Vic was awesome and very funny. He really is a very sweet guy in person and I am glad to have met him. (I know his name and how to say it but I can't SPELL it for the life of me D: ) Me and my friend also got a picture taken with him. <3 I'm gonna try and get my volume signed by as many of the FMA voice actors as possible >3>

I have to be more aware of things tho. Before I got into his panel, we were lingering around outside the room and some girls were being very excited and I didn't know why until I turned my head and realized Vic was right in front of me with his back turned. O_O I mean REALLY right in front me, if I had moved I would've bumped into him. Tiffany Grant was also right beside us in the dealer's hall and started talking to my friend BUT I MISSED TALKING TO HER BY A SECOND BECAUSE I SAW A CUTE ENVY COSPLAYER. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Tons of people sympathesized me over customs and took pictures of my sign. I got a bunch of hugs from people who felt bad for me. One guy offered to go shoot customs up because he was some gun carrying character XD One guy said the picture's going up on his website, another said I should expect it on youtube.

Bought a ton of stuff. Over all bought 9 graphic novels, 4 keychains (2 different Hughes ones, a Roy and a Riza), a Moogle plushie, an Al hat, a Rozen Maiden ring made out of real steel I believe (whatever it is my friend said it won't turn my finger green), a Pinky Street doll, and a pair of Roy cosplay gloves because there was nothing else to spend that last bit of money on. X3 This weekend I also bought a cute hat, a new skirt and Pokemon Pearl. My Piplup is named MaesHughes. Yaaaaaaaay. *~~not a fangirl X3;;;~~* Really, it was because it was male, and my friend had already named his "The Fonz" (the last evolution looks like Fonzie XD) and I didn't want to copy that. X3; Plus Roy was a no no because....it's a water pokemon XD;

The most notable cosplayers were:
1) pyramid head. There's one of these at every con I swear. X3 But it makes me laugh~
2) only one Rozen Maiden cosplayer....A SUISEISEKI. When she saw my sign she felt like crying for me. We had a sympathetic desu moment. Lots of hugs.
3) a group as Tamaki, Kyouya and Haruhi. The Tamaki was actually kissing girl's hands and giving them all REAL roses. <3 So sweet
4) the most AWESOME Demyx in the world. Pose was dead on, hair was right, she even had his guitar thing and it looked AMAZING.
5) TETRIS BLOCK. I MISSED THIS ONE. I didn't see it but my friend's brother did. ;.;
6) DOMO. SOMEONE AS DOMO. I DIDN'T TAKE A PICTURE THO ;_;
7) a very adorable Envy, already mentioned. The Ed in her group was okay, but the Roy with her SUCKED. He would've made a better Hughes! For crying out loud he had glasses and stubble! >> (and yes he was Roy, had the gloves and all)
8) a fat Princess Peach and Daisy. XDDDDDDDDDDD Didn't take a pic of them tho.
9) Two very cute little girls dressed as Mew Ringo and Mew Berry from TMM. :> didn't take a picture once again.
10) I only caught these guys once, and they were Naruto cosplayers so I didn't care but I give them props. They were Sasori and Deidara and the third in their group was one of Sasori's puppets or something and leading them around on puppet strings.

I only saw two Roys and both sucked. Apparently there was a third roaming around upstairs, who was female and VERY GOOD, but I missed her. Either way....PROOF that female cospalyers are better than male. =/

We left halfway through Lucky Star. It was a good day. <3

@Fushigi: This might seem like an odd question, but what state do you live in? I'm just curious because one of my friends who lives in Iowa went to an anime convention this weekend too =O Maybe it was the same one...

Thoughts:

-Yay new sig.
-It's hot here.
-If my mom was mad at me, I wish she would just go out and say what she's mad about. I can't think that I did anything to get her mad from last night till about four hours ago. I was sleeping most of that time!

We also played a modern Dungeons and Dragons Saturday night. XD It was a....pretty whacky adventure that involved a yakuza run Mexican Strip joint in Calgary, a brawl being started over a stripper being knocked out by a hot sauce bottle, my character stripping and the whole place blowing up.

Hey, Fushi-- you have any of the cosplay photos online yet? If you do LINKS PLZ. THNX! I wants me some Pyramid Head! I've never been to a Canadian convention, but I've heard really good stuff about them.

When your costume comes, I would like to know if you are pleased with it. I have never commissioned from EBay, but I have NO TIME TO SEW these days. (Even if I get something like that, I'd probably wind up either replacing the ENTIRE trim, or sewing something like petticoats to go with the costume because I'm an obsessive perfectionist.) I searched for the seller by store name and found them Desu~ XD

They were pretty good too. Usually SM cosplayers are made of utter fail *tries very hard not to remember the ones she saw her first time at Animethon* but these girls were some of the better I've seen and were very pretty. Weren't wearing the gloves tho for some reason.

Although....later on I ran into a very fat Jupiter. DX I have nothing against fat cosplayers and she was a very, VERY nice woman, one of the ones who gave me a hug, but............dangit, I could see her rolls underneath the costume, it was too see through. X[ I think bigger cosplayers should pick a costume that's more fitting or doesn't reveal their weight like that. :[ Hurts to say that because she really was a nice lady.

There are some people who are able to pull off a character they don't resemble very well, it just takes little hair dying, a wig maybe, and a absolutely amazing outfit that draws all attention away from your facial flaws. But I do agree. At least have some sort of resembalence to the character you're doing or make an effort to resemble them.

And now that I can finally see the image....LOL. XDDDDDDD

Foosh- that Tamaki sounds way awesome! He's one of those characters that I'd love to be able to play the role of and get totally into character with. <3 Alas, I am too short, and Tamaki in high heels only works when they're doing the drag-opera.

