disappearing? Omakase? Seems impossible in this forum. But i def miss the old times...which is only a few months back. Does anyone still talk to the older members? Did MJhermi ever get that job? And are moderators allowed to not post like VikiChibi, Rolfkase? And all the others? Dang it.  Everyone is really moving on, wasn't there a thread about the ending of this forum? Something gas says comes to mind.

Chibi Viki and Rolfkaese still post in here, occasionally. biggrin.gif MJ I haven't seen in quite a while though... Viki must know more about it than I though, since they're pretty close. smile.gif

Thoughts:
- Many people feeling the same way I do... I don't feel so alien anymore. biggrin.gif
- OK, is it just me or is everything starting to change about the layout? The icons for every thread has suddenly transformed into colored folders. ph34r.gif I feel alien again...
- Hmm, LJ's kinda neat once you get the hang of it all... Not as active as a forum though. tongue.gif
- Coca Cola Light... Fizzy~
- Someone posted a link to my story. T__T None's ever done that before. I feel so... 'happay'.

too bad i can't inherit AMD (although my dad's a vp and not ceo or anything) or intel (except my mom's just an engineer), although i don't know if i'd really want to inherit either. AMD hasn't been doing that great lately... ohmy.gif

- 5-6 feet constitute a blizzard... anything under 3 feet is a flurry.

- don't want to go to class tomorrow.

- if the book we're reading in lit. class sucks, and the professor knows that it sucks and has even admitted to it, why are we still reading it?

- I will go to all 4 of my classes tomorrow... okay, I'll go to three of my four classes tomorrow... ^^;

Current Thoughts:

- Forum traffic is rather slow today, but there is still a post every now and then. It's nice.
- I haven't had dinner yet. Perhaps I should some time soon.
- Roommate's now leaving the country in two weeks instead of one.
- Today, I realized just how much of a polar opposite my roommate is compared to me.

Awesome. Tell me when you'll get here a day in advance so I can go get all the food and drink. I have a bar downstairs, which I'm dying to turn into a game room.

That was really funny! (not because I'm from Hong Kong, but because my best friend is and I have observed nearly all of this from him) laugh.gif

Things really aren't all that hyper today...but in a nice way.
@Arche: That snow tunnel idea was awesome, I attempted to make one w/ friends today. (It failed but it was fun) laugh.gif

Hontou???!!!
I'm a second year at Columbia. (You can stay with me!) wink.gif :hops up and down:
-I've been to a couple of stores downtown, but I've always found it easier to shop online. Kinokuniya in rockefeller center is pretty good. Are you coming for one of those Days on Campus events? [starts planning shopping itinerary]

-as for Ishikawa- I requested to be w/ a non-English speaking host family to force me to pick up as much as possible
-Shopping in Japan would leave me bankrupt sad.gif (but very very happy) I would finally get my greedy hands on those shirts!
xrninja
XD i'll be there for the columbia journalism conference march 16-20ish. if you see a group of 15-ish asian students wearing matching "saratoga high school" sweatshirts in either maroon, white, or black, i'm one of them biggrin.gif but no, i didn't apply to columbia, hahah. we'll be getting either the silver crown or gold crown award for our paper, yaay smile.gif
blueices
Oh, I see. biggrin.gif Will you have enough downtime to have fun about town?
xrninja
yeah, we should have the late afternoons, night, and the last day for fun stuff biggrin.gif

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

It lies~ I know it does. That can't be true.

Current Thoughts:

- I was holding onto a pillow for the last hour and I have no idea why.
- Cabbage = <3
- Chocolate truffles are really good. =D
- I don't like the music that plays on the radio right now, sure there's a few good ones but most I just can't feel.
Quistis88
Ailuro, you actually listen to the radio? Wow . . . I never do. Am I missing anything?

Current Thoughts:

- Just had dinner.
- I want my shower.
- Finished Opera 101 readings.
- More n00bs are coming . . .
Ailuro
I can't really help but listen to it. Everyday on the way to school the radio is blaring on the bus. I try to ignore it but it's rather difficult.
xrninja
i've never ridden on a bus before (the charter ones to field trips don't count)....i've always wondered what it'd be like to have a school bus come to my house/the bus stop to pick me up and take me to school tongue.gif my grandparents and parents have always been too overprotective to let me walk or take the bus to school, hah. well, i drive now, which is even better...hmm.
ἀρχή
I live near too many upper middle class white families that force the school system to have school busses come right to each kid's house (even if they are neighbors) to pick them up. When I was a kid, I had to walk a quarter mile to get to the bus stop regardless of whether - damn kids these days.

