yeah, i suck at calculus. it's pretty hard, but for some reason i like it a lot better than trig, which is a lower-level math compared to calc, and calc builds on a lot of trig ideas. maybe it's because i'm older now (only a year though) but i seem to grasp the concepts a little quicker. it's a little more fun than trig....maybe it's because of the teacher, dunno.

but i went to sleep at 3:45 yesterday, around the 3:30 i predicted, and i got up at 7:15 so i'm a little tired. every time my econ teacher paused our video to comment, i'd smack my head face down onto my gloves on the desk and take a little 1 minute nap. which actually helped, because i was awake for his ranting about how "in college you'll have to be able to write term papers overnight and just pull them out of your--" pause, as he grasps for another word other than "ass" or "butt crack." then i supplied "pocket," so he used that and continued the rant
- all these art requests for newspaper and layouts to help out on because of incompetent section eds. makes me feel loved, though, i wouldn't have so many people telling me "OMG THANKS YOU'RE A GOD. DESS." so often
;; got the estimate for the NY journalism conference too, luckily it got cut down from $1100 to $800. NY is so damn expensive, the DC conference last year was only $500 or $600. it was also 2 days shorter and DC in general is a lot cheaper than NY.

- my communications teacher let me make up my speech today, which was nice of him. I actually went to the full 10 minutes as well, so that makes me happy.
- I wonder if I'll get any sleep tonight. Maybe sis will give me one of her sleepy pills, lol. ... if she comes home tonight.

thanks. I didn't think I'd make it, given my topic was hard to find information for, but I did it. And I think I made a good impression on the teacher.

Good impressions are always wonderful. Are you allowed to talk faster to compensate for the smaller amount of time? Do they give you a set speed?
I just made a new goal in life: To not piss my girlfriend off. Because you see, she knows Tai-Kwon-Do. And she just made it into the Leadership club. So now she gets to go into tournaments. Also, she now has a Bo Staff, Kamas, and she gets to learn Extreme Martial Arts (XMA).
