Man, I'm sore and tired from all that screwing.
Did set work today, mostly taking apart the old set walls and re-drilling them into something that'll work for this next play. A lot of the screws and bolts were stuck in there really tightly, and manually undoing them just made my hands hurt. But even the drill wouldn't undo one, and the top just ended up all mutilated. Thus, I am sore from screwing.
I can play a power drill... musically.
My sister and I skipped out a few times and fiddled around on the piano backstage. I don't think I've touched a keyboard in at least two years aside from maybe the occasional chopsticks. Even before then I was never good. I can't read music, and don't have any clue what the notes are called, but I have fun playing little one-note-at-a-time tunes by ear. I figured out Brat'ya, Free Bird, Ailes Grises, Concerning Hobbits, Tsukurimashou, and a few others.
Surprisingly, I also remember Pachabel's Canon almost perfectly. (The only real song I know how to do. Just learned it by memory from the listening/following the keyboard.)
Then we ate, went to the Salvaton Army, and I was dissappointed, since ours is a big warehouse type, but there was really nothing good in the whole place.
Being there got me to thinking about what kind of 'for no good reason' cosplay I could do next. My hair has grown pretty long, but not especially. I was thinking of Rakka from Haibane Renmei, though sailor collars are an absolute pain, so her main dress would be out of the question. Then I thought maybe I could be a sheep and do movie Ed, since his costume isn't too hard, and I'm not short enough to be regular Ed, but then again, I'm to skinny/girly to be movie Ed (And I'd have to dye my hair to match an extension). Then I thought about being Misa-chan fro Death Note. I think that one would work out, and it'd be fun, because she gets awesome outfits. I can't remember any in detail (I have a wierd habit of overlooking details in things like that), but I could probably get away with any old sexy EGL outfit and dying my hair lighter and pass it off as Misa.
I also thought maybe Mireille would be easy. Just a black skirt, belt, a red sweater, black boots and a water gun and some cathedral to pose in front of. 'Cept my hair's too short for that, and I don't have a.... womanly figure.
So... I dunno. No cosplay for Toby.