That belonged in angst topic I guess, but it came up here

Now get off my lawn!
Ailuro
It's so annoying. You are lucky you've never ridden on one. x_x
They're dirty, cold, the seats are hard, the other passengers are annoying twits, the driver goes over the curb, and there's nothing to do.
Quistis88
I've ridden a lot of buses, from the standard cheesewagon to the expensive coaches, if they count as buses. One's busing experience depends largely on who's driving and who's on the bus with you. mellow.gif
hitokiri
buses... i really don't like em very much, there are always better alternatives, trains, subways, cars, etc. it just seems that the most messed up people in the local area always gravitate to using buses, except for quis of course...
xrninja
the japanese bullet train is the best smile.gif buses...last time i sat on a chartered bus on the way to a play for a field trip, and i sat right on a wheel and got a massive headache. euughh.

Haha! laugh.gif How do you know that I'm not messed up as well?

I haven't gone to school in an actual school bus since I moved here from Hong Kong. That was the last time I used a school bus to get to school. Here, the only times I ever rode them were for field trips and tours. I also drove to school once I got my license.

I can't do that anymore though, since buying a parking space on campus is like a death sentence to the wallet. Furthermore, I'd have to wait 4 years. I'll be out of there by then (hopefully), so there's no point. But since I can't park there, I have to resort to public transit (ugh), and the trains are too crowded.

Poor girl! I hate public transportation. I had to ride the city bus to school one day when I was in high school, and it was probably one of the worst days of my life. The smelliest person on the bus decided to sit next to me and my stomach could not take it. He smelled like a landfill mixed with too much Stetson. Needless to say, I hurled all over the place and myself. I still shudder at the embarassment.

I don't blame you. I've been in that situation myself during public transport. Last month, as a matter of fact. This guy came and sat beside me, and he looked and smelled like he hadn't showered in weeks. Horrible. Good thing I sat by a window, and I turned my head towards it (and tilted my head a little towards the seats behind me) discreetly every few moments.

Then, just my luck, some guy who had just finished off a cigarette came on the bus and sat behind me. But it wasn't bad at all compared to what was sitting on my left.
GuestHole
I take buses everywhere. huh.gif
They're actually pretty comfortable and efficient aside from the fact that it takes twice as long to get to anywhere (not including the time spent waiting at the bus stops).
Quistis88
Wow, how can you stand that, Gashole? mellow.gif

The best bus drivers are sometimes the most impatient ones. They won't wait for people at bus stops. biggrin.gif
Ailuro
Wow, I've never sat by someone like that. Just middle schoolers who love throwing stuff around the bus. I got hit by a starburst square between the eyes when I happened to look back at them one time. I've also been hit in the back of the hit numerous times by pencils, paper, more candy, etc. But now they finally know not to get on my nerves after I stood up and yelled at them to shut up and stop acting like morons. Heh, didn't go over to well with the bus driver, though afterwards the whole bus was silent for the remainder of the trip. >>;

Oh, my. Poor you. sad.gif *hugs deshi* That's no fun at all . . . do you still have to deal with that, or are the riders more mature now (compared to before)?

One of our family restaurant's frequent customers is a bus driver. He drove the bus for my class on a field trip once. Many people were misbehaving really badly, so he stopped the bus, and started to threaten that he'll charge people. He even started pointing at all the right people, too. Bus drivers see everything. mellow.gif

reminds me of the hong kong taxi drivers. terrifying. the bus ride down from the peak to stanley market was supposed to be an hour or so, but this taxi driver there said he'd get us there in ten minutes, and he jolted at 70 mph or so on the roads, swerved on the opposite side of the road to pass by cars (while cars were coming at us O_O), and took all sorts of "short cuts"....and in the end he really did get us there in ten minutes. freaked the crap out of me, though. wacko.gif

You'd love the bus, too, if you weren't allowed to ride it when you were younger for fear of being kidnapped/robbed/pickpocketed/stabbed/etc. biggrin.gif

Also it gives me a chance to practice listening to real Spanish conversations.

wow i want to hire that guy to be my personal driver.... it would be like being on a rollercoaster everyday.

Oh, wow, that must be quite helpful. I'm assuming that by what you said, you don't already know fluent Spanish. Do you find that the experience adds to your knowledge?

Current Thoughts:

- I WILL get those Logic notes done tonight/this morning.
- I am not going to bed until it's all done.
- I'm tired . . .
- Worked sucked today. Eliza cried again. She's always convinced that her mother won't come back. Attached herself to my leg yet again for the entire 30-minute class.
- I finished testing the rest of the Gr. 1 class. This one kid got off without doing the test though. He's always feigning pain (or so I assume). Last time, he wouldn't sing because his finger hurt. The time before that was his chest. Today, it was his stomach. So I let him off and gave him a C+.
- It's apparently Ninie's 16th birthday today. Happy Birthday, Ninie. smile.gif

Le Monkey

- Blogthings... my, quizzes can be addictive. ph34r.gif
- A Zelos icon seems like a simple idea at first, but... oh boy. wacko.gif Frank Archer images are too hard to find. Have to screencap my butt off for that one.
- Icon-making is quite addictive as well.
