasperating. Compound the me-dad coordinating with the aunt-cousin (JP) coordinating--his cell phone doesn't get reception on his floor and he obviously can't answer his room phone if he's not in his room. Anyway, we got through the day. I even got to assemble an IKEA drawer in the afternoon, before we left for the banquet.

The restaurant was fancy. It had a marble staircase (my heels were relatively low, but those steps scared me wobbly) and giant brown and pink lanterns (the round ones) hanging over the stage area. The food was good and the music selection wasn't annoying. (My sister and I sang along to most of the English songs.) The souvenir was awesome: beautiful wine glasses unmarked by groomxbride/wedding date info--perfectly usable for special occasions. Between the four of us (me, my dad, my two siblings), we had a complete set for the house. :D

We dropped off my sister and her stuff (things she brought when she stayed over the night before, things my dad brought for her from home, things my aunt brought for my cousin to be stored at my sister's until my cousin has time to pick them up) at her dorm and got stuck in post-Dave Matthews-concert traffic. (He's performing this weekend at the Greek Theater, which is right next to my sister's dorm.) Not fun.

I slept in this morning. o.o I have so much reading to do today that I'm scared to even start.

set up a collaboration with another group. it was unexpectedly easy :X almost too easy!!

Well, i'll find out in a month or so how it all works out. (::crosses fingers:smile.gif

Spent yesterday and today with a friend revising our workflow (complete with flowcharts and text explanations of course) .... which will completely freak out the other group.

Aw, cute little Sophie. I didn't know ferrets licked your face like that. She gets along with everyone so well, though she's really clumsy.

First meeting of anime club tomorrow~ It goes until 5:00PM! And it's in the MAC room *w*

High school is a bit difficult. Though, so far I've been liking it. I miss my old teachers though. Not that these ones are bad, but no teacher is like Mr. C.
