- My trip was wonderful, in case anyone was wondering.
- Someone tell me if I missed anything big here.
@
Quistis-sama - Welcome baaaack!!! Missed you!!
Had wonderful time on the trip?? That's so good to hear!!

I don't think any earth-shuttering-events had happened here while you were away.
Although I was away for a bit, too, and I'd been busy and off the board more than usual, but I don't think I missed any big stuff.

So....we have company now...and all they want to listen to is my sis talk about the theatre. So i have had to listen to my sis talk about herself for...ohh...about 1.5hrs now. *bangs head on table* Why doesn't anyone care about listening to science???? I have lots of entertaining stories i could share...

@
Molec - Aww.. don't fret. I think "theater" talks have the advantage anyway because getting people's attention is their thing!!
You should start doing stuff like Bill Nye (the Science Guy,) and they may listen to you!!
Or, find other geeky science people!! ... just wait till you go t the conference, then you'll be surrounded by them!!

It was the first time that I drove to the mall, and my dad was paranoid. He offered to drive us there, but my mom refused. Well, she didn't refuse him herself, but every time he tags along our no-objective shopping trips, he always complains about things being too expensive, saying that he can find a similar product for less in Downtown LA. (This renders the gift card useless, which isn't the point at all.) I personally don't mind shopping with my dad, but my mom always exchanges these
looks with my sister, and they get all irritated, while I just want to go home. So. I told my dad I can handle it, so he need not trouble with taking us to the mall.
And what did my sister say when she got in the car? "Wow...you really crushed Dad."
....When we got home, my dad was pacing across the driveway.

@
Mei Mei - Awww... you crushed your Dad... obviously, he wanted go with you!!
But.. you've been feeling sick?? Hope you'll get better soon!!

I only have myself on my W-4...

...the whole thing is stupid. I think i should of marked down when i was filling it out that i have a crack baby or something.

@
phoenix dying - It's ok to claim more than "actual" # of dependent(s) you have on W-4.
As you probably know, as is now, you'll probably get a rather large sum of tax refund at the end of tax year (after you file annual income tax report next January.)
The more dependents you claim on W-4, less tax will be taken out from each paycheck, and less tax refund you get at the end of year, or even ended up paying income tax you owe to the IRS instead of getting refund when you file annual income tax report next January.
Some people like getting a big refund at the end of year, it's kind of like putting money into the saving account from each paycheck and getting it all back at the end of year.
Others would rather use that extra money at each paycheck. In that case, increase # of dependents on W-4, and less tax is taken from each paycheck.
Although, if you do too much of this, like claiming dozen kids or something, you ended up owing huge amount of Income tax to IRS, and then IRS might impose penalty on the amount you owe to IRS, but claiming couple of extra dependents on W-4 shouldn't cause any problem, I think, and it gives you little extra spending money at each paycheck. (And, no it's not illegal.

)
(But, you probably lose big tax refund like some of your co-workers might get next January.)
Whichever you prefer, is up to your choice.
