Aaaaw! Crap! My whole long post was lost 'cause of some stupid 'error'. AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!
I'll try to recap some various thoughts of the past few days.
Babysat till past midnight on friday.
Scene work yesterday. Got to use powertools. Also got to get my hands all painty.
My niece's fourth birthday party was rather uneventful, although I did get to go medieval on her pumpkin shaped pin~ata. (Had very good candy inside it too. I got to snitch several bags of gushers.)
Went to a costume dance at a nearby church community center, with my friend Jessica. She, unfortunatley didn't know many people there, as it was a gathering of various branches, and I knew absolutely nobody, so that made mingling rather difficult. My hair was very cute, if I may say so myself. It was pinned up with various clips and combs, and it looked long-ish again.
I hadn't had much time to prepare, so I just wore my rather masculine yukata and uncomfortable geta. Yukata sleeves are flappy and very fun for flailing around in. I met and chatted it up with a few people; some I didn't get to know as well as I would have liked to. (The guy dressed as Rufio from "Hook" seemed like a lot of fun, although it was hard to get to talk to him around his posse of girls. I also tried pursuing a dance with the fellow dressed as a tree, but he seemed disiterested. Munter.) Danced with various people though, and it was nice.
I think I kinda hit it off with a guy in a kangaroo suit during the Monster Mash, during which we both did some stupid dance moves and copied each other. We had a little mixed contact after that, until the last two songs, in which we did the Cha-cha slide side by side, and danced the last slow song together. Slow dances are good conversation times. His name is Adrian, he is a soccer player who likes drama, he is also a senior who gets mistaken for a hyper freshman, and he thinks we should 'hang out' sometime. So I gave him my cell number and e-mail, and we agreed to keep in touch.
In that situation, would 'hang out' necessarily constitute dating? I'm so unfamiliar with the whole idea. I'd really like to get to know him better, though. We seem to have a lot in common. (And what can I say? The kangaroo thing is pretty hot.
I don't think I've actively noticed this before, but I seem to be wooed rather easily by a man who can dance well. I think I have for a long time, but I didn't conciously realize it until last night, when various young men showed off their breakdancing/other flamboyant dancing in the center of a group circle. There was one in particular, a rather metro-looking guy in (tight) jeans and a white tshirt, who was simply incredible. I was in awe. The way he moved was so fantastic. *__*
Once again, I feel my boy-liker mode switching on. Ew. Cooties.
