I was looking for something and stumbled upon a super hero called Black Lightning. I immediately associated him with Static. I also found a hero created after Black Lightning called Black Vulcan. I noticed that in the first episode of Static Shock, Virgil wore an outfit very similar to that *probably a comical reference to any DC geeks who actually know who Black Vulcan is*. So basically, DC Comics likes to recycle the same idea of a black super hero with electrical powers biggrin.gif I am sure all of you found this useless discovery interesting... *rolls away*

Warning- the following anecdote is totally pointless and maybe cute if you're a bizarre freak (like me.)

As I sat around with my friends, watching some TV, and having a good time, Shelby found a boxelder bug on the couch she was sitting on, shrieked, and asked for a tissue to pick it up and throw it away with. My mom gave her a rag, but I told her not to throw it out and give it to me, because I think the bugs are cute. (Both Kate and shelby are a-scared of them.)

She found another one and gave it to me, and they crawled happily on my hands. The first one was little, and missing one leg, so I named him 'Ed.' Then I noticed the bigger one when he approached Ed, started to poke and push him, and so while it's totally out of context, I gave him the name of the first meanie-jerk character that came to mind, which for some reason, was Sasuke. So I declared to the others that Sasuke was giving Ed a noogie, and that is not very nice, so I separated them. The fact that I gave them those names even struck me as odd, but it was kind of fun to say. "Sasuke, stop picking on the invalid!" Then when he wasn't being a meanie-jerk to Ed, he started licking my finger. None of the box-elder bugs I've held before have ever done that. It kind of itched. So I poked him and told him to cut that out. So he continued trudging, and went back to pick on Edo. Kate and Shelby found this funny, but refused to let my put my evil cretin-insect covered hands near them. The wusses.

As time passed and I watched them crawl around, I started to think that maybe in the context, the meanie-jerk bug should be called Roy, or maybe Envy or someone else who actually picks on Ed. I figured Envy would be best, since Roy's a verbal meanie, and just as I made that decision, meanie-jerk bug went and crawled on top of Edo-bug's back. It wasn't anything aside from plainly standing on his back, piggy-back ride style (No, there was no mating activity involved) but it looked funny as crap, and I felt bad for poor Ed-bug.

Now that leads me to wonder; who was it who was really seme-ing Ed, then; Envy or Sasuke?

On further investigation: I think Box Elder Bugs are icky XP but I would still shake hands with you if you touched them.

That would be great. I remember when I was younger and still really into the series, I tried drawing anime versions of Drako, Harry and such, but they were no good XP I am sure your Harry Potter fanarts are nice though :3

Ahaha. I love those. But they die in a matter of seconds when they have soapy water squirted on them.

There's a time of the year here when they swarm. Thousands everywhere. So I'm there with my squirtbottle filled with soapy water killing all the ones around the doorframe to my house. ph34r.gif

How? Quite easily. Their knees bend straight down at ninety degree angles, and they lift them up all marchy-like, which by human standards, looks so nerdy and cute.

The doujinshi aren't mine. (Actually never made HP fan-art/fic... or really bothered to keep reading the series.) I picked them up for about 200 yen a book in Mandarake's used doujinshi section, just cause they were so insufferably cute. <3

Aily- ohmy.gif ! Meanie! I guess they get to be a nuisance in large numbers, but our house only has them scattered-ly so they're fun to watch. They don't eat anything in the house like ants, and they don't bite or stink like ladybugs. I've seen firsthand the effects of soapy water, or just any water for that matter. I've seen them on their backs in little wet spots on the bathroom counter (That gather when you slpash water onto the soapdish-groove when you wash your hands splashily like I do) kicking their legs around in the air helplessly stuck in the water. They're so pitiful, I always have to pick them up and set them on a dresser or table where they can dry their wings off.

