- You cookies look great!! Happy Chinese New Year!! 新年快樂 and 恭喜發財
The red one I can read..but the green one...I cant... T.T
The green one says "gong xi fa cai" (if you speak Mandarin)--in any case, it's the other
phrase you use for Chinese New Year.
Weather report, as seen from my window: Cloudy, more so over the bay. Chances of rain--about 60%. Today's clouds look kinda harmless. As long as it doesn't rain two hours from now, I'm happy. (In the spirit of a Californian, I wear flip-flops whenever it's not raining--or very wet from nighttime showers--when I set out, and it's not
Observation 1: I need to trim my nails.
Observation 2: Readings this week are light. That's partly due to the missing Monday, but also because I ended up reading all weekend. Yeah. The weekend which I wanted to spend catching up to anime/Battlestar Galactica. I don't know how it happened.

, on world destruction: So...would you rather not know that the world's coming to an end? I sort of figured that it would be helpful that we had some warning...so we can try to fix things, or at least try to prolong the time before Doomsday... I agree that some TV programs don't know what the hell they're talking about and oftentimes misinform the public, but it's just denial to try and avoid things like that. You're gonna see it everywhere. It's depressing, I know, but you have to be aware that there's a problem first before you can fix it. And I'm not saying that you (or me) personally are going to "fix" global warming or world hunger...it's just that denying that it exists is just naive and idiotic. (Not saying that you are--it's just that people who vehemently deny that the world's not perfect are generally idiotic and small-minded, IMO.)
Believe it or not, you can still be optimistic (to some extent) because there are people informing the public and people being informed of what's going on. Hopefully, things will get better--eventually.
