Saikin no Omoi-tachi (AKA More Fencing Rants):

- Yarr, the scrubby freshmen foil are so freaking slow with putting their equipment on~! >D Electric equipment would be a different story, but does it really take like six minutes to put on a BP-ishy, plastron, fencing jacket and glove?

- Diana (girl's team captain, and also foil squad leader) had to leave early on Tuesday, so she told Hilary-san and I to take over for the remainder of practice. *shifty eyes* We each had one instance of yelling random stuffy at the scrubby freshmen for being unpunctual. >3

- My attacking seriously needs work.

- We had this interesting exercise of fencing free bouts without being allowed to move our feet at all. It was pretty tricky, since I rely on footwork a lot to cover for my lousy point control. XD

- The second coach continues to dish out evil exercises every so often. || At the end of practice on Tuesday, he made everyone do 20 pushups, 20 squat jumps (I only got to doing 14....>D), and then another 20 pushups right after. It was kind of painful...x.X

- Ahaha, foil got to fence electric on Wednesday...except that all the girl's foils except for Diana congregated at one strip, and no one else in the group really knows how to direct at all (except for Megan-san, who conveniently ran off XD), so I got to direct practically every bout on that strip for over an hour and only got to actually fence 2.5 bouts. >D

- ...at least it seems I've improved slightly from last year! I lost my first electric bout of the year 5-3 (instead of 5-0 XD), which isn't too horrid. ; I also fenced one of the random freshmen and won 5-1... it should have been 5-0; why does no one know what a beat attack looks like? >P

- My new electric foil is lovely..... *hugs Kouka-chon*

- I was flicked on one of my right fingers in a free bout yesterday.... It kind of stung for a minute, but I've been whacked much harder on the exact same finger before, so it wasn't too bad.

- The Physics lab on Wednesday was for calculating power, and consisted of each group having someone walk and run up a flight of stairs with and without their backpack on...as such, designated runners had to have themselves and their backpacks weighed earlier during the day...My backpack is supposedly 15.25 pounds (not including thta Physics textbook I always carry around lovingly >P), which is somewhere towards the light end, apparently.

I've been drawing a lot of christmasy stuff lately. I oughtta scan.

Argh. So, the other day when me and my friends made a buttload of sugar cookies (which I don't like) and some chocolate chip cookies for the side, so I could have some just plain enjoyable cookies, my retard stepdad took them all before I got the chance to eat one. So the next day I went with my friends, bought my own flipping cookie dough so I could have a batch of cookies to share and, you know, eat for a while, and I made certain to split out the dough in small portions, so there would be an army of mini-cookies, therefore if another glutton wanted them all for himself, they would be tricked into thinking they were getting more by taking lots of little cookies. (I employ psychological tactics for the protection of my cookies.)

So I made the first batch, then I set the last five cookie dough balls in the oven to bake and went to goof off with my friends and watch some tv. Came up ten minutes later and more than half the first batch was already eaten by my mom and stepdad who wanted to eat a cookie dinner, or something. Screw that! Ugh! So, I had about three, and figured everyone would be satisfied, and hopefully if fate was good to me, I could have cookies for a snack the next day (Maybe with some peppermint tea) and by the end of the evening we were out again. *#$#ing flip!

Ya know, I'm constantly reminded of why I really HATE medical doctors and why I'm not in the medical field of science. Docots killed awsome grandma about 4 years ago (gave her the wrong meds)... and nowmy other grandma just got a pace-maker put in...which seems routine. But apparently the duidn't test it like they should have...because they're doctors and they are soo freaking busy..and she has been feeling crappy since she had this pacemaker put in. So she went to the dr for the Nth time, and he finally came to the remarkable conclusion that wither the wires are bad, or the pacemaker is. And the best part is, my grandmother is soo weak that she isn;t supposed to have surgery with anastesia anymore because it can kill her, but monday they are going to do surgery on her ANYWAY (70 yr old lady) to try to fix a problem that they caused....and they are giving her a survival estimate of <40%. wtf. And she's like 2000 miles away, I'm in the middle of school so i can;t even be with that half of my family...my mom's flipping out (it's her mother)...talk about a mess.
I thought about this and compared it to the vast amount of non-school related problems that i have( and that I'm not gonna post here) and i have to wonder what the hell i did to deserve this...i think i did something and God must REALLY hate me for it.

I advise against having a salt water tank they're a b*tch trust me. Also salt water fish are delicate especially the slugs because they usually feed on exotic, expensive things like coral and sea fans. I used to work at a fish store and alot of the salt water critters would end up dying because you really can't replicate the ocean (which never changes as far as PH, etc goes) in the home. One friend of mine likened it to taking them out of the ocean and keeping them in a bucket in the livingroom.

But yeah, sea slugs are awesome!

Thought:
-I'm such a retard! I parked in my driveway last night and, or course, I can't get my car out because it's too steep. At least I got out of work, but now I don't have anything to do.
-I guess I could start my yaoi collection over.

And, yeah, don't get me started on the incompetency of some doctors here!!

The whole medical system in this country is sooo messed up, I don't trust them.
I do a truckload of research even before I go to a doctor for some problem, and arm myself with right questions and prepare informations to pass on to the doctor, like when the fever started, any other symptoms, etc, and try to get the most of my precious few minutes of consultation time with so-called medical professionals (which is usually so lackluster.)

Also, preparing myself to argue with the doctor, if necessary, about the medication the doctor wants to prescribe, because many times they don't prescribe what's really best for patients, but they dispense what's pushed by the phermaceutical companies, and unless I specifically request other alternative medicines, they would not give those, and to request that I need to know beforehand what doctors are likely to prescribe, and if that is actuallly the best for me, or if there are other medicines that are known to be better, but manufactured by non-big phermaceuticals, etc., etc.

Yes, I can get all those info out of Internet, but it's such a hassle.
But, I don't want to die because of their imcompetence or their own greed, so I would rather be an educated patient.


Anyway..

- It's been so cold I think my nose getting frostbite everytime I go out.
- I have a long way to go with my Christmas shopping.

The Chinese final wasn't so bad. It was more like the regular written tests we have, only...different. But the fact that the professor had us all gather around and take class pictures calmed our nerves a bit, mei thinks. (Fellow classmate: So...is this test supposed to be long?)

Today's weather has been quite pleasant so far, considering how windy it was last night and early this morning.

Mei has no other obligation until next Thursday except for studying for the ethnic studies final.
