It's probably the most popular text out there and one that is quite interesting to translate. I never translate "logos" as "word" because it carries a connotation that is so much more.
Let me know if you have any words of interest in this text. I have the Bauer Lexicon, which is the primary standard for definitions and offers a substantial amount of primary source references for useage.
I also have available a Nestle-Aland Greek Text 26th Edition, so I can give you any information regarding the textual variants from there. There are several resources you can find to review the meanings of the textual variant codings.

But thank you very much, as I can have something more to pursue on my own time! *glomps sir arche*I forget that you're probably doing what is more likely a survey rather than a proper exegesis since this isn't an upper level course. I am glad to help open up the possibilities a bit more.
In reality, exegesis is very technical and boring, but by doing it, it teaches an important lesson. Basically you are doing this type of work on everything you read. It's just easier for you to do this more quickly on things that are in or near your own time/culture. The farther from your own culture you go, the more work it takes to understand what you are reading. Philosophically this leads to the important questions of how we can understand one another. Literarily, this leads to socio-critical analysis of speaker/hearer relationships.
Another point is that you are doing something that many others do not do anymore and that is learn how to do an exegetical study. This gives you an extra element of depth that hopefully will carry into your other studies. I have found that my training in this area has helped me more than I can even articulate in my professional life. A good portion of what I do is exegesis of financial information & business processes.
Anyway, there's my inspirational talk to you to do your best and learn all you can from this arduous and possibly intellectually painful process. If you are interested in more details of the process, or biblical texts in general let me know as I may be able to point you in a good direction for some items.

@Mustang-i got detention once for chewing gum when i was younger...but...i wasnt chewing gum...i was gnawing on my tongue and on the inside of my cheek....and my teacher said that i swallowed the gum...and so i had to stay after school. Granted, all i did after school was stare at the chalkboard and draw on paper...what a waste of time....
I spent the past two days looking for my original copies of my papers that im working on,,,and i was blowing a fit today bc i seriously tore apart my room, my lab bench....EVERYWHERE looking for the papers., And in the end.,..i found them...i must've looked over them like...10 times...im such an idiot
I <3 the monday nite class that i teach. They are giving presentations in a few weeks, so the head hancho proff (the one above me who grades all their lab reports and whatnot) said that i'm not needed and so she didnt want me to come. But the students all started freaking out when they heard that i may not come to see their presentations, and they all agreed that having me in the room makes them less nervous So i'll go....even if my superiors dont really want me there...i'll sneak in the back and hang out in the prep room...

My pain did go away. See apart from my feet being small they are also quite flat, so power walking in flat shoes give me intense pain in my shin bone. Alas yesterday I had to wear these shows for my costume. Otherwise I shall avoid them now.

I know your pain. I'm also flat footed >_>. Not quite perfectly flat yet but the arches of my feet have been deteorating my entire life :/ Soak your feet in hot water for about 10 minutes to relieve your pain.

Yahoo says it's currently 39 F. Can it be 39 F with the sun out? I'd like to go out and see for myself. It's probably an error, but if it isn't, it'd be neat.
I'm a little spacey right now. Getting only 3 hours of sleep would do that to me. I'm not even angry at myself of depriving myself of sleep because of the lack of foresightand a terrible bout of procrastination. Not anymore, at least. I don't think I care anymore. That's not good.
Anyway, today's a long day as far as classes go, and I'm really not looking forward to it.

In reality, exegesis is very technical and boring, but by doing it, it teaches an important lesson. Basically you are doing this type of work on everything you read. It's just easier for you to do this more quickly on things that are in or near your own time/culture. Another point is that you are doing something that many others do not do anymore and that is learn how to do an exegetical study. This gives you an extra element of depth that hopefully will carry into your other studies. I have found that my training in this area has helped me more than I can even articulate in my professional life. A good portion of what I do is exegesis of financial information & business processes.

I <3 the monday nite class that i teach. They are giving presentations in a few weeks, so the head hancho proff (the one above me who grades all their lab reports and whatnot) said that i'm not needed and so she didnt want me to come. But the students all started freaking out when they heard that i may not come to see their presentations, and they all agreed that having me in the room makes them less nervous So i'll go....even if my superiors dont really want me there...i'll sneak in the back and hang out in the prep room...

Current Thoughts:
- Stayed up so late talking to a special someone and doing my exegesis. At least I'm done now.

@Tombow- it's kind of a mutual liking between my class and myself And I got a lot done last nite actually...i ended up staying up until 530am...and then i took a quick 2hr nap..and then made it to lab by 10. Granted...once i got to the lab, i was kinda cranky...and i think i scared off everyone that i would normall talk to.... 
@Quis-yeah, it's kinda nice to know that the kiddies kinda appreciate you...although, its kinda sad that it took them all the way until the end of the semester to realize that i wasnt their enemythe proff was Haha...and for their last hmwk assignment that i graded, i gave them all little star stickers And then, we turn towards how you don't have any more homework...that's not FAIR!! I dont want to have homework anymore...i want to have non-science based readings instead...i'll trade you

Today I lost respect for another artist. I am sick of artists stating how they will not draw for a while until they get sympathy from a bunch of strangers on deviant.
'Oh today I cut myself, and if you don't like my work I will try suicide again' and the like. I can't stand people like that, who if they really were traumatized would not be advertising it to anyone on the net who will go 'awww I am like sooooo sorry'

I wouldn't consider Plushies in the same clas as mints, and noodles and cups. They're a popular and reasonable form of merchandise. They're like a staple of Japanese merchandise. The majority of anime have plushies of their characters. They're no different than plastic dolls or action figures, which are uber popular for any show (They already have noodles for crying out loud! lol... And bathroom cups... 0o So weird what people will come up with just to advertise.
Frankly, I adore plushies, and anything stuffed. Dolls as well for that matter. I suppose my love of plushies just comes from a love of stuffed animals and dolls.
And yes, they have Roy plushies, two kinds that I know of: a small one of Roy from the series, and a 23 cm tall one of him from the movie. There's also a small plush keychain of him which I've sene pictures of but have been unable to find. (I have the Hawkeye plush keychain tho).

Yup, in a vain attempt to make me feel bad, he told me that he took forever because he went to a restaurant that i like to go to. And then he quickly added "I would have asked you if you wanted to come to lunch with me...BUT *dramatic sigh* you packed your lunch" Whatever. With any luck , my Proff thinks that i will be able to graduate by the end of the summer....and he will still be in the lab....because he hasnt even STARTED his proj yet...and it will be a year for him in Feb....
