He didn't. Rob Marshall directed it. Spielberg was the producer. Big difference.

The other day I watched Charlie Rose interviewing Rob Marshall, and talking about the making of Memoirs of a Geisha movie, including about the casting.
(BTW, he did choreography for the movie Chicago..)
It was interesting to know some of his thoughts on the movie.

I still can't believe we had school today when..
-The Edison Township Board of Education was closed (the office)
-all the other schools in New Jersey didn't have school
-my mom didn't have to go to work
-everyone else in the US (that I know of) didn't have to go to school!!

*School's tomorrow and my sleeping schedule is way off...I've been going to sleep at like 5:30 but that's actually when I get up for school...I've been waking up about 2 and that's actually when I get home from school...

*Yay! Anshi comes home tomorrow! So I can stop whining about her

*I can't stay on long today and it sucks *le sigh* Oh well, least I can get some time to color.

- Well, since both my mother and I are procrastinators by nature, we ended up driving to the train station in New Brunswick to catch a later train, which happened to be on the Express route, so it only took like 50 minutes to reach NYC-ishy and we arrived before 1 PM. smile.gif;

- We managed to locate Book-Off-ishy (a used Japanese bookstore-ish) and I spent several hours wandering around. >3 Dang it, why is it that I never actually manage to get ahold of 90% of the stuffy I'm specifically looking for in that store? XD I still picked up $30 of various shoujo manga and CD-ishys, though.

- Gahahaha, it was raining when we left Book-Off at 5:30! laugh.gif We forgot umbrella-ishys, whoo. X3

- After that, we decided to head down to Chinatown to find something to eat before returning to the train station. Somehow we ended up dragging around extra bags of groceries before actually finding a random resturaunt. :3

- Mwar, my arm got caught in the subway door at one point. XD I wasn't too sure what to do and was thinking 'Er, maybe it'll open back up automatically once it realizes something's stuck in it (._.),' but it didn't, so some nearby bystanders ran over and like pried the door open before squeezing in themselves....>D

- Apparently three scheduled stops at Penn Station were cancelled, so we had to wait about 40 minutes before taking the 8:03 train back to NJ. rolleyes.gif

- Aww, there's school tomorrow...

Don't you just hate when things like that happen? >D I always get so panicky at subways, airports, or train stations...it's probably because once I accidentally stepped off the cart in a subway that had my family on it. >_o I was alone in the station for like fifteen minutes before my family came back to find me. It was horrible...I could see them going in the cart, but I wasn't able to do anything to stop it. *was totally scarred for life and began hating all transportation stations from that point on*

Oh wow, that stinks. >_o How old were you at the time? I'm actually not too panicky with trains and aiports anymore, but I worry about missing a stop or getting off at the wrong one and have to keep scrutinizing the subway map all the time....>D

They're always at it in the gallery. I actually threatened to baninate a couple of them because they had 700+ comments in one pic with just the two gits chatting about nonsense. Also, I found a pic with a similar problem that had 2442 comments. It seems when the pic has that many comments it doesn't open anymore so I had to go delete all of that BS.

-I had a good sloth filled three days though. I stocked up pretty well, I only had to leave the house once, which was fine because it was raining so I really had no reason to.

-I wish I would have gotten more done but on the other hand I fell very rested.

-After I make this here pho I think I'm going to watch yet more Nip/Tuck. I'm totally addicted to that show!

-I suck at yaoi searches online. I couldn't find anything good and no Ed x Envy what so ever. All the FMA yaoi I did find is in the gallery, well the stuff I could post there anyway.

No, two were in the movie section, I can't remember where the 2442 one was, I stumbled upon it while looking for a trouble maker. Yeah, I was bored this weekend.

-Why the hell do they have to put splenda in everything now a days. I'll be so glad when this carb fad is over. I have to study a drink before I buy it now a days since it's usually listed in small letters so people like me don't realized they're about to buy something that tastes like ass.

-This loganberry drink tastes like crap for the aforementioned reasons.

-What have I, what have I, what have I done to deserve this.

Aww...playtime during my winter break is over...i'm due back in my thesis lab again tomorrow. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. *insert sad violin music here* sad.gif

On the bright side, I guess being stuck in the lab will deter me from spending my money needlessly...that's sort of a good thing. But my school's right by one of the BIGGEST malls in the area....hmm....what a dilemma

I hate Splenda...It tastes horrible...I'd rather get fat eating stuff that tastes good than eat that junk ugh

I got to stay home from school today but I must say I'd rather feel good and go to school than get another cold. Maybe it's the flu and I just don't realize it...hm...
