- have to read waseda daigaku and kanazawa daigaku's webpages tonight for japanese hw, and i know we're all going off to college next year but does sensei really think we're gonna consider going to waseda or other colleges in japan?
- finished and turned in my entry for the audubon society's art contest, finally
- accidentally fell asleep this morning around 12:30am, luckily my wonderful internal clock woke me up at 4am and i sort of finished my hw
- even fridays suck now, cause of chinese school....i think i'll skip tomorrow so i don't have to do the hw and i can cram for SATs. in a month or so i will be able to say TGIF, though, when my apps are all nice and turned in.

yeah, except for when we learned the alphabet (which i still don't know past the zi ci si), the basics, and now the hanyu pinyin, it was mostly a waste of 2 hours every friday night. well, i know chinese a lot better than if i hadn't gone at all, but i guess i would have learned more if i listened to the teacher and stopped doodling in my ke ben and on the backs of the homeworks

I thought you were Taiwanese. Even if you prefer English, wouldn't you still be okay at Chinese (considering that's what your parents speak daily)?
Boy, am I glad those days of extra lessons are over. My parents used to send me to all other schools they could think of, which includes: Chinese, English, piano, electone, math (kumon), dancing, and even drawing. I don't know why parents can be so insane. More than half of those are pretty useless now. (I forgot 90% of all the Chinese characters I learned, and dancing? I can't move without hurting myself.)

Same with my parents! My mother, anyway. Father was kind of nonchalant. I also took piano (still taking it, almost done!) and Kumon (pointless waste of time, especially if you master the level they set you at), and even Jazz dancing and figure skating. Never took art though.
