Yes, it was squishy and soft. But the material the sweaters are made of seems to be smoother/softer. I've seen so many stores with those sweaters, and I'll list them, but I'm not sure if they're solely Canadian stores: Sirens, Suzy Shier, RICKI'S, Fairweather, and probably some more that I can't remember.

Hello, forumdom!

I'm sleepy. I lacked the foresight and started talking with my sister right before going to bed, and she started ranting about her teachers. (The main focus was her English teacher, this time.) That must've taken half an hour. And she still needed to do homework, too. That girl doesn't get enough sleep. =\

I jumped out of bed when I realized that I needed to write an obligatory Christmas card to "Grandpa Al" -- the man who took care of my mom and her aunt's family when they first immigrated to America. (His church sponsored a group of immigrants.) I wish I knew him in person. I always feel that the cards are more like yearly family reports than anything else.

Then again, maybe that's what he wants? Well, it's been what he's getting for the past 10 years, in any case, ever since I took up the torch from my brother.

4 pm is the worst time to be driving hereabouts. My sister had said that I absolutely CANNOT go to Vons without her, so yesterday I waited until she came home from school to go. But when she found out that our dad was coming too (he knew the way, and to be honest, I'm still a little uneasy about driving in a busy area that I'm not familiar with) she said, "What? I'm not coming." I experienced a slap-forehead moment. Anyway, I forgot to get my clip-on sunglasses and the sun was either right in front of me or reflecting off the rear-view mirror...and I'm too short for the shade-thingy to be of any use.

However! I did find mascarpone and ladyfingers to make tiramisu with. =D

Woot....my lab partner is gettin coal for xmas from me. I told him that i couldnt go out tonite to celebrate a friend's graduation...and that we should postphone until after finals. And what does he do....he runs off and tells everyone that we are taking <insert name here> out tonite...and <insert name here> said that she would only go if i could go...and he said taht i could...and so she ran off and told everyone that we are all going out...and THEN he had the balls to tell me that we are all going out. and now im stuck between a rock and a hard place now bc if i back out, I"M the bad person...

crap...soo much for saving my money...ive been being frugal bc times are tough;...he seriously sucks....

But, on a lighter note...not only will i be a pharm tech next semester, but i was also nominated for an adjunct teaching position (since my last one was usurped by a proff with tenure...so the Dean found me another)...so hopefully that will go through and then i will have money and i can put money back INTO savings, rather than constantly taking money out.

And i realized like...10 minutes ago..that i forgot my notebook and my journals at home...and part of the test is open notebook...crap.

-time to go play "hide from civilization"...at least for a little while

Thoughts:
-Freaking kids! My son and my nieces managed to rip a little slit in all of the presents under my Christmas tree. Trying to figure out which ones were theirs. I'm going to hide their presents in the attic next year, with the ghost lady. I bet that'll stop them from peeking.

-another night with very little sleep. I took a nap in the afternoon, but this is getting really ridiculous. It's like someone is toying with me. I fall asleep quickly, but then wake up 1 or 2 hours later, and then toss & turn for the rest of the night. I swear, if I don't get a decent night's sleep soon, I'm gonna do something drastic.

Hello fourm people..
The other day i had a conversation with my friend claire and i said 'thou hast returned againeth" and then she said "loleth yeseth ieth haveeth returnedeth..' so today at school she said it so now most of the people are using "eths"...
We are supposed to get freezing rain then sleet then snow and then back to sleet and finally freezing rain over the next few days finally some winter weather!
@Void- Maybe you have a sleeping condition? Like RLS or whatever Ambien CR treats... Or possibly it could be a sence of forboding...
@Edsgirl- Just hide the presents next year until christmas eve it is what my parents do.

@Steel Heart and Tombow-hehehe, now you're talkin'!! Nothing says "Happy Holidays and thank you" more than being hit by a truck and getting toxic waste dumped on you

thanks, my dears...that really made me laugh!

The final wasn't as bad as i thought it would be ~~famous last words~~-but the fact that i was one of the 3 people done before she called "time" makes me kinda happy ~~and hopeful for a killer curve~~. Actually, before the proff got there, everyone gave up studying...and started dancing and singing random songs about how we were going to flunk. As for nite out was actually nice...we were only out for an hour and a half...bc the restaurant closed....but everyone had a jolly good time....i just wish i wasn't half dead and drooling over my tea

And as for the position...well, they said that they need to run a background check and wait for my letters of recommendation before i get the final ok..i really hope it get it....i actually LIKE teaching the kiddies...they can be mean and rude, but deep down...all they need is candy

I love crab meat so much. >3< Shellfish in general are just mind blowing yummy. (although I haven't had lobster since I was a wee tyke)

Current Thoughts:

- Meeting best friend for coffee soon.
- Then I'll come back home and do chores.
- Yesterday was awesome! Spent 1.5 hours eating lunch with a friend, and 6 hours shopping with said friend.

I've never gone shopping for that long . . .
- Dinner and gift exchange with roommates was great, too. Then we came home and watched Kill Bill Vol. 1.
- I bought a coat yesterday, and feeling slightly guilty for spending $138 CAD, but it was so nice, half-price, and such a great fit . . .

Thoughts:
-I got the most charming Christmas card ever today

-Ummm, somehow I finally managed to beat FFXII today, but I beat it by accident. The ending came out of nowhere. It was a great game until that weak excuse for a final boss. This is the only FF game that I didn't get to the max level and I really don't care to play again. Why did that boss have to be so weak?
