Don't worry, high school doesn't matter too much. Just make sure that you apply yourself when you get to college.
If I do go to college that is. I'm not even sure of that right now. I love learning, but most of what I do learn is from my own personal researches, not school. I've never been great with the 'system' as I called it, which caused me to be a very angsty self-important little middle schooler. Since High-School, I've mellowed out a lot and just accepted the way things are. (Plus the small amount of freedom in choosing classes has been wonderful. I only took the most minimal amount of math- probably the reason last year went by with such wonderful ease. None of that satanic art to clog my brain.)
Right now, I'm the only Spanish IV student, doing independent study, and I'm really loving it. Maybe it's because I'm getting more freedom in my areas of study, and assignments, and I'm seeing more personal relevance in what I'm doing, whereas ever since I was eight, I was always frustrated at being dragged back at the group's busy work pace.
I also love my Multicultural Literature and Creative Writing classes, so there's enough enthusiasm in those subjects alone for me to get my stuff done.

... Eh, I'll probably never drink, even when I am of age. *Shrug* If I want to act stupid, I can always do it under my own discretion. No need to poison my liver while I'm at it.