I have never been bitten or been 'stinked on' by a lady bug. I hope all of your precious box elder bugs get eaten by some giant, disgusting cockaroach or sewer rat dry.gif

Fat Fly v.2.0 is struggling up mei's window-glass. It's trying to climb up (since, apparently, it's a lot of work to fly) but it keeps falling...and it starts working up all over again. Mei would like to evict it, but it's just so amusing to watch...and she suspects it would go SPLAT! on the sidewalk if she were to send it out the window.

Mei regrets deleting the themes to Point of No Return and Golden Faith (TVB drama series) from her computing...she really wants to listen to them right now...

Wow. Fat Fly v.2.0 went up about a foot and a half. Pretty good, for its bulk.

Yes, but she was the one roommate who came back about 2 weeks ago, stayed for 2 weeks and left again. I have no complaints about her. She's 28 years old, for goodness sakes, so she knows how to clean up after herself. smile.gif

Current Thoughts:

- Yeah, my mother doesn't like how it seems like I'm the servant of the house either.
- Finished all of my Christmas shopping! Except for one more person.
- Now I have to wrap everything, then I will feel so much better.
- But I am still stressed. This feeling never really disappears.
- Must cook dinner soon . . .

Well, chalk up another day wasted diligently dedicated to studying and homework....and preparing for a nite of the same thing....imagine my delight. But in on a happier note, i can take a break to watch FMA in 1hr 15minutes...yay laugh.gif

I just bought another quart of eggnog today (only time i left the house), only to have my father come home and dump congac in it..WAhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Now i can't even drink the nog..it just sits in the fridge and taunts me..... sad.gif

Celes! Grrr, now I know what happens.
Not really. My friend who introduced me to it (Fini) told me the same thing and I was angry at first. But then she said it happens pretty early on (like in the 4th volume or sooner or something...) and that it really wasn't much of a spoiler. Yes, but she was the one roommate who came back about 2 weeks ago, stayed for 2 weeks and left again. I have no complaints about her. She's 28 years old, for goodness sakes, so she knows how to clean up after herself. smile.gif

Wow, the bookstore at my mall has a pretty OK manga collection now, though, I still won't buy any laugh.gif I am just glad to see them have some decent stuff for newbies to read ^^

I had to get a foreign author... and my dad was rushing me, and I was already aggravated. I asked the lady at the counter, but she had a line to take care of so she wasn't much help, so when in doubt, I turned to mystery, looked under C... Yeah, I have read a few Agatha Christies, but she is the only good foriegn author I can almost undoubtedly rely on for a good read. *sorry if that makes me sound ill read, but I am* Here goes, I think my 5th or 6th Christie book, yet another Poiret adventure. *raises wine glass for a cheer, which is actually filled with Welch's*

I guess I should head off to bed. I know I complain about going to church almost bi-weekly, but I still fail to see the point of imposing something on me which I clearly reject. Rawr, darn conservative relatives.

ARGH!!! my little brother and his friend are SOOOO going to die!!!! I get online and there is this IM waiting for me, and i answer it...and they say that it is someone from this forum...and that they are a hacker...and that they hacked into my computer...and started rambling on info about me and my family! and then i started to get freaked out and started running around the house panic stricken that a hacker broke into my computer and knew everything about me. And then my brother came online and the hacker knew everything that i was typing to my brother because he said that he could see everything on my moniter and that really creeped me out and then he told me my brother's SSN#, and i flipped.

But then i eventually caught a flaw in his story and I found out it was my little brother and his friend pulling a prank on me!!!! ARRGGGHH!!!!! The next chance i get, i am sooo going back to Montana...armed with a blunt object(i kinda feel the urge to wield something like a wrench like Winry)...and they will BOTH feel my wrath!!!! mad.gif

Oh I know but it's just been ticking me off because she always bothers me about the large amount of water I drink daily. I printed up two pages on how water helps you lose weight and I'm about to rub it in her face how she's wrong!!

They get in the house, crawl on everything, get into everything, etc. Even in the shower there's at least 5 or so. So you can't help but step on one in the house. But luckily, it only lasts for about a week or two. Now don't get me wrong, I love the little things, they just get very tiring after the first couple hundred. xP
