My brother and his gf are flying down later this week for July 4th weekend, during which we're visiting the terra cotta warriors exhibit. I'm excited~ (I wonder if we can take pictures? Probably not...but just in case, I'm bringing my camera. :x )

JackSparrow Yea today was about my 20th hour, and yet again a small animal ran under my wheels, except this time I didn't actually hit it...which is good as it was an otter.
Do you have different gears to us in your cars (USA peoples)? Where is your gear stick, what are the gears etc? Just amazes me that in some States you can learn to drive from 14. There is no way at 14 I'd have enough power in my leg to be changing gear nearly constantly whilst driving.
To be fair though, he has said we can reduce the amount of lessons I'm having as I don't need as many (test is in August). Plus he'll now just be telling me where to go, not what to do. And I know exactly what to do, its just when I'm hurtling toward a roundabout at 40mph instinct tells me to break earlier than needs be.

I have discovered the wonderful awesomeness that is Photoshop Elements. So I've been drawing all day XD. Right now I'm working on a Kakashi one(go figure). He's turning out well, though, I'm dreading coloring his hair...
Chiyo- Yes, we have different gears. Well, on manual transmission cars, there are four or five between which you have to shift constantly if you live in a hilly area. I'm lucky-- I mostly use cars with automatic transmissions, so I normally just put the car in drive, and I'm good except when it snows. The gearshift is usually located either next to the steering wheel or between the driver and front passenger seats. (It amazes me that people can drive so young in some states, too. I didn't learn until I was 16.) Out of curiousity, what country do you live in?
(Something I didn't add to the cars at first: On manual transmission cars, there's also the clutch pedal, although that seems like what you could be referring to. I just don't like it when I leave something like that out.)

I'd always wondered about the gears because of seeing them in two different places in the car (on American TV etc) Our gears are the same, between 4-6 depending on the make (the one I'm learning in has 5). Gear stick is down to my left side (as we drive on the left side of the road). I did a lot better today thankfully, finally begining to master roundabouts, though still being very careful as so may people never indicate so you don't know where they are going.
Still did all the tiny, windy country lanes, but this time, nothing ran out in front of the car.

Something seriously tells me that Total Drama Island should either be played later, or put on [adult swim]. See, it's unique in the fact that it has a rather dark center when you get past the cutesy robots. Essentially mankind has polluted the earth, making them flee onto a 700+ year space cruise in which technology does all the work for them, making them become fat blobs of their former selves. So essentially, the message, which is impossible to ignore, but not preachy in any way, shows us what society...is essentially headed towards. Pixar films have been kid movies adults can enjoy...but WALL-E kinda reverses that, making an adult film kids can enjoy.
Or the simple-minded people can ignore all that and focus on the CUTE WIDDLE WOBOTS IN WUV! Either way works fine, really.

English dub cast for Ouran revealed at Anime Expo~ (Ouran <3)

The terra cotta warriors exhibit was fun. Not that I really learned much from their audio tour. Most of the info they gave was stuff I'd learned about in my Chinese history classes and/or the funeral practice class...and the format of the tour was kinda silly, tbh. They had people speaking the accented voices of the craftsmen and even the First Qin Emperor himself! Still, it was good to spend time with my family. My parents seemed to enjoy themselves very much, too.

I don't watch enough dubs to say anything about Ouran's English castings, but I doubt I could end up disliking any version of the story no matter how bad it is. *knocks on wood*

I always thought the Ouran dub could use European accents. A mix of suave Brit and French accents for the boys and something more generic for Haruhi, her dad and other common folk.
I figured I'd be the only one here that's actually happy Vic is Tamaki...
But really people. I think it was evident from a mile away that he'd get Tamaki. I predicted that before Funi even nabbed it...I mean, come on.

- I broke my laptops left click tab thing, It wouldn't work so I started picking at it with a knife, 'till it eventually came out ><
- I have noticed almost everytime I'm with a group of friends or people, there is atleast one juggalo. When the hell did it become a freaking clown?

Well, if I'd known he was vying for the role, I would have expected it from a mile away too. But only because he grasps such a huge portion of anime fandom in his hands and the companies love pandering to fangirls and casting him in inappropriate roles because he's popular. >:C
