boy, I have this nagging fear that that 'Cloverfield' thing might be the dreaded NGE live action movie. I don't really base this on anything but mere conjecture, and for all we know the NGE movie isn't even in production yet. But hell, they've made movies sub-rosa before.

Current thoughts:
-Just got back with friends from seeing the new Harry Potter movie.
-I liked it, there was really cool action parts, and lots of surprises. I can say it wasn't better than the other Harry Potter movies though, but it would be a good movie to see happy.gif!
-Found out I have to work really hard from tomorrow to next Friday. Sorting out papers, reorganizing everything, and I get the joy of being the only one stuck doing it sad.gif.
-That also means I won't be able to be on here much, but I hope to the day after next Friday.
-I am so hot in my house, I need to turn up the AC.

Grr! I'm always forgetting the due dates on library books and the fees build up! I didn't even realize that I still had that opera CD out. A couple books too.

Catcher in the Rye isn't worth the $1.60 late fee. :/

I also wasn't all that impressed by Catcher In The Rye but then again I read it in junior high. I remember we were reading parts of in in class and one of my classmates was afraid to say the F word in class even though it was in the book.

Thoughts:
~I had to go Cesar Milan on some dogs ass today and it worked quite well. I think I'm getting the hang of this dog whisper thing. It's actually not too far off from the technique I was using on dogs in the first place.

~No new news on Lottie, she's just chillin' right now. Sorry to disappoint you all, I know how interesting you all find my spider geekiness. laugh.gif

I dumped her in early June. She changed way too much and at the rate things were going, it was just an utter waste of both of our time. I was with my best friend today and we like each other but not dating right now because of well.. it's a long story. Anyway, I couldn't muster enough will to actually kiss her even though I wanted to the entire day but you know how it is, you want that first kiss to have that moment. In retrospect after kicking myself, I actually had at least one or two good opportunities to, but my brain was not working sad.gif

Edit: Thanks. I enjoyed Donnie Darko thoroughly. I felt he was easy to find a connection with, as I think most teens and people in general do/can.

It's kind of ironic; being unimpressed with a book that is essentially all about a kid who isn't impressed by anything.

Oh well, on to more interesting fiction. "Visigoth" is rather unimpressive as well, and I think I'm going to leave the challenge of "Les Miserables" for later when I have the attention span.

Maybe it'll be a better idea to get some of these books on my list on CD instead, especially since I usually have reading time on long car rides, but I get headaches from trying to do so.


Also, Mini- I love hearing about Lottie. biggrin.gif I'm geeky like that too. You reminded me of the two awesome spiders my sister and I saw while we were hanging out on the dock.

One was swaying in the breeze from a thread connected to the dock, trailing a long thread behind it, and it was only later that I realized it was pulling up waterbugs from the surface.

Then, another similar spider utterly ninja-ed from a treebranch, just dropped down on its silk, all catburglar-like, and snatched a waterbug from the surface of the water, then quickly carried it back up.

Awesome.

I'm sorry to hear that Slash but I know how that is, it got to the point with my ex-fiancee that it was an utter waste of time as well. Sometimes relationships turn out like that it happens to the best of us. Have you asked you friend out for a date or told you how you feel?

I don't know if I felt a connection with Donnie at this stage of my life but I do know it's an awesome movie.

That's a great story Toby, I wonder what kind of spider they were. Some spiders can be pretty gutsy about catching prey. Lottie will come charging down out of her web to get some bug I threw in her jar. I used to have a Widow who lived in the cricket bin at a well know reptile store in the bay area. She was fearless! She would come charging down out of her web to get the big crickets I fed her, wrestle with them and tie them up with webbing (black widow webbing is very strong, it has the concistancy of hair) then drag them up into her web to feed. She was one of my favorite widows every! I had named her Lucrecia and I had her for about a year and a half before she went to the bit cricket bin in the sky. She was huge!

We told each other we like each other but we're not dating because of circumstances, though I'll probably ask her out once I kiss her, haha. In fact, we just talked about this whole kissing thing, I'm not sure why... but I think I'm the only hopeless romantic left in this world who believes that first kisses with someone special needs/deserves a moment damnit <___< everyone else insists that the kiss makes the moment regardless, but I think that is only true to a certain extent.

Current Thoughts:

- I am SO tired.
- Got up at 0500 today (after going to bed at 0200 after a 9-hour shift the night before) to go with parents to airport to drop off Father so he can go back to Hong Kong.
- Attempts to fall asleep after getting home at 0700 were interrupted twice by phone calls.
- Slept until 1030 or so.
- Long commuting today. Long story I'd rather not relay now because it'll take forever.

Woot, saw Harry Potter last night, as much as I liked it it did have its flaws. I'll explain that elsewhere.

Just over a week till book 7, woot.

Got my official rejection e-mail from the BBC....it was nice of them to reply at least. I did say it hoped it wouldn't put me off applying again. Being rejected won't, but there's just not much chance of something coming up that I can go for again. Ah well.

Got my official rejection e-mail from the BBC....it was nice of them to reply at least. I did say it hoped it wouldn't put me off applying again. Being rejected won't, but there's just not much chance of something coming up that I can go for again. Ah well.

@Chiyo - Aww. Sorry to hear that!! But, yeah, at least they sent you "nice" rejection letter, and you can apply for other positions if such would come up.. maybe it's less often, but who knows, something bigger and better might come along.. let's keep the hopes alive. happy.gif

Thankfully, no one was hurt. It could've been a lot worse if hadn't just started moving I suppose. The door's completely toast tho. It couldn't even be opened apparently. And that was our car pooler's brand new truck.

I didn't even see him hit us. I was looking under my seat for something Travis (our car pooler) wanted me to find. Maybe that's a good thing I didn't see it happen, just heard and felt.

So, I was just a little shaken up. But then I remembered how people, like phoenix, have gone through worse and I got over that. Still my first accident tho.

And I'm still freaked out by the fact I'm usually the one who takes the front seat. mellow.gif (It's always offered to me by the guys) But I took the back yesterday so my dad could talk with Travis. Kinda glad I did. I doubt being the wuss I am I could get over seeing that semi coming straight at me.


But anyways, besides that little mishap, my day was going great yesterday. A project I was given at work that was supposed to take me all summer....I'll be done it in a week. X3 Heehehe~