Facial features can be impossible to pull off at times, though.

Take me for example -- I plan on going to an anime convention next year, and I plan on going as Hanyuu from Higurashi-Kai. [i.e. girl in my current avatar] There's like, no way I'd be able to get purple eyes overnight, and hair would definately take dying or a wig. Still, as Fushi said, people can really pull it off well if they know what to do.

Anyways...

So my sisters birthday was yesterday. They went to El chicos el chicos. *Sigh* I missed it. Wednesday is my brothers birthday...
my thoughts
-I start school next week.
-Four more days!!!

Anways. We went to some theme park Saturday. It was pretty cool. There was a zoo thingy, and we saw some bobcats, (not like I haven't seen any before tho) we also saw slothes, and lemurs. It was pretty cool. The park was so hot, and crowded. We didn't stay that long.
Sunday, we went and helped my aunt in her office, for about two hours. Stuffing files. (It's a lot better than stuffing envelopes)

Today we finally went to the library. We couldn't check out any books, because we didn't have a card. But they had a rack of books you could buy, and I bought 40 Stories by Donald Barthelme, and Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Writers (volume 2) by Marie J MacNee.

EDIT: I'm tired of freakin twelve year old, snot nosed brats.

Well, "close", as in "in the same province".

Current Thoughts:

- So it's discount week at my workplace, and we receive a 35% employee discount at about 5 different stores.

- I went crazy and bought 8 pairs of jeans, no more than $17 each. If that's not a steal, I don't know what is.
- I figured that since I may not be working this job next month, I might as well take advantage of this when I can.

- I also splurged and bought a pair of black-and-pink wing-tip (!) boots that cost more than all those jeans combined . . . I can't believe myself. But at the same time, I've been wanting those boots since I first laid eyes on them last year . . .

HAHA so as of Friday, a total of 7 teeth have been pulled from my mouth. It was weird as hell having to chew on 1 side, & then having to switch to another, when I got teeth pulled from the opposite side. Thank god its finally over.

-Well my temp is going back and forth. It changed to 101.7 and now its down to 101.5.
-But I'm not sure if I'm getting better, or if its cause I'm sitting in a cooler room. But oh well, at least I can say I'm feeling a tad bit better than I was.
-Cubs weren't on today

. But other teams were on, so it wasn't too bad. And now I'm watching the Astros against the Dodgers [Astros leading 4-1 in the top of the 7th].
-Overall I have to go back to work at 4:00. Even if I'm sick cause my boss thinks I'm "ditching" otherwise.
-So I better get all the rest I can and suck it up as best as I can. Oh how I wish it was cold out, that would make me feel a ton better.

They just look unappealing to me. Their shape is so unnatural, and they remind me of pointed witch boots. I just don't see how super flat pointed dagger toes like seen on some shoes can be considered attractive. At all. It does nothing for me. A slight point, maybe, but torpedo shoes = very no.

(Then again, I don't get a lot of the fashion stuff that cropped up around '02 and never left in spite of being- in my opinon- very ugly. Like that hairstyle where you pin and spray it so there's a sort of speedbump in front. What? Then again, with constant exposure, I'm slowly tiring and becoming desensitised to these things as well. Haircuts I once would have abhorred are now becoming tolerable and even cute. Though really, some girls are just cute enough to pull off any freaky emo-streaked near-mullet.)

Our little friendship circle had a bad day today. Two people skipped school together, one was assumed to have skipped as well to see a guy, one had a breakdown at school and everyone was pissed and disappointed that our friends had jigged. Not good- conversation at lunch was very awkward.
Oh yes, teenage dramas.

On a plus side, I could be getting a Roy plushie soon. =D I've wanted one for a year and a half and now I've finally got someone who's willing to get one for me. <3 Took me long enough.

Well, it appears my costume arrived in town...yesterday. Great. The day after the event it was ordered for is finished. No word on the quality of it tho. I'm praying it wasn't slashed to pieces thanks to those dicks. I guess that's why my mom called at 4 yesterday, but my brother was out and about and didn't answer. I'll get him to call her tonight. *will not talk to her*

Depends on the costume tho too. And plus....you're better off looking for one on eBay. Some sellers sell them for pretty good prices because the shipping gets a little expensive. My costume was $100 and half was shipping. >3>

Omg...

The thing with my mother wasn't enough, was it Life? No you had to knock me down even more, didn't you!?

My dad left work early today and I had no idea why, I was on a whole other side of the mill when he left, in fact I didn't find out till one of my bossess in the woodroom came up and told me he was giving me a ride home because of it. He's the father of one of brother's best friends, so he knows our family pretty well.

Well, just as we're 5 minutes away from home, he tells me why dad left early.

My brother got hurt at work. Most likely having to do with a golf cart (he works at the golf course). He hit his head. He had to be flown to the city hospital.

Just, omg, what?! My brother in the hospital, in critical condition? What? WHAT?

Apparently my dad called my friend to have her family have me go over there for the night or something. Just....oh god, be okay Andrew....

I worry enough with my 11 year old brother considering hes fishing with my dad. It would be great and all but my father never watches and last time my brother fell into the lake because he wasnt paying attention.(parents divorced)

Well, it turns out he did in fact get in a golf cart accident. He flew right off it and hit his head on the pavement. He had some bleeding in his brain or something has received brain damage, but he's stabilized right now. They want to observe him for the next 7 days to make sure it doesn't get worse, but he was moving around a bit when they didn't want him to, so they've basically put him into a coma.

I really hope he doesn't get worse.

But it's good to see he's stabilized. If it does get worse tho they'll have to operate.

So I dont have to work for the rest of the week, and I'm staying at my friend's for the next few days while dad is in the city.
