Off to tackle an employer later today. I applied for a job and eventually they responded by sending me a card asking for what day and time I'd like an interview (next Monday) and I posted it last Wednesday along with another copy of my CV and a portfolio of my written work, photo's and photomanips. I haven't had a responce either way, it's probably another "sod off, you're a graduate" sort of feeling, but I'm going to go in and ask so at least I know.

I learned to drive stick off of a old nissan pickup that we found. Bough it for fifty bucks. Took some time to get the engine to turn over, and a hour or two to get the clutch unfrozen. But we got the thing to work, and i drove that around for a month or two.
So yea, they make for nice vehicles.

But I'd say that even the DVD will be out soon, since it was roughly a month for the Manaphy Movie to be released after it's premiere. But the Manaphy one was horrid anyway.

The first volume of Naruto: Shippuden(manga) is gonna be released on the 4th. The manga went by really fast. The same can't be said for the anime right now. And why must the first fillers they show have Iruka in them? I was hoping to have to wait before I see that DX.

I don't think I'm getting a call from that dress store regarding the job I applied for. Darn, I need another job. The newspaper hasn't given me any requests since November. I guess this is just a taste of what my life will be like when I'm a starving graphic novel artist living in my parents' basement. ;o;

- Spirit Week for school is next week. I don't know if I'll dress up, though... If I will, I'm going to dress as Tim Burton for 'Dress as a Celebrity Day'. And yes, I am fully aware of how many people will laugh at me for doing that. :]

Found out today graduation is the day we planned to go, the 17th.
No big deal...we can go that Friday.
However...I forgot about grad rehearsal.
You know what? Even if rehearsal is the day before graduation, I don't care. Someone can just fill me in 'cause I'm fed up with constantly wondering if graduation will interfere with my convention.
Ugh.
Tris: What about May 18? Seems like it would make a nice post-graduation trip. o.o

I was kind of tortured for the past week or so. See, I had an essay due for one of my non-English classes on a Friday morning. I wrote it up in 4 hours and submitted it via email right before I left home--with no time at all to spare for any serious proofreading. Of course, as I ran to the bus stop (nearly late to class, too), I thought of all the ways I SCREWED my essay: it wasn't analytical enough, I hardly referenced either of the two texts I mentioned, some things were worded in a way that didn't convey what I wanted to say, etc. I was so frustrated with myself. If I had just started earlier, gave myself enough to edit and polish, I might've been happy with the end product no matter what grade I got. That's usually what I try to go for with all my other papers. But no. This one was a disaster.
So I got the professor's response and my grade today. A.
As in, my grade was a solid A.
My first reaction: WTF.
Second reaction: :D
I guess when the professor described the assignment as a "personal essay," he really meant it. If I tried to submit something like that to for an English class as an analytical essay, it would've been torn apart.

Normally I'd consider it [and I did at one point], but the convention REALLY dies down by then [vendors and booths start closing up, etc]. They also close at 3:30/4:00 as apposed to nighttime the other nights. ><
